Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4489 - Triumph

Chapter 4489 - Triumph

Countless cosmic gods passionately cheered outside Vermilion Bird as they watched Tianming soar towards the hell of blood. Jiang Qingluan and the rest were also shifting with anticipation. Their side had won the battle on both fronts, including that of the imperatores. If they could finish off the Adjudicator as well, true peace would return to the Realm of Chaos!

But right as Tianming charged into the blood hell, a massive bloody figure of 200-thousand meters in height suddenly backed out of it! The Adjudicator's body was double Tianming's size, making Li Muyang and Li Tianzi look like toddlers before him. Yet, he seemed to be retreating.

Tianming could see the Adjudicator staring down at him from on high outside the blood hell. "Li Tianming, you might think you've won, but you've actually lost horribly!"

The massive giant laughed manically before leaving in a hurry, much to his puzzlement. His father and brother also exchanged a confused glance.

"Is he daft? How did we lose?! He's the one who lost!" Ying Huo snapped as it popped out and flipped the bird in the direction the Adjudicator left in.

"Yeah! We didn't suffer any losses!" Meow Meow said defiantly.

"Well, apart from a few of Chicken Bro's feathers," Lan Huang said.

"He's just making things up," Xian Xian said.

"Maybe he's just a sore loser who can't leave without the last word!" Ji Ji said.

Tianming's lifebound beasts loathed the Adjudicator to no end. They had suffered quite as a result of his actions, after all. Disgusted though they might be, they didn't doubt the immensity of the Adjudicator's might. Either way, his swift departure also caused the blood hell to fade away, marking the end of the battle.

"Dad, Big Brother, are you two alright?" Tianming asked.

"I'm fine."

"No problems here."

Tianming noticed that they had only suffered light wounds that glowed like blood, but their own powers wiped away any trace of the Adjudicator's energy soon enough. That was odd, since Tianming had experienced the Adjudicator's power before and knew how terrifying and violent it was.

Even though I'm as powerful as an imperator and was able to kill Yueling Long, I wasn't able to resist the Adjudicator at all. Are dad and Tianzi that much more powerful than me? Tianming couldn't figure it out at all.

Perhaps his father and brother had many more tricks up their sleeves that he wasn't aware of. Once more, they seemed mysterious to him. What kind of power did they and the Adjudicator truly possess? What lay above the level of imperator?

He didn't overthink it and focused on taking care of the aftermath. Somewhat worried, he asked, "Dad, didn't you say you couldn't leave Nullity at all?"

"What choice did I have? They were going to kill you, so I had to take a risk. I couldn't afford to just sit around while someone like that tried to kill my son," Li Muyang said.

"What's going to happen next, then? Will there be consequences?" Tianming asked.

"Let's hope that I'm lucky enough to evade my pursuers."

Li Tianzi laughed and patted Tianming forcefully on the shoulder. "Don't worry about it. There's a risk, but it's not a guaranteed disaster. We already won, so let's work on the cleanup."

"Sure." Tianming felt relaxed given how nonchalant they seemed.

As they were about to head back to Vermillion Bird, Li Muyang said, "Tianming, once we deal with things here, you should go to the Realm of Order for a bit. With the death of the four Yueling imperatores, the starcages of Yueling, Aquamarine and Torch Dragon are no longer a threat to us. Even so, we have to prepare ourselves against the Adjudicator and the being above him. We'll see what kind of trouble they'll whip up next."

"Got it. If that happens, we'll have Uncle Feng and his firemaples hide out at Nullity with us," Tianming said.

They quickly rejoined the rest to thunderous cheers. The welcoming party of Vermillion Bird was led by Jiang Qingluan and the two sages.

"Tianming, we won!" She couldn't hold her excitement back. Seeing the person she liked made her feel an indescribable rush of agitation.

"We didn't just win, we triumphed!" Tianming smiled and looked at the sea of cosmic gods before him. Those brave warriors had fought to the end unrelentingly, even those who had fallen. They put the might of Vermillion Bird on full display. This was a hot-blooded people filled with passion and a spark to protect their homes. They were willing to burn away their own lives to do so.

In contrast, there were also many prisoners of war next to the victorious army as well as the traitors from Prince Liehun's camp. They seemed completely crestfallen and knew what awaited them next. Prince Liehun's wife was single handedly subdued by Sage Chen. She pleaded for mercy nonstop since she was taken prisoner.

"Do you see? The Adjudicator that you all worshiped so much didn't give a rat's ass about you! You fools were nothing but tools for the enemy!" Sage Chen berated them harshly. These traitors would either be sentenced to death or imprisonment.

"It's a shame that Prince Liehun left with too many people." Sage Xing said as he analyzed the situation. "Many cosmic gods on the prince's side weren't willing to leave their homes even if that meant they would be taken prisoner, quite a few of them immediately followed the prince when he fled once they saw the enemy troops fall."

"Who cares? There are only so many imperial-class starcages in the Realm of Chaos. Where could they possibly run?" Tianming didn't care about those clowns at all.

"Perhaps they'll follow Granny Longya or Cang Shanyuan," Jiang Qingluan said. "They left at the same time, so they either went back to Aquamarine or Torch Dragon."

"They would rather leave their homes than be imprisoned. Do they still expect the Adjudicator to turn the situation around for them?" Tianming said.
