Hero or Villain, Both

Chapter 332: Ooze

Since we had been here in the game, I naturally knew where the thing that I was looking for was.

Following the memories from my past life, I was able to find the staircase that led down deep into the dungeon.

This place was a place that had been specially created by the Saradon Family when they were still alive. It was a place where they kept the dangerous things that they created with their alchemy.

But right now, there was only one thing that was inside of this space.

It was the thing that had caused their downfall, the thing that had been too strong for them to do anything against.

It even took all that they had to contain it.

Right now, I was heading down to release it.

It wasn't that I was confident in destroying it. After all, there was a reason why it had been sealed in the first place.

It was that I had a way of taking control of this thing.

It was something that was discovered by the theorycrafters of the internet, but this became the one tech that everyone used once it was discovered.

So it was only natural that I would be using it as well.

Following these stairs down, I eventually reached the place where the creature was being held.

It was a room that had several seals on them, but that wasn't a problem for me since I could easily break through these seals. I already knew the way to break through the seals, but I didn't rush it as I prepared the things that I needed.

Only after I had finished preparing these things did I step forward to tap certain positions on the wall.

The seal that had been created was one that was supposed to be accessible to those that knew the method to unlock it. After all, there was no telling what would happen after the Saradon Family fell.

They knew that, so that was why they created this seal like this.

After I tapped those certain spots, there were faint lights that appeared on the wall before they disappeared.

The next thing that appeared was a light on the door itself.

It was a magic array that appeared that seemed responsible for sealing the door closed.

After it appeared, it soon disappeared without a single trace and the door itself opened up.

But the moment that the door opened, there was this sound that came from behind it.

"Squelch."

It was a very strange sound to hear and for those that didn't know what was behind the door, they naturally would have been caught off guard by this. But since I already knew what was waiting for me behind this door, I wasn't surprised by this sound at all.

In fact, I had already been waiting to hear this sound the entire time.

Once the door opened, the thing that was behind the door came out and was about to attack me.

Only before it could, I disappeared without a trace.

This was one of the special abilities that came with the class that I had been given.

Once the thing that came out couldn't find me anymore, it seemed like it lost interest in me. Instead of searching for me, it started looking around the room as if it was looking for something that would catch its interest.

This gave me the opportunity to look at it closely.

It was a pile of ooze.

This was something that was similar to a slime, but it wasn't a slime.

This pile ooze was something that had been created with alchemy rather than a creature that had been born naturally. So it didn't have a core to gather around like the slimes did.

It was a creature that only had instincts and nothing else.

As for the greatest instinct that it had, it was to devour everything that it could get its hands on.

In the first place, this pile of ooze had been created as a weapon for the Saradon Family. Only they were unable to control it since it was something that only listened to instincts.

The way that I was about to restrain it wasn't using any kind of special magic.

It was using the instincts that this pile of ooze had.

After looking around the room for a bit, the pile of ooze found what it was looking for.

There was this bait that I had left in this room along with the trap.

Once it spotted the bait, the pile of ooze didn't hesitate to go for it.

The moment that it tried to swallow that bait, there were blades that suddenly came out of that thing that pushed it back. The ooze didn't seem to care that it was pushed back as it grabbed the bait that I had left behind.

Once it was sent flying, it eventually reached the trap that had been laid there.

It was a bag that had been left hanging there, but it wasn't just any normal bag.

This was a Spatial Bag, a special bag that had spatial magic cast on it which gave it far greater carrying capacity than any normal bag.

Once the pile of ooze was flung into the open Spatial Bag, it disappeared without a trace.

At that moment, I came out and grabbed the Spatial Bag to close it.

The process had been so smooth that it was almost hard to believe, but this was just how it was.

The instinct of the pile of ooze was to attack, but it also had the instincts to hibernate when it was forced into darkness like this. That was part of the reason why the Saradon Family had been able to seal off the pile of ooze like this.

It was just that none of them had ever thought of using a Spatial Bag that was void of oxygen and light to trap the pile of ooze like this.

This was something that only those from another world could come up with.
