Idol Revive: If I Don't Debut, I'll Disappear

Chapter 306: Did We Rescue Him Too Early?

Everyone turned toward the pool, from which the voice had come.

"The pool is speaking!" Xi Huan said.

"Yeah, we can see that," Adrian said.

Bubbles also started forming in the pool as its level rose.

Along with a blobbing sound, the voice continued speaking. "Haru missing. Emotional Event incomplete. Error. Error."

Gradually, the water in the pool had reached the edge, overflowing. It had flowed up to the place where Yeo Haru was sitting.

The moment it touched Yeo Haru's feet, its voice seemed to be overjoyed. "Haru found."

Yeo Haru's face paled. He jumped out of its way.

"Beep! What the hell is this?!"

Once again, the water cried out as though it had lost something. "Haru missing. Emotional Event incomplete. Error. Error."

Everyone stared at it, dumbfounded.

"Emotional event incomplete?" Adrian frowned. "Did we rescue him too early?"

"....." Rayen's head began to throb in pain.

Yeo Haru's back turned cold when it continued crawling all the way on the floor, trying to find him again.

"This seems bad. Should we put Haruru back?" Xi Huan asked, about to pounce on Yeo Haru.

"We aren't putting him back!" Rayen said to stop Xi Huan's thoughts.

They rescued him too early, but wouldn't it be too cruel to shove Yeo Haru back in the water again?

"Beep beep." Yeo Haru cursed, still trying to evade the water.

"Then, what should we do?"

Just as the entire group was about to descend into panic, the sound of paper slapping a hard surface came from the glass door behind them.

A voice followed right after. "I think someone is inside!"

The group inside the pool area turned to stare at the silhouette behind the glass door. Suddenly, Adrian seemed to think of an idea.

"Quick. Grab it!"

Without wasting even a second, Xi Huan dashed toward the door, opened it, and grabbed the 'person' who was slapping the door. As expected, it was a paper figure.

"Eh? Who are you?!"

With its paper nature, it couldn't find its strength to fight Xi Huan. It could only flap its body in her arms once she grabbed it.

In the blink of an eye, it was already in Adrian's hand. The rest of the members watched as the Playwright's Quill suddenly appeared on Adrian's hand.

"I'm sorry," Adrian muttered.

He scribbled on its name written on its chest using the quill, erased it, and then wrote Haru's name as a replacement.

"AAH!!! What are you doing?!" the paper figure screamed.

As Adrian scribbled each letter, the scream faded. Once it was completely silent, Adrian hurled it toward the approaching pool of water under his feet.

"Haru not found... Haru not..." The voice paused, as it stopped crawling.

Adrian and the other members silently waited.

One second.

Two seconds...

"Haru found..." it said.

Grabbing a hold of the paper with tentacles formed from water, it silently crawled back toward the pool basin and restored its original form as though it were a normal pool of water.

Finally, Adrian sighed in relief. "Thankfully, it worked."

Yeo Haru also sighed in relief.

"What now?" Ren asked, still with the pool skimmer in his hands.

Curious, he poked the surface of the water with it. When it didn't react, his shoulders seemed to slump in disappointment.

"How do we get Yeo Haru out of his nightmare?" Ren continued, his voice a little impatient.

Now that there was no more monster, there was nothing of interest here for him. They had also found Yeo Haru, so it's now time for rest.

Xi Huan also came toward Yeo Haru, held him by his shoulder, and shook him. "Hurry and wake up, Haruru."

"I don't understand. I'm fully awake," Yeo Haru said, his face still pale. "What's this nightmare about? Anyway, can we go somewhere else?"

The sight of deep waters greatly disturbed his heart. He didn't really wanna see it.

In consideration of Yeo Haru's trauma, the group relocated to the locker room to continue the conversation. Once Yeo Haru could no longer see the pool, his complexion turned better. Rayen also began his explanation in every detail.

"So, you mean... I woke up here because of you, Bro?"

"... Basically, yes."

Yeo Haru was silent for a while. "Is this what you wanted to say back in the bathhouse?"

Rayen nodded.

"So, you already knew..."

Rayen nodded once again.

Suddenly, Yeo Haru squatted on the floor, holding his head. Watching this scene, everyone blinked in confusion.

"Ahh... This is so embarrassing," Yeo Haru muttered under his breath.

"What's so embarrassing about it?" Rayen asked, his voice soft in consideration of Yeo Haru's feelings. "It's not embarrassing. It's that bully's fault."

"Was Yeo Haru bullied?" Xu Jiji asked.

"Haruru, you were bullied?" Xi Huan asked.

"... I was." Yeo Haru glanced at Rayen, his face red. "Bro..."

'Why reveal all of my darkest secrets?!'

Rayen feigned a cough upon seeing Yeo Haru's expression. "Well, I'm sorry."

Even without Liam's timely reminder of the others' feelings, Rayen knew that this topic of bullying wasn't an easy matter to talk about for Yeo Haru. As well as the topic of his death. Not one of the two was easy to talk about.

But the mission was already issued, and they just tagged along. He couldn't possibly stop these seven people from coming. Just look at Mr. Big News's body!

"Don't worry, Haru. You won't get bullied again." Iris smiled gently at Yeo Haru. "But how do we rescue Yeo Haru out of his nightmare now?"

Yeo Haru glanced at Iris tearfully.

"Based on what we heard earlier, it seemed like we need to wait until the Emotional Event is complete," Adrian said.

"What does that mean?"

Adrian only shrugged in response. "It could possibly mean that the emotional part of Yeo Haru's death still hasn't passed."

"So we need to wait until Yeo Haru dies?" Xi Huan asked. "Let's shove him back to the pool!"

Hearing her words, Yeo Haru shuddered.

"Let's just wait," Adrian said. "We already substituted Haru, so let's wait and see."

Just as he said this, there seemed to be another commotion coming from outside the locker room.
