Death… And Me

Chapter 4242: Assault

Chapter 4242: Assault

The twins and Gootiu embarked on the airplane, but they weren’t the only ones. They could see many experts, of whom many were Anchor Gods. The majority were still Celestial Realm Experts, though. Their expressions were tense.

The Godly Subjugation Guild had thousands of the same kind of Airplane, and experts from all over the city were rushing there to take them.

Inside, at the front of the airplane, there was a big screen. At the moment, it was showing a map of Jufafner Country and another five countries on both Jufafner’s sides, for a total of six. There were various written reports passing on the side of the map, so fast that no normal person could read them. Fortunately, it wasn’t a problem for cultivators.

"Invasion?" Rean asked Clayton.

"Yes," Clayton confirmed. "The Godly Creatures are making an assault, no doubt led by Level Three ones, Godly Predators."

"Predators?" Gootiu thought for a moment. "Is that a specific race?"

Clayton remembered they didn’t know much yet. "I guess this is a good opportunity to talk about them as we fly there. The Godly Creatures are separated by levels, but they also carry specific names. For example, a Level One Godly Creature is also called a Godly Spawn. Level Two goes by Godly Beast. Finally, Level Three ones are called Godly Predators. It is not a specific race, but the general nomenclature for said levels."

"So, Godly Predators are leading the assault. Does that mean they are intelligent creatures?" Roan asked.

"No," and Clayton shook his head. "As far as we know, there are no intelligent Godly Creatures around the Besgol Region. But then again, the strongest Godly Creatures to have ever appeared were only Godly Horrors. Ah, Horros are Level Four ones."

He continued. "That is not to say there are no intelligent Godly Creatures. It’s just that we aren’t too sure about their existence in our surrounding area since we haven’t seen one yet."

’Senior Default?’ Rean immediately connected to Default in the Great Void through Sister Orb’s help.

And Default obviously answered. ’There are indeed intelligent Godly Creatures. However, you won’t see one at Level Four, not even Level Five. They only start to appear at Level Six, and even so, that is pretty rare. Most Level Six creatures still don’t have intelligence, or they have the minds of children. Really thoughtful Level Six Creatures are pretty much nonexistent. Only at Level Seven do Godly Creatures generally have intelligence on par with us.’

Roan narrowed his eyes. On the screen at the front of the airplane, he could see the movements of the Godly Creatures as they moved in the countries’ directions, including their Jufafner. It was obvious that the Wangamiglia Sect was located in a bordering country to the outside world. In any case, what bothered Roan was that the movements of the Godly Creatures looked way too intricate. That’s not what you would expect from mindless creatures.

However, another thing he noticed was that the Godly Creatures haven’t entered the countries yet. They were still far away, and it would take a while until they really arrived at the borders.

Roan turned his attention to Clayton. "Is this kind of assault normal?"

Clayton nodded. "It is. The Godly Creatures are always trying to invade us. The same goes for the other regions. From what I can see, this assault isn’t that big, so it is a good opportunity for seniors to learn."

"Good." Roan very much wanted to see that.

For them, it only took two hours to arrive at the front lines. They were already in a bordering country, and the Wangamiglia Sect was located near the border anyway. Still, the mobilization wasn’t just the six countries. At least another ten countries, further behind Jufafner and the other bordering countries, were also sending their experts over.

When the twins’ group landed, they also saw hundreds of airplanes arriving nonstop. And that was only a single battlefront. They could also see the news with their Ring Communicators, and there were thousands of places that would become battlefields.

"Hey, look over there!" Gootiu suddenly said.

Rean and Roan turned their heads up, and they saw a cultivator flying past them and into the distance. That was the very first cultivator they had seen that could fly with their own power. "Zone God?"

Clayton confirmed. "Yes, Seniors. That was a Zone God, and the purple clothes make it obvious that he is an elder or disciple of our sect. Considering the countries involved in this assault, we should see around ten or so Zone Gods giving us support in our frontline alone. That’s quite a lot, but the Godly Subjulgation Guild never holds back when it comes to protecting our Besgol Region."

The twins couldn’t help but sigh. Only ten Zone Gods were already considered a lot, and there are obviously tens of thousands of experts in this place, more coming. That showed just how hard it was to cultivate in the Celestial Plane.

Truth be told, the twins still don’t know how to break through into the Anchor God Realm. They are Peak Stage Celestials, and they are at the very limit of that cultivation, not able to progress even an iota further. Their only choice was to become Anchor Gods now. Of course, now wasn’t the time to check about it. They could learn more later when they returned to the sect. They entered it mainly to gather information, after all.

All the cultivators organized into formations that covered most of the important points. Roan could see it all happening with his RC, and he nodded slightly. Whoever was commanding it all knew exactly what they were doing.

The twins also understood why Clayton was happy to be in the guiding duty. They ended up joining a group of experts who were all new ascenders, sent to the very back of the battlefield and given quite a privileged view of the overall situation. "Would any Godly Creature make it here at all?" Gootiu couldn’t help but ask.

Clayton surprisingly nodded. "There are always a few creatures that make it past the defense lines."

And Roan agreed. "There is no helping it. The battle formations of the various groups made it so some Godly Creatures would purposely get by. If the commanders of this battlefield really wanted to, they could stop any Godly Creature from breaking through, but they obviously don’t want to."

"Eh?!" Clayton didn’t expect that answer. "Are you sure?"

Roan nodded. "There is no doubt. It is a very smart decision."

"Why?" Clayton was indeed very young and didn’t know much about such things.

"Because they need the youngsters to learn," Roan explained. "This entire battlefield was made taking safety as the main priority, but also to give everyone, including those far behind, the necessary experience for the future."

Roan then turned around, looking even further back. He could see a few cultivators alone in specific locations. There was no doubt in his mind. Those were Anchor Gods or maybe even Aura Gods positioned to offer support to the new groups, be they the ascenders or the youngsters born in the Celestial Plane. "Truly, that’s the work of many years of experience. Not just a single person, but many generations."
