Chapter 3858: Peak Head Mountain Roar

Chapter 3858: Peak Head Mountain Roar

"...New junior is good!" High Elder Shatter Peak’s voice was the only part Lin Mu managed to hear clearly.

Then the conversation stopped as three pairs of eyes turned toward him.

Lin Mu stood at the entrance.

"Hello." Little Bull said while waving his hand.

For a moment, there was silence, then High Elder Shatter Peak grinned.

"Come, come!" The High Elder waved his large hand. "Little Bull, we’ve been waiting for you!"

"We almost went out to find you." High Elder Palm Saber added.

Little Bull walked toward them. "Why?"

High Elder Shatter Peak blinked. "Because you disappeared."

"I went to the library." Little Bull replied. "And then for training with seniors."

"Ah." High Elder Shatter Peak nodded.

High Elder Palm Saber looked at him. "You forgot to tell him anything, didn’t you?"

High Elder Shatter Peak frowned. "I told him where the food was."

"That’s not what I meant."

"I showed him the rooms too."

"You pointed at a building."

"He found a room, didn’t he?"

High Elder Palm Saber stared at him for several seconds while High Elder Shatter Peak stared back. The old man sitting upon the throne watched the two of them without speaking. Finally, High Elder Palm Saber sighed.

"I told you we should have sent someone with him."

"He seems fine." High Elder Shatter Peak replied.

Little Bull nodded. "I’m fine."

"See?" High Elder Shatter Peak said proudly while High Elder Palm Saber rubbed his forehead.

Lin Mu almost chuckled internally.

At least he now understood why no one had come looking for him until so much time had passed. High Elder Shatter Peak had apparently assumed that simply showing Little Bull where he could eat and sleep was sufficient orientation for a new disciple.

Considering the Wild Peak, perhaps it actually was.

Lin Mu’s attention soon returned to the old man and he wondered who he was.

High Elder Shatter Peak noticed Little Bull staring.

"Ah, right." The High Elder stood. "Little Bull, bow."

Little Bull looked at him. "Why?"

High Elder Shatter Peak pointed toward the old man. "This is our Peak Head."

Lin Mu was surprised and he immediately understood.

Little Bull turned toward the old man and bowed respectfully. "Greetings, Peak Head."

The old man continued looking at him.

Lin Mu remained calm. ’So this is Peak Head Mountain Roar.’

Lin Mu had heard the name several times since entering the Wild Peak as the disciples had mentioned him and so had the elders. Even members from other divisions seemed wary whenever the Wild Peak’s higher ranks were discussed.

Lin Mu had wondered what kind of person led a peak filled with such chaotic body cultivators. Looking at the old man now, Lin Mu felt that his appearance suited the position perfectly.

Peak Head Mountain Roar looked like someone who could pick up an actual mountain and throw it.

His age had done nothing to diminish the sheer physical presence he possessed. Even while sitting quietly, the man seemed to occupy the entire hall. Lin Mu could feel a strange pressure around him despite there being no aura actively released.

The pressure came entirely from his body.

Lin Mu’s expression remained simple though Internally, his thoughts moved quickly.

’Transcendent Immortal.’ There was no doubt.

Lin Mu had already known Peak Head Mountain Roar was one of the Transcendent Immortals of the Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect. The information Lady Kang had gathered mentioned that the sect possessed around ten known Transcendent Immortals, though the exact number could always differ.

The Wild Peak possessed one of them. Until now, Lin Mu had never encountered a body cultivator who had reached a level equivalent to the Transcendent Immortal realm. Cattaleya was the closest comparison he had.

Lin Mu had personally witnessed the terrifying vitality within her body. Her physique was monstrous, while her natural constitution made her physical strength even more impressive. Peak Head Mountain Roar felt similar.

Lin Mu could sense his vitality despite the man keeping it perfectly contained.

That alone was shocking.

For ordinary body cultivators, vitality naturally leaked from their bodies. The stronger they became, the harder it was to contain every trace of it. The members of the Wild Peak were especially obvious in this regard.

Even the disciples possessed vitality that could be sensed from several meters away. The Elders were better at controlling it. High Elder Shatter Peak and High Elder Palm Saber kept most of their vitality contained, though Lin Mu could still sense the immense power hidden within them.

But Peak Head Mountain Roar was different. His vitality did not leak and there were no visible fluctuations, red aura, and no feeling of heat. There was simply nothing. And yet Lin Mu could still sense the immensity hidden within the man’s flesh.

It felt like standing beside an ocean contained within a single vessel.

’So this is what a body cultivator equal to a Transcendent Immortal feels like.’ Lin Mu thought and his curiosity increased.

He had encountered Transcendent Immortals before.

Qi cultivators in that realm possessed immense power. Their Immortal Qi had undergone qualitative changes, while their control over the Dao and natural energies reached terrifying levels.

Body cultivators followed a different path as their power was concentrated within themselves. Lin Mu carefully observed Peak Head Mountain Roar.

’His vitality might be comparable to Cattaleya.’ Lin Mu hesitated internally.

’Perhaps even greater.’ He could not tell.

Cattaleya possessed an extraordinary physique and bloodline due to being a High Human. Peak Head Mountain Roar had cultivated for an unknown number of years. The old man was also deliberately containing his strength.

Lin Mu could only make a rough estimate. Still, one thing was certain, Peak Head Mountain Roar was strong.

Very strong.

If the man suddenly released his full vitality within the hall, Lin Mu suspected the entire building would suffer despite the arrays reinforcing it.

’No wonder the other elders are careful around the Wild Peak.’ Lin Mu understood a little more.

Ten thousand members was a tiny number compared to the rest of the Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect. Yet the Wild Peak possessed immense strength. Its weakest Inner Court disciples were equivalent to Third Tribulation Stage Immortals.

Its Elders were even stronger. And then there was Peak Head Mountain Roar. One Transcendent Immortal was enough to change the balance between entire sects.
