Chapter 4488 - Finger Splitting

A stunning golden pillar of light came shooting down from outside the skies and gathered at Tianming's Fiendsky Arm. Then, a black-gold beam of concentrated light shot out from his left middle finger towards Yueling Long in an instant with the power to tear apart the universe itself, leaving a trail of explosive crimson fiend energy behind it!

"Aaaaaah!" Yueling Long cried her lungs out as she swung her swords, mustering the bloody power in front of her and using her empress swordsmanship! Yet, she no longer appeared like an imperial ruler. She had lost the mindset and dignity of one, the incongruency of which greatly weakened her strike even though it was powered by the savage blood energy.

Tens of millions of streams of sword ki formed around her twin swords and gathered into a single star of sword ki within the trajectory of Tianming's beam! Yet, Skypierce Finger had been shot out with the power of the Apex Imperial Constellation, making it far more tenacious than the star of blood.

The beam pierced through the star as well as the imperator behind it before bisecting her horizontally. Her cosmic-god body had been so utterly cut open by the black-gold beam and corrupted with destructive force to the point that it began to fall apart.

"This is... impossible..." Feeling her body cut into two felt unreal to her. She looked around the empty space around her. Her three sisters and only family had disintegrated before her very eyes like smoke in the wind. Everything she had experienced flashed across her mind in an instant.

However, she wasn't yet dead. Cosmic gods didn't die after being cut in two. Even so, she could feel the energy leaving her body. Both her own energy and the power of blood tribulation she had borrowed continued to leak out, much faster in the latter case. As Tianming said earlier, borrowed power was ultimately not hers.

"Go!" Tianming advanced coldly, ordering his lifebound beasts to charge ahead. Sundering Cage, Genesis Scourge, Daybreak Worldslash, Grand-Dao Dharma Lotus and all three of Sixth's soul attacks blasted out at once at the upper half of Yueling Long's body!

Tianming, on the other hand, used his sword formation to unleash a universe-destroying Ninefirm Starfall Exorcism. With the Apex Imperial Constellation's power behind it, the move was even more hypercharged than before. The strike utterly eradicated Yueling Long's lower body, forcing her cosmic-god essence out!

Bai Ye, Bai Ling and Bai Feng's Phantasmic Bubbles, Sword of Silent Return and Venus Windstorm breached the spherical essence along with the Grand-Orient Sword, marking the end of the era of the four female imperatores.

Did I make the wrong choice? No, I couldn't have! Aren't I the main character? Why would I be dying here? Her final thoughts were rather confused. All she could still perceive was Tianming's full imperial splendor. The bloody, savage power was gone just like her sisters. And then there was none.

Tianming felt a sense of tranquility settle in his mind. The four imperatores of Yueling and the imperatores of Aquamarine and Torch Dragon were completely wiped out. All of the imperator-class fighters that the Adjudicator had called to fight at Vermillion Bird were gone!

The forces of Torch Dragon and Aquamarine suffered yet another psychic blow of disbelief. Shocked, horrified and despairing, those that still yet lived immediately began to flee. There were even some who cried and begged for mercy, asking to surrender.

As for Prince Liehun's faction, their expressions changed as they witnessed the ebb and flow of the battlefield. Prince Liehun himself wasn't able to stop any of his fellow traitors from kneeling and surrendering. They immediately admitted their wrongs and begged for mercy from Jiang Qingluan, the two sages and Imperator Cheng's cosmic-god essence.

The battle that day had been a costly one, with countless cosmic gods from Vermillion Bird, Torch Dragon and Aquamarine having scattered completely in the ether for eternity.

"Everyone!" Imperator Cheng's stern words could be heard across the entire battlefield. "All this happened at the instigation of the Adjudicator, an outsider to our world! Yet, his words alone managed to cost us countless lives and that of many imperatores."

The cosmic gods who listened were vexed and silent. Those among the defeated that were losing their minds moments ago immediately fell silent. More and more surrendered and were willing to be taken prisoner, a complete inversion from how they acted when they still had the upper hand.

When they thought deeper about it, how could they have borne the cost of the battle even if they had won? Their imperatores were dead and most of their soldiers were wiped out. A crisis of this extent threatened to end their entire kind!

Jiang Qingluan and the two sages celebrated when they saw Tianming slay Yueling Long. This was the biggest push anyone could've done for the battle. Even Imperator Cheng couldn't help himself from looking at Tianming with admiration. He was indeed the child of destiny that Vermillion Bird had acknowledged.

The countless cosmic gods of Vermillion Bird cheered wildly at the sight of Yueling Long's death before turning to look at the final ongoing battle within the Adjudicator's blood hell! It was a rare occasion for tens of billions of cosmic gods to all be of one mind and anxious to learn how the battle would turn out.

Tianming immediately flew towards the blood hell. As a fellow sky plunderer, he had to help his father and elder brother end the battle for good.

Countless cheers erupted when they saw him do so, but they were all too distracted by their excitement to notice the subtle green-leaf glow that pulsed in the heated battlefield. The green radiance scurried across the battlefield and gathered up all the middlekin-astron dust of the imperatores who had perished before sneaking away unnoticed.
