The expressions of Corey, Pamela, Jeremy, Queen Nerith, and every other person changed drastically when they saw the number of enemies pouring out from the gigantic portal in the sky.
These enemies were not only humans, but vampires, werewolves, undeads, and... titans.
Bang!
As the titans fell to the ground, the ground cracked, and a huge dust storm engulfed the two 'armies' as a result.
Klaus, Pierro, Pope Arzhel, and the remaining members of the army were protected by the barrier of the Immortal Artifact that was a mirror, and Queen Nerith waved her hand to protect Corey, her children, and the others from the dust storm.
The six titans who nearly reached the very skies themselves, and their armors and weapons crackling with both lightning and fire, would have been the center of attention for everybody including their allies.
But they were not because they were just Tier 6s.
The appearance of two Tier 7 immortals changed everything, and they immediately became the center of everybody's attention.
Corey's expression became grave when he saw the two Tier 7s.
Although they were just two Immortals, their auras were stronger than that of Syrelle and Orynthia combined.
Their auras were as deep as that of the Queen, and Corey knew that the situation had just taken a turn for the worse.
'Even if Syrelle and Orynthia team up against one of the Tier 7s, they'd lose without a doubt. And with the absence of the queen's connection with the world tree, she cannot battle the two of them at the same time. She'd lose.'
'This is bad. Very bad.'
Corey shifted his attention to Queen Nerith, and he saw that she also had a solemn expression.
"We need to restore your connection back to the world tree."
Queen Nerith glanced at him. "I'll create a path for you to escape while I hold them back."
Corey raised a brow in surprise and also relief. "You can create a path outside?"
Queen Nerith nodded her head. "I can. Although this shell world is powerful, creating a hole in it is something I can do. However, once I create a hole in it, it would close itself very quickly and they'll definitely not allow me to do such a thing again."
"You'll have a very short window of opportunity to escape, and you'll have to take it.'
Corey furrowed his brows. "Where's the world tree? And is there anything I should know about the world tree before something goes terribly wrong?"
Queen Nerith shook her head. "Don't worry about that. Syrelle is going with you."
Corey's eyes widened in disbelief and shock. "Why? She's an Immortal, and taking her away from here is going to put the others at risk."
"I'll handle it." Queen Nerith shook her head, and Corey immediately frowned.
"Didn't I tell you that this is not the time to be proud? If I-"
"You don't have to lecture me once again. I understand that you're unique, but don't ever forget that you're a mortal and I'm an Immortal. I don't tolerate disrespect."
Corey's expression did not change in the slightest despite hearing the words of warning from Queen Nerith.
"Have you ever wondered why their numbers are over a thousand when we're less than a dozen?"
Corey frowned slightly. "At first I thought it was to make up for the difference in power between you, your daughters, and them. But now?... I have no idea. It's definitely overkill."
"The reason is because of me. My nephew knows that every leader of the Silver Elves always has their personal army with them, and although this army has no consciousness, they cannot be underestimated."
"An army?" Corey frowned slightly, and then he shifted his gaze to the titans that were staring down at them like gods looking down at humans.
"Are you sure this your personal army can fend them off. Especially those titans? They're not weak in the slightest. And don't forget that they have Immortal Weapons and Artifacts too."
Corey heard Queen Nerith scoff, and then she spoke with a tinge of pride in her tone.
"Have you forgotten that we're one of the best in artifact creation in the entire universe. As for those Titans, they'll be dealt with."
"Alright." Corey nodded. "Speak to your daughter about the plan."
"She already knows."
"Good."
Only three seconds passed during their conversation, and Corey was about to approach Syrelle, but Pamela stopped him and looked at him in the eye.
"I'm going with you."
Corey immediately frowned. "No."
"It was not a request."
Corey's frown deepened. "If you leave, what about Jeremy and his comrades? Do you think they can survive against these many Mystic Beings? Only you can help them to survive. With you involved in the battle, their chances of survival increases drastically."
Pamela's scoff resounded in his head. "Yeah. I know that, but that also means that my chances of dying is also very high. Once they see that I'm killing so many of their Tier 6s, do you they're going to take it lightly? They're going to focus on me and do everything in their power to either capture or kill me... Most likely kill me."
Corey looked at Pamela with a slightly confused and suspicious gaze. "Are you following me because you're afraid?"
Pamela scoffed once again. "Of course not. First of all, I have no obligation to fight for the silver elves or Jeremy and his friends. They've done nothing for me, and I'll definitely not risk my life because of them."
"... Also, the runes advised me to follow you."
Corey narrowed his eyes, and although he wanted to say so many things, he did not have the time.
"Whatever." He said out loud, and then he approached Syrelle. Pamela followed him.
In the eyes of everybody, Pamela decided to stop Corey from moving, and after staring at him for just two seconds, she gave way and began following him.
Some guessed that they had communicated with one another with their minds, but many were clueless.
As Corey stood beside Syrelle with Pamela by his side, Syrelle looked at mother and nodded.
"We're ready, mother."
