Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 853 853: Getting The Sword

After they were finished with their food, they just parted ways. Of course, Rael decided not to go yet, and instead, he watched as Renoir and Nyx went ahead one by one.

As for him, he finished his drink and walked toward Reyna’s place. He wanted to get the sword before he left, and by now, it should be finished.

But…

I realized that Zafira, Lilith and Gaia aren’t the only ones that are feeling the passage of time.

Rael let out a sigh and felt like banging his head into a wall.

I fucking forgot Uriel.

Time and time again, Rael just couldn’t help but be a completely shit father. He didn’t even say goodbye. Not to mention Uriel, there was also Altros, Melissa, and so many other people that he could’ve said goodbye to before leaving.

Jeez…

Just what exactly was he thinking?

He continued blaming himself and entered Reyna’s workshop. Hearing the loud sounds coming from the backroom, Rael decided to just stand by and wait for a brief moment. All the while, he continued hearing hammering, sizzling, and lastly, some form of welding that he had never even heard of before.

In the end, though, when all the sounds stopped, Reyna stepped out of her workshop and glanced at him.

“Did you wait here all this time?”

Rael shook his head.

“I was out. On another note though, the sword looks nice.”

Of course, he was referring to the zweihander in her grasp. It was pitch black in color, except the tip of its edge was completely white, radiating powerful mana in the process.

Obviously, Rael knew that she had just blessed him with an overpowered item. But like all things in life, nothing was ever free.

“What do you have in mind for the price?” Rael asked.

Reyna thought about it for a moment, then said:

“How about a never-ending fire? A fire that can’t be put out, rather. I want it to be portable too, so while I’m out in the open, I can just take it out and smelt whatever I want.”

He raised a brow at her words. Obviously, something like this would definitely be doable outside of the tower, since there was no limit to the amount of bullshit some people had created.

But here…? Rael was a bit not sure if such an item would even exist. Though for her sake, he decided to check it out. To his surprise, there actually was a similar item.

The Heavenly Furnace.

An Epic-ranked item that had a flame built inside of it. One could regulate the temperature from the outside, and considering the flame was pure mana, all that Reyna would need to do was infuse a little bit of her mana into it.

In short, it was a really convenient item, and considering that the furnace could change sizes, it could also be portable.

So with that in mind, Rael decided to go ahead and purchase it. In the next instant, a golden furnace appeared in front of him. It was only the size of a small rock at first, but once he infused some mana into it, it expanded to the size of a regular furnace.

As for the inside of the furnace, there was a small little bulb. When he focused on that bulb, a small fire immediately formed. Funnily enough, he could change the color of the fire too, so he went with a simple white, then increased its intensity.

After seeing that it worked as intended, Rael showed it to Reyna, whose eyes lit up at the furnace. She began playing around with it, and as for Rael…

—Red Steel Zweihander (Mythic+)

Durability: Infinite

Damage: 5,295~65,299

+5% Law Damage increase

Although 5% might not seem like a big increase, it was a metric shit ton at his current level. Not only that, the damage of the weapon itself was huge.

He was sure that he could one tap pretty much every monster that came his way. But if that was the case, how exactly was Reyna struggling to go past floor 101?

No one could convince him that there was a monster up there that could avoid getting bonked by such a weapon. If a being like that existed, then… well, it was just shit tower balancing.

“All good?” Rael asked.

Reyna nodded.

“All’s very good. Do make sure to come by if you’re staying here.”

“Sadly no. I’m going to go now, as my friends and I plan to meet up on the 100th floor,” he said.

A slightly regretful look appeared on her face.

“I see… Well, if you’re going, then I won’t stop you. However, do make sure that you climb with moderation, and don’t stand out too much as there will be several factions targeting you.”

She then added:

“Factions like that will wait until you’re ready to go to the next floor, and in the short window, they’ll follow you inside.”

Rael raised a brow at her words.

“Short window? Could you elaborate?”

She nodded.

“Whenever someone enters a floor, an instance is created for a whole minute. If someone else enters the same floor within that minute, they’ll be tossed into the same floor as the first person who entered. Of course, the instance timer begins from the moment the first person enters, and another person entering doesn’t reset it.”

Rael hummed, then nodded. He understood it very well, as it resembled the systems that were present in games.

And of course, what she meant by all of this was the fact that someone might try to bonk him while he was entering a floor if he stood out too much. In short, he should be careful.

But he didn’t really need to be careful, especially since the way he entered floors was different from most others. If anything, he could use this information to snipe others and then get rid of them.

Not that he’d have a grudge against them, honestly.

Either way…

“I’ll get going then. See you around, Reyna.”
