Unrivaled in another world

Chapter 123: Cycle of Killing and Power

[: 3rd POV :]

For the next few days, Daniel became a phantom of vengeance that tore across continents.

The sun had not yet risen on the third day when the System recorded its tenth facility annihilated, its eleventh reduced to nothing but ashes drifting across the cold winds.

He didn't rest, didn't eat, didn't breathe in the same way mortals did anymore.

The world itself seemed to quake whenever his shadow passed, not from his presence, but from the fear that followed it.

Everywhere he arrived, the air changed first.

The mana twisted in awe, bending to his will, and the stars dimmed slightly as though refusing to look down at the slaughter that was about to occur.

The first of the next facilities was buried deep beneath the dunes of the Western Deadlands, an area swallowed by eternal sandstorms and shifting mirages.

The Zero Organisation's base was invisible to the naked eye, cloaked beneath layers of illusion and technology.

But Daniel's voice cut through the veil like a blade.

[: Eyes of Calamity: Far Sight :]

His vision expanded endlessly, peeling away the mirages, and there it was, a colossal dome, buried in the heart of the storm, guarded by hundreds of armoured elites and their beasts.

He raised his hand slowly.

The sandstorm froze mid-motion.

Every grain of sand, every gust of wind, stopped as if time itself held its breath.

[: Element of Destruction :]

A small orb of nothingness appeared on his fingertip, quiet, unassuming. Then it dropped.

In a single instant, the desert was gone.

No explosion.

No flames.

Just absence.

A void crater stretched for miles where the facility once stood, devouring light and matter until there was nothing left but silence.

[: Congratulations, you have annihilated 11,202 targets :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: All stats increased by 200,000,000 :]

Daniel turned, the desert winds returning to fill the emptiness.

His cloak fluttered once before he vanished, leaving the world to mourn in stunned quiet.

The next facility hid beneath the Cerulean Trench, deep under the ocean's black waters.

The pressure alone could crush battleships, yet Daniel descended with ease.

His eyes glowed faintly beneath the abyss, and his aura illuminated the waters like a dark sun.

Monsters the size of fortresses stirred around him, abominations fused with machines, flesh bound by steel cables, their bodies trembling as if they could sense what had entered their domain.

They never got the chance to roar.

[: Sword of Final Rule :]

A single swing.

The ocean split in half.

The trench itself cracked, water turned into vapour, and everything in the vicinity, the facility, the monsters, and the sea floor, was erased in a single stroke that rewrote the laws of the deep.

[: Congratulations, 10,210 enemies eliminated :]

[: Title Progression: Arbiter of Annihilation :]

[: All stats increased by 150,000,000 :]

The waters returned, closing over the void like nothing had happened.

Daniel rose through the surface, the waves hissing where his feet touched them.

His gaze was cold, unreadable. This wasn't victory; it was eradication.

By the fifth day, the northern lights themselves flickered under the weight of his power.

The target was in the Ruins of Dravemir, an ancient city swallowed by snow and death.

The Zero Organisation had converted it into a testing ground, thousands of chained test subjects, countless monsters lurking behind walls of ice, and entire towers filled with equipment that screamed of heresy.

As Daniel arrived, the cold itself bowed.

The guards saw a figure materialise in the sky, surrounded by motes of void energy that shimmered like dying stars.

They raised their weapons, ready to unleash mana cannons that could level mountains.

Daniel's eyes flashed red.

[: Eyes of Calamity: Death Effect :]

Every living thing within his vision simply stopped.

Their hearts ceased, their mana froze, their souls burned away in silence.

It all happened in a single second, no noise, no resistance, just instant oblivion.

[: 22,003 targets eliminated :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: All stats increased by 250,000,000 :]

The facility collapsed into the snow, disintegrating as if history refused to remember it existed.

Daniel knelt for a moment beside a group of frozen children, their chains falling apart as he extended his hand. Golden light pulsed from his palm.

[: Life Rejuvenation (SS) :]

Their bodies were healed, their frostbitten limbs restored, and he teleported them away, back to safety, back to the world that still had hope.

But Daniel's face remained stone.

Hope was a luxury he no longer entertained.

The fourth facility was located inside the Skyreach Citadel, a floating fortress suspended in the heavens.

The Zero Organisation used it to command hundreds of aerial beasts and launch long-range strikes on remote cities.

The moment Daniel appeared in the sky above it, sirens wailed.

Dozens of dragons roared, their scales flashing with enchanted light, and fleets of flying warships aimed.

Daniel raised a single finger.

[: Decay of Nothingness :]

The dragons dissolved mid-flight, their majestic forms withering into black dust.

The warships turned to rust, collapsing before they could fire.

The floating fortress cracked open like glass under divine pressure.

In a single second, the sky rained fragments of decay.

[: Congratulations, 11,998 targets erased :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: All stats increased by 500,000,000 :]

[: Title Earned: Reaper of the Dragons :]

Thunder roared, lightning spiralled, and the heavens themselves dimmed as Daniel floated through the falling debris, untouched by the chaos he had birthed.

His cloak billowed in the storm, his eyes reflecting no triumph, only resolve.

By the seventh day, Daniel's presence was whispered across the continent.

To the innocent, he was a saviour. To the damned, he was a nightmare made real.

The fifth facility stood at the edge of the Forbidden Valley, surrounded by obsidian cliffs and rivers of molten gold.

Here, the Zero Organisation experimented on souls themselves, fusing them into constructs that could not die.

When Daniel appeared, the guards screamed his name in terror.

Some tried to flee.

Others begged for mercy.

None received it.

He raised his palm.

[: Element of Destruction :]

A crimson light filled the horizon, swallowing everything.

The ground turned to glass.

The rivers of molten gold evaporated.

The facility, the soldiers, the twisted experiments, all were consumed in a single, blinding flash that burned itself into the sky like judgment.

[: Congratulations, 12,889 lives annihilated :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: All stats increased by 1,500,000,000 :]

[: Title Earned: Death Cataclysm :]

Daniel stood at the centre of the new crater, silent, the heat of the aftermath swirling around him.

He could hear the faint whispers of those he had saved echoing in his mind, not as thanks, but as memories that refused to fade.

And still, it wasn't enough.

Daniel's gaze sharpened, the faint trace of wrath burning behind his calm expression.

His strength had reached unfathomable heights; each stat had long since surpassed what mortals could even measure, but his hatred had only deepened.

He whispered, his voice carried by the wind.

"I'll erase every last trace of you."

The world itself seemed to tremble at his words as though it agreed with it.

The ground beneath him darkened, the stars flickered, and for a heartbeat, it felt as though even the Will of the World shuddered in acknowledgement.

And as he stepped forward, the void opened, his next destination waiting.

But of course, at the same time, both the system and the Will of the Universe recognised Daniel's overwhelming actions, the endless killing of evil and the salvation of the innocent. Notifications flooded his vision like a rain of light amid the darkness he left behind.

Both the System and the Universe rewarded him, unable to deny his dominance over fate itself.

Every kill, every salvation, every act of annihilation brought new power.

Every time he erased a facility, the will of the world trembled —and offered tribute.

When he looked down upon the battlefield, he saw not the chaos of war — but the shape of equilibrium.

Every life saved balanced the death he brought. Every scream silenced restored peace elsewhere.

And through it all, his hands never wavered.

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation :]

The ring pulsed with dark light, drawing the remnants of fallen foes into him, their HP, MP, and even their souls converted into pure essence.

It was an endless cycle of destruction and ascension.

The power of the slain became his foundation, the core upon which his evolution continued.

Each activation of the ring sent a surge through his veins like a burning storm of divine energy.

His stats climbed exponentially, breaching limits once thought impossible.

Again and again. Facility after facility.

Death after death.

Before long, his entire existence resonated with impossible numbers.

His physical strength could shatter worlds, his mana overflowed like an ocean without end, and his soul burned with enough radiance to make Sovereigns tremble.

Ever since the hunt began, Daniel's stats had increased by over two billion across all parameters.

His mere movement could bend reality, and his eyes glowed with layered runes of destruction and creation intertwined, proof that he was no longer bound by conventional power.
