Corey hovered in the air with Primus in his base form in his right hand, and the wings of his armor flapping slowly in the air.
His gaze was calm and focused despite the overbearing pressure of the Tribulation.
"Come."
The moment Corey said these words, the Tribulation thundered loudly, and flashes of lightning could be seen in the skies.
Corey was expecting a golden lightning bolt to strike him, but even after waiting for a full minute, nothing happened.
He frowned in confusion, and he wondered what was going on.
He could sense that the Tribulation was extremely furious at him and wanted to wipe him out of existence, but he had no idea why it was not attacking.
Unfortunately, he could not allow Primus to try and devour the Tribulation for three reasons.
The first was his instincts.
Whenever he had the thought of telling Primus to devour the Tribulation, he instantly felt like something was off.
And the longer the Tribulation remained in the sky without striking him, the longer it felt like it was baiting him into devouring the Tribulation.
It was extremely odd.
The second reason was because of the Curse of Hunger Primus had.
Primus got this curse because he devoured the Will of the Heavens, and it was a troublesome curse.
Corey had a feeling that if he devoured another Tribulation so soon, the curse would get worse or evolve into something else entirely.
And the third and final reason was because if Primus devoured the Tribulation, he would be forced to advance to the next grade regardless of his intentions.
And if Primus advanced to the next grade, the Tribulation he would have to face would be a thousand times more terrifying than this Tribulation.
He, Primus, and Prima would die... along with countless other people on New Earth... If not everybody.
As Corey pondered more on the behaviour of the Tribulation, he had this gut feeling that it wanted Primus to devour it so that a more powerful Tribulation where he had no chance of survival would kill him.
This realization caused a deep chill to spread across Corey's body.
If he was right, it was extremely terrifying that a Tribulation could have such thoughts. It meant that the Tribulation was as smart as a human... or maybe even smarter than some humans.
"Now, what do I do?" Corey muttered softly as he stared at the Tribulation.
He could not devour the Tribulation, and he could also not destroy the Tribulation.
He did not possess that kind of Power.
Primus could, but he needed his owner to be able to handle such power and release it through him.
At the end of the day, Corey was what was limiting Primus.
Shrrsshh
With a thought, Prima stirred, and her smoky glass appearance flowed upward from his neck and covered his face like a second skin.
His glass covered eyes flashed with a white light, and Corey swung Primus at the sky.
From a glass rod that was the size of his arm, Primus extended and became twice his size.
A golden bolt of lightning fell in the direction of Primus, and Primus deflected it to the side, causing a portion of the Black Sea to evaporate into mist.
"You've finally decided to-"
Corey's words were stuck in his throat, and in his helmet, his eyes were as wide as saucers.
In the sky above, a sea of golden lightning appeared just like the previous Tribulation.
But this time around, what descended from the Tribulation Clouds was not a lightning bolt, a lightning spear, or a lightning sword.
No.
What descended was a being made out of lightning.
A being made out of golden lightning with a golden lightning bolt in his right hand. The being had no face and it had the stature of an average man.
Millions, billions, trillions... No... Countless numbers of golden lightning bolts formed this humanoid golden lightning being.
It slowly descended from the sky, and the aura... The aura it emitted caused the waters to churn and the world to emit a loud groan that could be heard by all.
The gods had expressions that were both solemn and mixed with fear, and some like the Water Goddess further distanced themselves from the Tribulation.
She took all her followers and instantly teleported far away from the Black Sea.
Other gods who felt like they were too close to the Tribulation also did the same.
"Kid. What have you done? What have you created? How could you have summoned that thing?"
"How could a mortal have summoned the Will of Heaven Made Flesh?"
"How could a mortal have summoned the Condensed Will of Heaven?"
"How could a mortal have summoned the Auric Arbiter?"
"How could a mortal have summoned the... Heavenly Executor?"
In a location that was on the opposite pole of the Black Sea, the Martial God had a deep frown that was laced with worry, confusion, and fear.
His arms were folded, but his hands were tightly clenching his biceps.
"What are you, kid?"
Meanwhile, Corey was frozen on the spot as the being made out of lightning slowly descended on New Earth.
No.
As the Heavenly Executor slowly descended on New Earth.
The pressure was unlike anything Corey had ever faced.
It was stronger than the Immortals he had baffled. It was stronger than the abominations he battled in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones.
It was like he was facing a god... A true god.
He wanted to move, but he could not. He was frozen by fear and the sheer pressure the Heavenly Executor radiated.
In fact, if not for Prima, he would have fallen to his knees.
Although he was frozen by fear and the pressure of the Heavenly Executor, his Stars of Consciousness were still fully functional.
They were trying everything to make his body move, but they couldn't.
The difference in power was just too much.
'Move! Move! Move! Move!'
