Chapter 2108: Idiot

"Hahaha, a fool will always remain a fool." General Robert laughed in delight now that he knew he didn’t have to chase after Rikard any longer.

"You’ll be my daughter’s puppet, so you can protect her for the rest of your pathetic existence." Rikard was irate, all he wanted at the moment was to kill General Robert and be done with it.

General Robert laughed at Rikard’s words. This was not the first time he heard this words, and unlike before, this time, he was the one with the advantage.

While General Robert and Rikard battled to the death, the same could be said for the Ninth stage Sovereigns.

The duo who had to deal with Garth, Tate, and Cassian were not even able to evade the attacks and could only block. All three were Darkness Elementalists, so they were not the fastest.

On Grey’s end, he was still on the back foot. This couldn’t be helped, after all, he had to face off against six Ninth stage Sovereigns. Although one of them was a puppet, it still didn’t take away the fact that it was a powerful being. A Ninth stage Sovereign was considered as the top experts in both the human and the Gnome world. It was difficult to break through to the Peak of the Ninth stage, and it was even harder to reach the Half God Plane.

Grey looked at the incoming attacks and dodged them. He only blocked the attacks he was confident he could stop.

The assault from Kora and the others didn’t stop, they attacked with even more ferocity, hoping the injured Grey would be weakened.

’Damn it.’ Grey cursed internally as he was forced to bear the brunt of another attack. Blood dripped from the side of his mouth due to his internal injuries, but he wiped it off in a haste and focused on defending himself. He needed another opportunity to take out one more of the Gnomes.

Kora locked onto Grey, making sure it would be impossible for him to use his space element. She didn’t even bother to bring out any item that could seal the space around them since she was very confident she could stop Grey.

Grey tried to use his space element to sneak close to Baern, but he was stopped by Kora who was prepared. After Kora stopped him, she sent out a powerful darkness elemental claw and grabbed him.

Grey was unable to break free from the claw and was dragged away. As he struggled, a strong repulsive force opened the claw that held him, giving him the chance he needed to escape from her clutches. He was faced with another attack after breaking free from Kora’s clutches, an attack he could do nothing against but to try to block.

A light screen made from the lightning element appeared in front of him to block the attack. The screen was shattered, but he was able to evade the attack and draw closer to one of the Gnomes.

The Gnome Grey moved closer to panicked at the sight of him approaching and hurriedly retreated in a bid to escape from Grey.

Grey, seeing this, stretched out his right hand, and as the Gnome retreated, he felt a strong energy pulling him towards Grey.

The Gnome struggled, trying to break free from this strange pulling force. Kora appeared between them and as she spread out her palms, Grey felt a repulsive energy pushing him back. The energy didn’t only push Grey back, it also pushed the Gnome away from Grey, saving the life of the Gnome in the process.

Grey’s plan was once again foiled by Kora, making his hate for her increase. He had always hated fighting against other Space Elementalists, and although he learned a thing or two from them, these fights were always the ones he hated the most.

After being stopped from attacking that particularGnome, Grey changed his targets and went straight for Baern. Baern was the only one with a puppet, as long as he could take Baern out, he knew things would be easier for him.

The Gnomes had been taking advantage of Baern’s puppet to take most of the attacks aimed at them. Since a puppet doesn’t feel any form of pain, it was unaffected even though it sustained some injuries in the process.

Baern, seeing Grey coming for him, summoned his puppet to block Grey’s advance.

Grey was unperturbed by the puppet. With a flick of his fingers, a four colored fusion orb flew in front of him. The orb reached the puppet, exploding after contact.

Baern used the opportunity to escape, but he was too late.

Grey was ready for him, so after sending out the fusion orb, he also used his space element to appear on the other side of the resulting explosion.

Baern, who was escaping, was suddenly blocked by a figure towering over him. Given the sizes of Gnomes, it was normal for Grey’s figure to tower over him even though Grey was not the largest human.

Baern knew the towering figure blocking his path was Grey even without looking, he roared and unleashed his strongest attack. A darkness cloud covered both Grey and Baern, blocking them from the view of others.

"Idiot" Kora could barely believe Baern used his domain to hide both his and Grey’s aura.

She was familiar with Baern and knew that for him to use his strongest attack, he had to make use of his darkness domain as well. The problem with this, however, is that it not only hides his aura from those outside, it also hides the aura of anyone who was inside from them as well.

Now that Grey was inside his domain, it was impossible for Kora or the others to pinpoint Grey’s location inside the domain.

Inside Baern’s domain.

’Oh, this is convenient.’ Grey stopped when he suddenly lost sight of Baern. He could not track the latter either which was surprising to him.

He stopped his attack and looked around, trying to sense where Baern was located. To his shock, he could not sense anything within the region of the domain, nor could he sense anything outside the region of the domain.

He didn’t panic, opening his palm, a five colored orb slowly started to form in it. An attack on the scale of his five colored orb was strong enough to forcibly break apart this domain.

Baern could sense Grey’s location and what he was up to inside the domain. He summoned his puppet, only to see that it had lost an arm, gritting his teeth, he sent the puppet to attack Grey.

Inside the darkness, as Grey tried to make the five colored fusion orb, he suddenly froze and then turned to his right and sent out a fist covered in lightning.

Boom!

The lightning fist made contact with something, and when Grey tried to get a good look of it, his vision was once again made useless by the domain. The explosion from the attack was instantly swallowed by the darkness domain, making the region around Grey fully dark. It had only been a few seconds since he was trapped in this domain, and he could already tell how troublesome it was to deal with.

Grey’s five colored fusion orb extinguished after he was forced to take the puppet’s attack. Knowing it would be impossible for him to make use of his fusion orb here, he used his earth domain to improve the strength of his dimensional force field before utilizing it. There was no way for him to know where the puppet would appear next, but with his dimensional force field, he could at least not only find it immediately it appears, but he could also slow it down enough to give him the opportunity to locate Baern.

Baern was relieved when he saw the scary five colored orb forming on Grey’s hand, extinguished. He could sense the power it contained and he knew for a fact that it was not something he could deal with. Calming his mind, he tried to use his puppet to harass Grey before the others would arrive.

The second the puppet tried to move closer to Grey, he felt its movement slow down by a considerable margin. As he tried to investigate what happened, he noticed Grey staring straight at him even in the pitch darkness.

’How?’

He could not comprehend how Grey was able to locate him in this place. It had to be said that even Peak Sovereigns would not be able to locate him inside his domain, they could destroy it, but it was virtually impossible for them to locate him. However, he could clearly see Grey not only smiling at him in a creepy manner, Grey even took the opportunity to wave at him.

’It’s impossible, he’s only trying to play games with me.’

Confident that his domain could not be seen through, he accepted that Grey was only playing games with him and could not find him. With this thought in mind, he followed up with his attack.

On Grey’s end, after waving at Baern, he muttered, "Idiot."
