"WHAT THE FUCK?! HOW?! HOWWWW?!"
"FUCK OFF BITCH!!!!"
As the Clown's roar of disbelief, frustration, and anger resounded across the realm, the ground beneath his teeth cracked and sunk as he used everything Rorik had to shatter the lightning chains around him.
Splurt!
Blood splurted out of different parts of Rorik's body as the Clown pushed his body way beyond its limits.
The bones in his legs and arms became twisted, and even spine shattered when the Clown tried to take a step forward.
Rorik's body was unnaturally bent backward because of his shattered spine, and even his knees were bent backward.
He would have fallen if not for the lightning chains that bound him.
Shatter!
Shatter!
Shatter!
To Pamela's surprise, three of her lightning chains shattered as the Clown took a step forward.
"Just stay down for fuck's sake." Pamela clicked her tongue in annoyance, and then she snapped her fingers.
Six more chains shot out of the celestial formation behind her and pierced Rorik's body.
"Damn it, woman! Do you want to die so badly?!"
The Clown looked at Pamela with immense killing intent, and Pamela gave him a light smile.
Normally, she would have made a snarky remark, but she was far too weak to even do such.
In fact, if not for her sheer willpower, she would have fallen on her knees while gasping for air.
Controlling millions of runes that could affect both the body and soul was extremely strenuous, and doing it while she was not at her peak state made it even worse.
"You will die, Pamela. You will die. I promise you that." The Clown hissed with immense killing intent, and then he looked at Corey and Jeremy with a deep frown and with gritted teeth.
"How in the world was he able to save him? What did he do? He should be dead... Oh Corey... You really are an interesting fellow with a lot of interesting means." The Clown mumbled with a gaze of madness.
'I need the Book of Death. No other person must have it in their hands except for me.'
The Clown gritted his teeth as he tried to take another step, but an extremely cold hand held his shoulder.
"You know you're killing the rightful owner of the body you're using, right?"
Divine's cold voice resounded in the air, and the Clown shuddered, not only because of the coldness in Divine's tone but because of the immense chill that was radiating from Divine's hand holding his shoulder.
The Clown's feet were also frozen, preventing him from taking another step forward.
"Divine." The Clown said with a deep frown.
"Why don't you leave this man's body and face all of us on your own?" Divine said with a slight frown on his face as he approached Pamela with Rosa by his side.
"Do you really think I'd do that? Since you claim to know me so well, Divine... You should know what I'd do." Rorik raised his brows in mockery as he looked at Divine.
Divine's brows creased the more, but he didn't say anything.
He looked at Pamela. "You can cancel the formation if it's draining you and causing you pain."
Pamela looked at Divine and then she looked at the Clown.
"Are you sure? If he escapes, it's on you and I'm not going to fight him until I'm back to full health."
Divine smiled at her. "I've been dealing with the Clown for over three years now. I can proudly say that I know the Clown better than anybody... Besides, this is just a normal clone of his, not even a true clone so it's fine."
Pamela looked at Divine with slightly narrowed eyes, and then she shook her head and exhaled softly.
"Whatever. It's your problem if anything goes wrong."
Pamela snapped her fingers and the rotating celestial formation behind her shattered into pieces along with the thick lightning chains that bound him, and also the tiny lightning chains that bound a large percent of his internal system and soul.
The moment Pamela did this, the weight she felt on her body, soul, and spirit lightened immensely.
She wobbled slightly and almost fell, but Divine held her shoulder and gave her support.
"Careful. Although you're more talented than me, you've pushed yourself too far."
"I already know that." Pamela rolled her eyes as she calmly and slowly sat on the ground.
Divine smiled wryly, and then he shifted his gaze to the Clown who was now encased in a block of ice from the sole of his feet to the base of his neck.
"Why do you need the Book of Death so badly? What does it do? Why is it essential to your plans?" Divine asked the questions he always wanted to ask ever since he knew just how important the Book of Death was to the Clown.
"And you think I'd tell you especially? I'd rather tell the devil than tell you." Rorik scoffed with his eyes flashing with extreme coldness.
"I didn't expect you to tell me, but I just said I should try." Divine shook his head slightly, and then he pointed a finger at the Clown.
A golden flame flickered at the tip of his finger, and the Clown's expression changed slightly when he saw the golden flame.
However, just as Divine was about to release the golden flame, a voice spoke from behind him.
"Wait."
Divine raised his brows slightly, and then he looked at the back, seeing Jeremy approaching him with a complicated expression.
When Divine saw this, he sighed as he already had an idea as to what Jeremy was about to say.
Jeremy stood before Divine, and then he gave Rorik a complicated expression.
"Is there a way... he can be saved? He's my companion and we've fought many battles for years. I can't lose him."
Divine shook his head. "Only if the Clown himself decides to leave his body, then there's no way we can separate the Clown from Rorik."
"Even Rosa cannot help because the Clown is more talented than her when it comes to parasitism through blood. He not only parasitizes one's body, he also parasitizes one's soul, and that's more difficult to deal with."
"When I use my flames, the Clown won't die, but Rorik will... That's the sad part of it, and you're not the first person to go through this."
Jeremy clenched his fists tightly with a conflicted and extremely pained expression. Although he wanted to say something or stop Divine, he knew the bitter truth.
He could not save his friend.
"Damn it. Am I still so weak despite everything?"
Neither Corey, Pamela, Rosa or Divine said anything to comfort Jeremy since it was the truth.
Jeremy was weak to them, and even they themselves who were more talented than him knew that they were extremely weak in the grand scheme of things.
"Awwwn. How cute. Do you want to talk to your friend before he dies? Any last words for him? I mean I'm so magnanimous to the point that I can do that for you since I won't actually die but he- AHHHHHH! DAMN YOU, DIVINE!"
Without hesitation, Divine release an inferno of flames on the Clown, burning Rorik and the Clown to ash.
A few seconds later, a tiny tongue of golden flames hovered above Divine's hand, and in this flame was a tiny piece of the clone of the Clown.
Divine stored it, and then everywhere went silent.
