My Dragon King System

Chapter 143: The War: The Overwhelming Difference

Jarius was unsure of what to do next and said nothing back in reply. His Son was operating on a much higher level than he could have possibly ever imagined.

Aiden then returned his attention back to the Captains who were slowly recovering from the punches they had received.

"Alright," he said with a smug grin, settling into his stance with his red eyes moving quickly from side to side. "This has gone on long enough, so I'll give you one more chance to show your best."

Part of him wanted to see more of what the other Captains could do, especially since he'd given them no real chance to display their spells.

Mumbleton then spoke to the Captains telepathically, through the mind link spell that connected their minds together.

"We have no other choice. He's too strong, we are using that spell"

They all agreed in their thoughts it was the only option left. Without hesitation, they proceeded into action.

Each Captain raised their hands towards Aiden. Azam who bled from his head, thrusted his left hand forward, given that his right wrist was broken.

Almost simultaneously a white magic circle formed underneath Aiden.

Aiden noticed the magic circle that suddenly manifested below him. Unwilling to have anything catch him by surprise again, he activated his Zero Effect Skill and let it stay active.

From the palms of the eight Captains and the Grand Magus, glowing white ethereal chains burst forth. They were translucent, radiating a white aura as they shot toward Aiden.

Each chain passed through his body, anchoring itself at the key points of his mana pathway system.

Two points at Aiden's knee. One Point at his heart. Two points at his arms and one more on his head.

The last three chains, passed through and anchored at his guts. It wasn't one of the main points but still a vital channel in the flow of mana

Mumbleton raised his voice. "Your mana shall yield to stillness and be sealed!"

Golden energy surged through the chains, spreading into each point of contact. When the casters saw their spell take hold, they released it and staggered back, trying to catch their breath from the toll it had taken on their mana.

This Spell was called The Gentling Spell!. A god level supplementary technique that required atleast six persons to cast, with extremely high and immense magic power.

As its name implied, the Gentling Spell's effect was to seal away a target's mana completely.

It served as a countermeasure against the overwhelming power of a Grand Magus or anyone of similar strength. The spell demanded multiple casters because no single mage could sustain its enormous mana cost.

That was also why Mumbleton and the Captains had refrained from using it until now. They couldn't risk draining their reserves against Aiden while Oberon and his army still awaited them.

But with the sheer power Aiden possessed, they decided to take their chances.

Aiden just stood there, silent, with his head bowed

The Grand Magus, still struggling to catch his breath, said, "Perhaps you could have avoided the spell, but you stood there, so certain we couldn't defeat you. That confidence was your undoing!"

Aiden slowly raised his head, that same devilish grin returning to his face. "One day, maybe. But that day is not today."

In an instant, his magic power surged, so intense that even Oberon and his army felt it, despite being confined to a separate space.

The Captains could not believe their eyes, Ursula fell on the ground as her legs could not carry her anymore.

"Impossible…" Mumbleton whispered, in utter disbelief.

Fear gripped the Captains' hearts as they faced the unimaginable power before them.

They had just realised that they were never going to win that battle. Asides the fact that for some strange reason, their mana sealing had failed to work, Aiden's magic power was so vast that it was evident he had only just be toying with them the whole time.

"D-Did he become a god?" whispered Captain Melisende of the Red Orcas, her voice trembling.

But the truth was, it wasn't that their spell didn't work. It's just the moment those chains made contact with Aiden. The effect behind the sealing magic was being erased.

"I can't help but say, that you all have just presented me with the perfect way to end this little show" Aiden said, then re-enacted the spell he had just copied.

[Gentling]

To their shock, white magic circles appeared beneath all nine of them. And From Aiden's outstretched left hand, several white chains burst forth.

Each Captain, and even the Grand Magus—was struck by six chains that drove into their mana points.

A few tried to resist, attempting to cast spells, but Aiden's overwhelming aura stopped them cold.

[Dragon's Fear]

Their bodies were drained, and their spirits broken.

Faced with mana exhaustion, hopelessness, and the suffocating weight of Aiden's fear aura, they surrendered completely.

Jarius immediately dropped from the skies, "You've won Aiden, Please stop. I beg you, please stop."

But it was too late. Aiden had gone past compassion. "Wait your turn!" He waved his right hand and a telekinetic force hurled Jarius away from him.

Golden energy surged through the chains and into the Captains' mana points. In seconds, their mana pathways were sealed.

Aiden had successfully blocked their mana pathway system.

Their bodies weakened under the strain; a few collapsed and lost consciousness.

Aiden then said, with some sort of satisfaction. "Now, every single one of you would know what it feels like to have No mana potential"

It was his perfect revenge against those who had once rejected him.

Oberon watching from the other part of the sealed off field had this frustrated look on his face. His fist was clenched and he tried to steady his quivering hands.

He had just watched Aiden best eight captains and a Grand Magus.

Every other person watched in amazement of Aiden's powers. The Captains somewhat feared for their lives, Cassian had this frustrated look on his face the most.

People like Talen and Ambrose immediately realised that Aiden was always on a different level than they were. It was never even close.

"He's just too powerful" Kayden muttered to himself. Deep down he always knew that Aiden had a tremendous gap over him, even when he didn't want to admit it, but after seeing this, denial was impossible
