Chapter 2809: You’re Going to Use Her To Give Birth?

Chapter 2809: You’re Going to Use Her To Give Birth?

Zu An was taken aback. Why is the Dragon Slaying Saber in her hands?

But he had no time to think deeper into it. Guo Fu was already surrounded by the Mongol soldiers. To avoid being humiliated, she raised her dagger and thrust it toward her chest.

Zu An hurriedly flicked his finger to knock away her dagger.

Guo Fu turned around and saw the iconic masked man with a single arm. For a brief moment, she was stunned. “Big brother Yang...”

Zu An had made sure to disguise himself to avoid others from recognizing him as Guo Polu, but he hadn’t expected even Guo Fu to fail to recognize him.

The Mongol soldiers were infuriated at someone getting in their way, but their eyes lit up in delight when they noticed Tingxue. What amazing luck we have today! First that beautiful lady, and now another gorgeous babe!

Some Mongol soldiers cheered. They rushed at Tingxue, fearing that their peers would get to her before them.

Tingxue’s face turned cold. She drew her sword and slew her way through the soldiers.

Zu An made his way to Guo Fu’s side and asked, “Are you all right?”

“Big brother Yang!” Guo Fu stared at him in a daze. All her grievances and fear she had suppressed in recent days gushed up in her heart, and tears began streaming down her cheeks. She lunged into his embrace and started crying.

Yang Guo had already saved her and Yelu Qi once in the great battle of Xianyang back then. She hadn’t expected to bump into him again now that Xianyang had been breached, and she was cornered.

She thought about how she had wrongly placed her trust in Yelu Qi, and complicated emotions swirled in her mind. Why did I treat him like that in the past? Things could have been different otherwise.

Zu An was speechless.

Even Tingxue also looked over, intrigued by the situation on their side.

Zu An shrugged. He was confused as well.

Tingxue’s expression became increasingly colder as her blows grew sharper. It didn’t take her long to massacre the soldiers around her and return to their side.

“Miss... Long...” Guo Fu looked awkward. It suddenly struck her how inappropriate it was for her to be hugging Yang Guo in front of Xiaolongnu. “Miss Long, why do you look so young... Tingxue?”

Zu An gently tapped Guo Fu’s neck, and the latter fainted. “We can’t reveal our identities here. Let’s take her away with us first.”

More Mongol soldiers were rushing over after hearing the news, and there was no lack of experts among them. Even with their current level of martial arts, it would be disastrous if Yang Guo and Tingxue would be encircled by them.

Tingxue nodded. She glanced at the Dragon Slaying Saber and asked, “What about that?”

Zu An grabbed the Dragon Slaying Saber and flitted some distance across the city before casually tossing it into a hut to hide it. According to the world’s trajectory, the Dragon Slaying Saber fell into enemy hands.

He couldn’t simply hand it over, as the Mongols would have suspected that something was wrong with it. It would be more believable if they searched the city and chanced upon it.

During the chaos, the two took Guo Fu out of Xianyang and temporarily settled down in a cavern in the mountains.

Tingxue eyed Zu An. “How do you intend to deal with her?”

“We need to figure out what happened to her first.” Zu An recalled how she was carrying the Dragon Slaying Saber earlier. Something must have happened.

“But she already recognized me. She might figure out your identity from that.” Tingxue was worried. According to their plan, Guo Polu should have died when Xianyang was breached, as there was no other record of him in history. If Guo Fu recognized him, it could lead to unexpected complications.

“That’s simple.”

Zu An released Guo Fu’s acupoint, causing the latter to slowly regain consciousness. When she met Zu An’s gaze, he quickly used the Nine Yin Sutra’s Soul Transference Method.

Guo Fu looked completely dazed, but her eyes swiftly regained their clarity. By then, she was already convinced that the duo before her were Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu.

Zu An asked, “What happened? Why were you fleeing with the Dragon Slaying Saber? Where’s Yelu Qi?”

Guo Fu shouldn’t have known about the Heavenly Saber and Dragon Slaying Saber Plan.

Guo Fu’s eyes reddened. “Big brother Yang, I have severed ties with that fellow. He... He defected to the Mongols!”

Zu An and Tingxue exchanged looks, though they weren’t surprised. They had anticipated such a possibility.

Guo Fu continued with tears flowing down her cheeks. “I recently learned that he had been leaking information from Xianyang to the Mongols. If not for him, Xianyang wouldn’t have been breached so quickly.”

“He would have been of considerable status even if he had joined the Mongols. The two of you have been on good terms all these years. How did you end up like that?” Zu An was perplexed.

He wasn't surprised that Yelu Qi had defected to the Mongols. He was surprised that the latter hadn’t taken Guo Fu with him, though.

“He wanted to take me with him, but how could I be with a traitor? Our parents guarded Xianyang for many years!” Guo Fu spat hatefully.

Zu An was surprised. He'd always thought Guo Fu was a bumpkin who only cared about herself, but who could have thought she had such spirit in her?

“Did he cause your parents’ death?”

Guo Fu shook her head. “He didn’t. He used another name, Yelu Zhu, when dealing with the Mongols to avoid staining my parents’ reputation, especially since he’s the leader of the Beggar Sect. He even tried persuading my parents to surrender, promising to ensure their safety. But my parents refused to join the Mongols and chose to end their lives instead.”

“When I learned that he was planning to hand the Dragon Slaying Saber, which my parents and grandfather painstakingly crafted, to the Mongols, I immediately stole and escaped with it. However, the Mongols quickly noticed it and pursued me. That’s when you appeared and saved me.”

Zu An was stunned. It was recorded in history that Yelu Zhu was Yelu Chucai’s oldest son, but who could have known that Yelu Qi was actually Yelu Zhu?

Yelu Qi did have a conscience after all. He and his father were Mongol officials, so it wasn’t surprising for them to support their homeland. Guo Jing and Huang Rong had already guessed as much, or else they wouldn’t have excluded Yelu Qi and Guo Fu from the Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Saber Plan.

But news would still have eventually gotten out.

There had to be people in the Beggar Sect who knew about Yelu Qi’s betrayal. In the first place, Yelu Qi was a distinguished young master, whose disposition was at odds with the Beggar Sect. This could be where the conflict between the Beggar Sect’s Clean Clothes Faction and Dirty Clothes Faction started from...

“Speaking of which, where is the Dragon Slaying Saber?” Guo Fu suddenly recalled this matter and searched the area.

Zu An explained, “There were Mongol soldiers all around Xianyang. We had to fend them off while retreating; there was no way we could have carried such a heavy saber with us then. So, we hid it in one of the residences.”

Guo Fu sighed. “Big brother Yang, you should have left me there and taken the saber instead.”

Zu An was surprised. This was unlike Guo Fu’s personality. But on second thought, she had gone through a lot within such a short time—her parents’ deaths, her siblings’ disappearance, and her husband defecting to the enemy side. It was normal for her to seek death.

Knowing that, Zu An dared not leave her alone here. “What do you plan to do from now on?”

“I don’t know.”

“You can travel with us in the meantime.”

...

The group made their way to E’mei Mountain.

Firework was initially delighted to see them, but upon seeing Guo Fu, she looked at Zu An with a perplexed gaze. “So, you've made up your mind to have her bear your child?”

Zu An was stunned.
