"Sree…"
Before the scream could reach its peak, there was something that stopped it.
Both of us had raised our hands and gathered white light around it before shooting this out.
The moment that this white light hit the ghosts that were coming at us, they were immediately purified.
This was the holy magic that the hero had obtained, so it wasn't just any kind of normal holy magic. This was powerful holy magic that could only be obtained by someone that was very skilled at using holy magic.
Just a single hit was more than enough to clear out these ghosts.
But it wasn't as if there were just a few ghosts that were here.
"Do you want to do it or should I?" I asked Rothchild, but it was already too late as he was already charging forward.
I couldn't help shaking my head with a faint smile when I saw him like this.
It really seemed like he had had enough of his sedentary life and he wanted some action.
Even though from time to time, there were matters that required him to personally take action, it wasn't as if there were that many of those matters. Most of the time, Rothchild would be stuck in his office taking care of paperwork.
Compared to the things that the rest of us did, he felt like he was cooped up.
So when there was a chance to exercise his limbs like this, he didn't hesitate to seize it and charge in before I could do anything.
I just raised my hand and gathered the same white light as before.
Since he was charging in, then all I could do was provide support for him from long range. So I didn't hesitate to release the holy magic at the things that were in the distance while leaving the things near him to him to take care of.
Rothchild had the same power as the rest of us, so it wasn't as if he was at a disadvantage.
It was just that this place really was filled to the brim with undead.
It wasn't just ghosts that came out, there were skeletons, zombies, and even higher tier undead that came at us. It seemed that this dungeon really was the perfect breeding place for these undead type monsters.
They didn't hesitate at all to charge at us even after seeing what we did to the rest of them. But that was just how it was when it came to the undead monsters in the first place since they didn't have anything to fear.
It wasn't as if they had a life to lose since they were already dead.
The only thing that the undead cared about was following the instincts that they had to attack the living. They wanted to take the life force of the living for themselves to make themselves stronger.
For the undead in this place, they were even more hungry than normal undead since they had been starving for a long time.
It had been a long time since anyone had opened up this place, so they really hadn't been able to get any life force in a long time. It made them very hungry for it, so much so that they were even more ferocious than normal undead.
The problem was that the enemy that they faced weren't normal people.
The two of us were far stronger than any normal raiders.
That was how we easily crushed all of the undead that came at us.
Still, it was quite the terrifying scene for a normal person.
If they saw all of these undead charging at them, they would have been terrified by the sight.
Not so much for us since we had the experience of the Immortal One.
The ruler of the undead naturally wouldn't be afraid of the undead.
Once Rothchild seemed to have had his fill, he finally moved back from the undead that were charging at him and started using long range attacks.
In the first place, there really was no need for us to charge at them since we could have used long range attacks. In fact, the melee attacks weren't even as efficient since they didn't have the same purification power of the ranged attacks.
While Rothchild coated his weapon in holy magic, it wasn't as strong as the concentrated holy magic that I shot out.
So it was more that he was letting out stress rather than actually taking down the undead properly.
"Satisfied?" I asked him when he came back, but he didn't say anything in response.
Instead, he changed the topic by saying, "Let's speed it up. It'll take a long time if we clear out all of these undead as they appear. It's better if we just rush to where the treasure is right away."
I gave a nod of agreement before gathering more white light in my hands.
The two of us had been holding back to a certain extent since we didn't know what was hiding in the darkness of this dungeon for us. But from what we could see, it didn't seem like there was anything that could actually cause trouble for us.
In that case, it shouldn't matter if we went a little wild.
With the increased power of the holy magic, we blasted a large hole in the wall of undead in front of us.
Once they felt the power of this holy magic, the undead finally showed a trace of fear.
It was a kind of instinctual fear that came from the holy magic.
After all, the undead and holy magic were opposing forces.
They mixed like fire and water, which really didn't mix at all.
That was why they couldn't help moving back when they saw this powerful holy magic.
"Now."
Even if Rothchild didn't say this, I was already prepared to charge forward.
With this hole that we made, we were able to bypass this corridor filled with undead and reach a room that was more quiet.
It wasn't that there weren't undead here.
It was just that the undead here were different from the ones that we encountered before.
