"We're here. Let's enter The Forge."
When Pamela heard these words, she looked around with a baffled expression.
To her right and left was nothing but air, and below her was the Black Sea with nothing on top of it.
'Am I missing something?... Or maybe it's in the sky?'
Pamela looked up, but she still didn't see anything.
'Maybe it's hidden in a deep layer of space or there's an illusion hiding it.'
This time around, she used her unique eyes to try and pierce through any illusion and also the layers of space, but she found nothing.
She looked at Corey with a frown. "Where's this Forge you've been talking about? I don't see anything."
Corey pointed at the Black Sea. "Deep in the Black Sea."
"Huh?" Pamela was stunned, but Corey didn't give her time to come out of her stunned state.
"Let's go." Corey turned Anna who was still tied with ropes on his shoulder.
He held her tightly, and then he fell into the Black Sea like a rocket.
Pamela was taken aback when she saw this, and after some seconds of serious internal thoughts, she also dived into the Black Sea.
SPLASH!
The Black Sea was not like normal seas for several reasons, and one of them was that it was an extremely viscous body of water.
It was like one was swimming through tar and not tar at the same time.
However, this uniqueness of the Black Sea was nothing but a minor inconvenience to both Corey and Pamela.
As Pamela manipulated the runes to propel to the depths of the Black Sea, she was constantly watching her surroundings because the runes were constantly telling her that the Black Sea was not safe in the slightest.
She could also remember the colossal abomination the Outsiders and several others fought after escaping the Underworld, so she knew that the Black Sea was truly not safe.
Time went by, and after ten minutes, Pamela was beginning to get worried because they had not even reached the bottom of the Black Sea.
Although they were not moving at an extremely fast speed, they were not slow in the slightest.
If not for the fact that she was right behind Corey, she would have chosen to go back to the surface since her instincts were warming her about the increasing danger at the depths of the Black Sea.
Five minutes later, she saw a flicker of light a few meters below her.
She narrowed her eyes and increased the output of mana into her eyes. The golden light in her Infinity marked eyes brightened, and then she was able to see what was the source of the flicker.
'A barrier? No... An entrance to another realm?'
Pamela had a wary but intrigued gaze as she stared at the cyan haze that was in the distance.
She was about to communicate with Corey using runes, but Corey entered the haze, and she was slightly surprised.
She paused for a second before she also followed suit and entered the haze.
A bright light suddenly entered her eyes and she was not prepared for it because of the immense darkness of the Black Sea.
Fortunately for her, her instincts did not warn her of an incoming danger.
She slowly opened her eyes, and she froze due to what she saw.
"Welcome to the Forge." Corey's voice drifted into her eyes, but she couldn't reply because she was enraptured by what she was seeing.
In front of her was a colossal humanoid statue that was thrice the size of the world tree. This statue was on one knee, and it was carrying a building.
A temple to be exact.
Dozens of statues ringed the perimeter, and some of these statues were humanoid and some were beasts.
Some of these humanoid statues had wings, and the beasts were unlike anything Pamela had ever seen.
Although all of these were just statues, the aura they exuded was beyond anything Pamela had ever experienced.
It was beyond the Tier 7 Clown they had fought, and it was beyond any being she had ever encountered.
If not for the fact that the auras they exuded was not targeted at her, she was certain that she would be on her knees by now.
The dozens of statues were not the worst.
No.
The absolute worst was the kneeling colossal statue.
Its aura was extremely contained, but Pamela could sense it, and it terrified her.
The auras of the dozens of smaller statues combined together could not hold a candle to the aura of the kneeling colossal humanoid statue.
It was like she was staring at a god.
"Where are we?"
She asked after barely acclimatizing to the auras of the statues.
Corey observed her for a few seconds, and then he nodded in appreciation.
Her Willpower was powerful enough to quickly get used to the auras of these statues that were by far the strongest beings she had ever encountered.
Corey shifted his gaze to Anna who was no longer tied. He removed the ropes and was also using his aura to subtly shield Anna from about 30% of the auras of the statues.
He could completely shield her from it so that she wouldn't feel a thing, but she would not grow if he did something like that.
"That temple you see there is The Forge." Corey finally replied to Pamela's question, and then he gestured to their surroundings.
"We're in the divine kingdom of a god. But as you can see, he or she or it has been dead for a long time now."
Pamela and Anna's eyes widened in disbelief, but Corey was not done.
"Those puppets you see are the last of the dead god's creations. I don't know what their levels since they are way beyond me, but I was able to repair them to a certain degree."
The moment Anna and Pamela heard the word -Repair- from Corey, their heads snapped toward him with extremely wide and fearful eyes.
"You repaired what?! Are you insane, brother?!"
