Chapter 2649: Chapter 2649: Being Eat By That Creature
Then, his face twisted into a sinister smirk. "You should be worried about yourself. My dear, go and eat her!"
As if responding to his command, the creature moved. It took a single, heavy step forward, making the floor beneath it creak ominously. Then, in a blur of shadow, it vanished.
Sang Yuling screamed.
Master Chunwei expected Yu Qi to be finished, assuming she was trapped by the dark red aura. However, he was wrong. When his gaze shifted back to her, a massive creature had manifested in front of Yu Qi, effectively blocking the attack.
A colossal wolf stood before Yu Qi. Its body was vast and imposing, its form outlined by a faint, ethereal glow that shimmered like moonlight reflected upon still water. Its fur flowed like living silver, each strand carrying a soft luminescence, as though woven from starlight itself. Ancient, barely visible markings flickered beneath its coat, symbols that seemed to shift and breathe, radiating an aura that felt both sacred and untouchable.
The suffocating darkness that had filled the room recoiled violently, retreating as though it had encountered its natural predator. Even the creature summoned by Master Chunwei hesitated for the briefest moment, its twisted form stiffening under the overwhelming pressure.
Master Chunwei’s breath hitched. Before he could even react, the wolf moved. It did not lunge wildly nor rush forward in haste. Its movement was smooth, inevitable, like a force of nature that could not be resisted. In the next instant, its massive jaws had already clamped down onto the summoned creature.
There was no struggle. No resistance. Only absolute dominance.
Master Chunwei watched in horror as a gigantic wolf clamped its powerful jaws onto his creature. With a violent toss of its head, the wolf hurled the entity across the room. The creature slammed into the wall with a sickening thud, the impact sending a shockwave through the entire house, rattling the structural beams and shattering a nearby glass panel into countless sharp shards.
The creature emitted a sound. A low, guttural hiss that echoed unnaturally, reverberating from every corner of the room. But this time, there was something else within that sound. It was fear.
Master Chunwei looked utterly horrified.
He stood frozen, his face drained of all color, his earlier arrogance shattered completely.
"You... You..."
His voice trembled, breaking apart as his eyes darted frantically between Yu Qi and the colossal wolf that stood before her like an ancient guardian, its mere presence exuding an authority that did not belong to this world.
He could not understand it. He could not comprehend it. But one thing was certain. The creature he had so proudly summoned was no longer the most terrifying thing in the room.
Yu Qi looked at the creature.
"Go back where you come from." Yu Qi said calmly.
The creature stepped back.
"No! I command you!" Master Chunwei shouted, still trying to assert control over the creature.
The creature twitched violently. Its head snapped toward him, and it seemed to glare at him with something far more sentient than before.
"See... You cannot command the creature." Yu Qi reminded Master Chunwei, her voice steady and almost indifferent.
Master Chunwei’s breathing grew uneven. That thin thread of confidence he had been desperately holding onto began to crack, splintering under the weight of reality.
"That’s impossible... The contract is binding..." Master Chunwei muttered in disbelief.
The creature moved again, but this time, it was not toward Yu Qi. Instead, it turned fully toward Master Chunwei. Slowly, it took a step closer to him.
Its movements were no longer sluggish or uncertain. They were deliberate, calculated. It stared at Chunwei with a completely different kind of gaze now, one that carried a terrifying awareness.
"You called it here, but you never had the power to control it." Yu Qi said with a faint sigh.
Master Chunwei staggered backwards, his composure finally shattering completely.
Then, without warning, it lunged forward at Master Chunwei. He screamed, but the sound was abruptly cut off.
The creature opened its massive mouth and swallowed Master Chunwei whole. There was no time for him to resist, no chance to react. He was simply gone.
Yu Qi had not expected the creature to turn on Master Chunwei and devour him so suddenly.
As for Sang Yuling, the moment she witnessed the creature swallow Master Chunwei like that, sheer terror consumed her. Her legs gave out beneath her, and she lost control of her bladder.
Yu Qi stood unmoving. Her eyes remained fixed on the creature, which was now shrouded in writhing shadows that seemed to pulse with a life of their own.
"That’s enough." Yu Qi stated coldly.
She raised her hand and made a small, commanding motion, as if summoning something unseen. The white aura that had entered the ritual room earlier suddenly surged out from within the creature’s body.
The white aura began to coil tightly around the creature, binding its limbs and constricting its form as it writhed and hissed in violent resistance. The shadows lashed out wildly, striking against the bindings, but they could not break through.
Yu Qi stepped forward, unhurried and composed. The creature thrashed even more violently as she approached, its form distorting and stretching grotesquely as it struggled to escape. However, it was utterly powerless.
Aoi remained close to Yu Qi, his eyes locked onto the creature. He stood guard beside her like a silent sentinel, ready to leap forward at the slightest sign of danger.
Yu Qi stopped just a few feet away from the creature. Her gaze was cold and unwavering.
"You don’t belong here." Yu Qi stated.
Yu Qi looked at the creature again before she clenched her hand.
