Chapter 592: Arriving In Coralia
After nearly two hours, Rael arrived at the top of the mountain range, and as expected, he was freezing his balls off.
Just whose smart idea was it to plant a big ass mountain here? For the sake of this being a ‘dream,’ couldn’t they do a little bit of terraforming? Rael shivered and looked over the edge.
For a moment, he halted, admiring the view.
Cold as shit it may be, the view from all the way up here was amazing.
He could see the city he had just come from in the distance. It seemed so small, and yet, he knew very well just how big it was.
Furthermore, he could also see a couple more cities surrounding it, large forests, some mountains, and of course, when he turned the other way, he spotted a seemingly never-ending ocean, as well as a city in the center of it.
He was genuinely surprised by how large the city was. Even from this distance, he was sure Coralia was twice the size of the city he had come from.
Well I’ll be damned. And only the five of us are supposed to protect it all? Really now?
It felt like a scam, and he was sure he was way in over his head, but even so…
He glanced down the massive mountain range, then pulled out a piece of bark he had ripped off a tree earlier.
At first, he thought that maybe sliding down as though this was some water park might not be a bad idea. However he quickly realized that he might accidentally impale himself on something.
So I just tied together a few tree barks and made a makeshift sled… It could be worse, probably.
He plopped the sled down onto the snow, then stood atop it. Right as he felt like he was about to slip, he sat down and grabbed the bark tightly.
Yep. I’m not using it like a skate.
And with those final thoughts, Rael gently pushed himself forward with his legs, and finally, he tipped over the mountain range.
The cold wind sharply hit his entire body, but after tucking himself in, Rael simply bore through the pain and cold while also trying his best to hold onto the makeshift sled.
He hit rocks, boulders, and more, but he hadn’t fallen off once. Albeit, his body did get bruised a little, and he was sure he had been stabbed by something.
But as he looked over the edge of the sled, he realized that he wasn’t even halfway down yet, which only further affirmed to him that he might actually not make it out alive here.
“S-Shitty dream…”

(1 hour later…)
A sled arrived at the bottom of the mountain range, and yet, there was no one on top of it.
A minute passed, then two, and finally, a man came tumbling down the mountain, hitting rock after rock and impaling himself on pretty much everything.
But eventually, he slid down and reached the sled as well, only now realizing he should’ve probably just taken the longer path.
“Ugh…” Rael groaned, dragging himself onto the sled, then weakly pushing himself forward.
That’s… I’ll never do that again.
Never.
While he continued sliding along what was left of the snow, he took the time to manually take out every single stick, stone, and icicle that had been embedded in his body.
After another half hour, he had gotten everything out, and while he was still bleeding, he didn’t feel like he was going to die.
Whoever this Aurelius guy was, his physique was overpowered when it came to regeneration. Even Rael at level 150 would’ve probably just gotten one shot by a single boulder.
But not this guy. He was healing up nicely, albeit the pain was still a little tough to get through.
Glancing ahead, Rael spotted grass, as well as a cobblestone pathway leading directly toward Coralia. Of course, he could even see Coralia through the few trees that obscured his vision.
It was just that big.
The moon was still high in the sky, and he knew that morning was at least a few hours away, so, as much as he didn’t want to do it and tried his best to hold back, he finally caved in and decided to get some shut-eye.

Rael opened his eyes, his injuries fully healed. The sun was now high in the sky, and from the looks of things, he had been sleeping for a little longer than he should have.
Well… There goes my smartass idea of taking the shortcut, Rael thought with a sigh. I really should stop treating these weak bodies as though they were my own. If I had fallen down headfirst onto a shard of ice, I wouldn’t even flinch.
But aside from gassing himself up, Rael rose to his feet, and after giving his trusty sled a final send-off, he followed the cobblestone pathway.
Now that he was like this, he kind of realized he had forgotten to bring a weapon. Though in his defense, Rael didn’t really see a weapon inside Aurelius’s house.
He did also have a second room, which I didn’t check, but that’s probably his roommate’s room… maybe?
If it was some sort of weapon room… then that wouldn’t be very peachy.
Nonetheless, after another half hour of walking, he arrived by the sandy shoreline. There was a shabby stone bridge leading up to Coralia, and while some parts of the bridge were cracked, he could still freely make his way into Coralia.
Though, with how the water had receded, he really hoped that this was some kind of monster invasion premonition and not a massive tsunami.
Because if that was the case…
A shiver ran down his spine as he sped up his pace. He skipped across the broken bits of the bridge, and after some time, he arrived at the giant entrance.
Hundreds of soldiers manned the walls, and at least ten were stationed at the front, their weapons aimed at him.
As the system had said, these people weren’t humans. They were much taller, and he could also see gills on their necks. Orıginal content can be found at n͟o͟v͟e͟l͟f͟i͟r͟e͟.net
