Chapter 4095: Lose Heart
Hick remembered they had recognized her. "Right! How do you guys know Fila? I find it hard to believe Soul Gem would have talked about her."
"He didn’t," Roan explained. "We saw Soul Gem’s past during the Extinction Sphere event. We know she fell under Tuana’s control and all of that. It could be said she was one of the main reasons for Lisan to be split into two."
"I see..." Hick thought about it for a moment and decided to talk. "Well, first things first. Fila’s name is Fila Werdlem. She’s the Werdlem Emperor’s Daughter."
Roan wasn’t surprised. When Fila said that she wouldn’t be punished too heavily, he could guess she definitely had some deep relationship with someone important in the Werdlem Empire.
Hick continued. "Above all, she’s Soul Gem’s lover. When I brought Soul Gem and Hyeoumu out of the Universe, Soul Gem also kept her in his Pocket Dimensional Realm. Soul Gem went out to help my master, but there is no doubt it was also so he could leave this place with Fila."
"As you can easily imagine, their relationship wasn’t exactly seen with good eyes by Soza Werdlem. It is as cliché as it could possibly get. Powerful dad doesn’t like the no-name guy. The no-name guy elopes with the daughter, and they run away. Cheesy as fuck. Oh, don’t tell him I said cliché and cheesy. He’ll get mad."
Alright, it was cliché and cheesy, no doubt. But that wasn’t the main problem. "We get that part. But how did Fila manage to get back here? And what about this ’don’t tell soul gem’ shit? Why would he go crazy?"
"Those are the big questions, aren’t they?" Hick shrugged. "I know Fila left the Empire with the Soul Gem. However, how exactly did she manage to get back? I’m certain I didn’t do it. And since she asked not tell Soul Gem, it seems like he didn’t do it either, right?"
He continued. "My guess? She was prepared to return even after Soul Gem brought her out. You probably heard in the past how the Werdlem Empire gets some ’unwelcome visitors’ now and then. Well, if others can force their way in, it is not hard to guess the Werdlem Imperial Family has a way to enter the bubble too."
Roan thought for a moment. "The only question now is what happened to her after the Extinction Sphere event. Since she returned here, she obviously isn’t under anyone’s control anymore... or so I believe."
Hick didn’t have an answer. "I wish I knew that, but I didn’t ask, nor did I have time for it. As far as I’m aware, Soul Gem might be thinking she is dead. Well, I’m definitely not going back in there to ask. At least not now."
That didn’t look like something they could find an answer for anytime soon. "Alright, let’s leave it at that now."
Hick agreed. "Good. Let’s go out. I’ll bring us to my friend’s territory."
He appeared outside with Kentucky and Rean, opening a Spatial Gate right after. Finally, they disappeared inside.

Back in the Werdlem Imperial Main Palace, Soza was sitting on his throne as he looked down on two members of his Werdlem Imperial Family. He turned his attention to the first one. "Now then, Gin, care to explain why the hell you were there?"
Gin couldn’t help but swallow hard. He knew that he would be in trouble, but he never expected the Emperor himself would call him. By now, he already found out about the Terminarch and that its body was taken away. That’s one of the twelve pillars that support the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble, so he knew how deeply he screwed up. Even worse, he did not manage to get the Vial of God Blood.
"S-Sir! I wasn’t aware of the importance of that location. As I mentioned in the report, I was there for the sake of Havira, the Three Legged Golden Crow," Gin tried to explain. "If anything, my sudden arrival there actually made things a lot harder for that group to take the body."
"But they did take, didn’t they?" Soza’s expression was cold. "I heard it. You fought against a bunch of Divinities, and you couldn’t even gain the upperhand. Also, I have reports that you used your Imperial Blood to open that formation. Are you sure it wasn’t you who allowed the intruders inside? How would they get past a Legendary Level Formation without the authority to do so?"
Gin dropped his head even lower. "S-Sir, I did no such thing, I swear! The opening I got in the formation was only enough for me and my subordinates to get through. If someone had used that opportunity to get inside, I would have noticed. We were in a Rank C Universe, after all. Everyone in there would be suppressed to the Divinity Realm."
"As for why we couldn’t beat them, that’s because they were freaks! I’ve never seen such powerful Divinities before. And I’m sure they were Divinities, as they weren’t using a single iota of Celestial Energy or controlling Celestial Laws. Not only me, but none of my subordinates could do anything either."
Soza narrowed his eyes. It was meaningless for Gin to lie to him as he had measures in place to detect such foolishness. "And what exactly were you after in that place? Havira, right? What could a Divinity Golden Crow possibly have that a Peak Stage Celestial from my Werdlem Imperial Family could want?"
That’s the part Gin hasn’t spoken so far. He truly didn’t want to talk about the Vial of God Blood. However, looking at the murderous eyes of Soza, he could only comply. "She had a Vial with God Blood inside."
Soza’s eyebrow raised a little, showing his surprise. Those three weren’t the only ones in that throne room. Other princes and princesses, as well as other members of the family, were present too. The moment the words God Blood appeared, everyone seemed to get a lot more interested. "God Blood, uh? Considering this Havira’s closeness to the Terminarch, it is probably his own blood. I guess that’s the one thing even our Werdlem Empire couldn’t provide you. Let me guess, it would be one of your last chances. How far until you lose your heart?"
Gin gritted his teeth. He was pretty old himself, and he had been stuck in the Peak Stage of the Celestial Realm for a very long time. "At best, another two and a half million years."
