Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4943: THE Youngest and THE Oldest V

Chapter 4943: THE Youngest and THE Oldest V

Noah asked this as he truly couldn’t tell.

And it was because he couldn’t tell that he felt this being might just be there already.

If anyone had achieved such wonder, it would be THE Creature.

But Noah needed confirmation, not simply theory.

Before him, THE Creature remained calm and without expressing too much emotion. His multicolored Effigy held steady, those swirling pupils continuing their eternal rotation without acceleration or deceleration. He seemed thoughtful for a moment, considering the question with weight that spoke of how seriously he took it despite his casual demeanor.

Then he spoke.

"Yes and no."

BOOM!

The words hung in the stellar space between them.

"I cannot say much about it. Because... it will spoil the surprise."

His noble features shifted into something that might have been gentle amusement.

"You will actually thank me for not saying too much on it. Some things deserve to be experienced in their entirety. And beings like you and I are only at the beginning stages of our journey. We should not spoil each other’s starting points."

His voice dropped to something more serious.

"It deserves to be experienced. The Scales deserve to be experienced without being spoiled. Even though it may be cryptic, I actually cannot say whether I am...or whether I am not."

He paused, and when he continued, his words carried weight that exceeded their apparent simplicity.

"Existence is too vast. And I have only just grasped a foothold of it."

The multicolored flames of his Effigy burned brighter.

"Some Primordial Architects were born at this foothold. They are those blessed in existence, and also the most cursed in existence."

His eyes fixed on Noah with intensity that pressed against the golden flames.

"And I... I was simply someone who wanted to change my fate. Someone who wanted to change my existence. My choices and my weavings ultimately led to where I am today. Just like your choices and your weavings led you to where you are right now."

His voice held finality that couldn’t be argued with.

"It would be a tremendous disservice for me if I were to spoil where you were headed. When you get here, I hope to be there to congratulate you just as I congratulated you for achieving Absolute."

BOOM!

THE Creature made a few things clear.

One was the distinction between them. Even if he didn’t say it clearly, from his words it seemed abundantly apparent that Noah was at one point, and THE Creature was at a distant other point. The gap hadn’t been explicitly defined, but its existence was undeniable. THE Creature spoke of being somewhere that Noah would eventually arrive, spoke of hoping to congratulate him when that arrival occurred!

There was a destination. And Noah wasn’t there yet.

He also said that he moved to change his fate. To change his existence. And he chose to say this right after mentioning the Primordial Architects who were both blessed and cursed across existence. Was THE Creature connected to these beings? Or was he such a being who had altered his weavings of existence to become what he was right now?

Noah couldn’t say for sure.

He’d actually come here with many questions. About THE Living Paradox and his spreading corruption. About THE Primordial Mycelia and its infection of the Strategoi. About THE Primordial Chaos and whether he might be compromised without knowing it. About prophecies and their implications. About everything that was occurring across Observable Existence.

But as he was here right now, it didn’t seem like all these many questions mattered.

Because asking about any of it was essentially asking for help from THE Creature.

And he...

"I... do not need any help."

BOOM!

Noah found himself saying these words as if he’d come under some form of realization and epiphany!

The golden flames of his Absolute Effigy burned brighter as the truth of the statement settled into his foundations. He’d come here thinking he needed guidance and answers. Thinking he needed assistance from someone more experienced, more powerful, more established in the heights of existence. But standing here now, facing THE Creature as an equal in manifestation if not in achievement, he understood something fundamental.

The adversity was his.

The challenges were his.

The path forward was his to walk, not to be carried along by another!

If he sought help...he would actually be halting his own foundations!

When he arrived at this point, for the first time, THE Creature smiled lightly.

The expression transformed his noble features into something warmer. His multicolored eyes burned.

"Adversity is a rare thing for people like us."

His voice resonated through the stellar space with depth that pressed against Noah’s perception.

"To have so much of it, I am slightly jealous of you. Because I had to do a lot to bombard myself with adversity to get me where I currently am."

He paused, and when he continued, his words held weight that came from eons of accumulated experience.

"Sometimes it will feel unbearable. Sometimes you may feel loss. Sometimes those you made promises to... can look at you and tell you how you let them down."

His swirling eyes held understanding.

Was he talking about Origin? THE Dead Order? Law?

"The suffering. The ups and downs. All of these are part of existence. I am sure that soon enough, our difficulties might align. But until then, you have your difficulties, and I have mine."

His smile grew slightly wider.

"Out of all of this adversity is only endless brilliance."

He leaned forward, his Effigy shifting with the motion as his words took on intensity that pressed against the stellar space itself.

"Do you know... every single Absolute out there, every entity that may believe that they are standing at the very peak of the First Scale of Existence... none are using even one percent of what their very existence is capable of?"

BOOM!

The words struck Noah with force that made his golden flames tremble!

"Not even a single percentage."

THE Creature’s voice dropped to something almost conspiratorial.

"When you get close to THE Second Scale, when you start to understand, truly understand... only then will you realize the immensity of what lies in existence."

His multicolored eyes burned with fire that seemed to contain entire Folds.

"And how we have only been fumbling in the darkness for eons."
