"Did you get it?"
"Who do you think I am? Of course I got it." I said in response to Rothchild's question.
He came over to take a look at the Spatial Bag that I was holding, but the look on his face had a different meaning.
It was clear that he wasn't looking at this as if he was doubtful of whether I had succeeded or not. It was more that he was curious about the thing that was currently inside of this Spatial Bag.
It really seemed like he wanted to open it up and have a closer look at that thing.
Only this wasn't possible.
"You should know how difficult it'll be to put this thing back if we were to release it that casually."
Rothchild seemed disappointed when he heard this, but he didn't actually say anything to deny this since he knew that this was correct.
But it was clear by the look on his face that he really wanted to take this thing out and see what it was capable of.
In the end, I said, "So if we're going to do this, then we should do it on a larger scale to justify it."
Rothchild looked surprised to hear me suggest this, but then he looked at me with a wide smile on his face.
I didn't return this smile, but I did feel the same way as him.
It was hard enough to get this thing, so it really was a waste to not see it in action.
"I've already laid out the bait, so there should be enough prey outside waiting for us."
Rothchild seemed surprised to hear this, but then he said with a faint smile, "What are we waiting for?"
The two of us passed by the room with the altar, but it seemed that Faust had already returned without saying anything to us as there was only the altar that was left there. The liches that had been in this room were also gone since he had already taken control of them and taken them away.
Since he had already taken them away, then there was nothing for us to do here other than to collect the altar.
We didn't even bother clearing out the core of this dungeon since there was nothing to gain from that.
If the dungeon spawned more monsters and treasures, then it would be in our best interest. We could always come back and harvest it again once it was filled with more monsters and treasures.
When we came out of the dungeon, we could see the monsters that had gathered.
These were monsters that had been drawn in by the perfume that I had left in front of the dungeon. This was a special perfume that mimicked the pheromones of these monsters, which brought them here.
But when they saw that there wasn't the thing that they expected to see, they were naturally angry and disappointed.
When they were angry and disappointed, they went to find something to vent these emotions on.
When Rothchild and I came out, we naturally became the target of these monsters.
However, neither of us were afraid.
The first thing that we did, or rather the first thing that I did was raise the Spatial Bag that I had been holding the entire time.
Then without any hesitation, I grabbed the opening of the Spatial Bag and opened it up.
The moment that this Spatial Bag opened, there was this fear that suddenly went through all of the monsters that had gathered.
A few of them even seemed like they wanted to run, but they were too afraid to run in the end.
They just stared at the Spatial Bag that I was holding with strange looks.
It continued until there was a tentacle that came out that seemed like it was pulling something up.
It didn't take long for the ooze to appear.
As soon as it appeared, it seemed like it noticed something as it turned to look at all the monsters that were in front of it.
After a momentary pause, the ooze suddenly charged forward at the monsters that were gathered there. There was no hesitation at all in the way that it acted, it was as if there was only one thing that was on its mind.
Eat.
Eat everything that was in front of it.
That was all that the ooze was thinking as it looked at these monsters.
Though that wasn't strange since this was the instinct that it had been born with.
It didn't notice us at all since we had already hidden ourselves.
Or it was better to say that I had hidden us with my skills.
The only thing that the monsters could do at this point was fight since they knew that they wouldn't be able to escape the grasps of this ooze.
That was why even though most of these monsters had never met each other before, they suddenly started working together to attack the ooze.
But no matter how they slashed at the ooze, there really wasn't anything that they could do to it.
It wasn't as if they weren't causing any damage at all to the ooze, it was just that the ooze recovered from all the damage that these monsters caused. It didn't matter how deep the damage was, the ooze was able to regenerate from all of it.
There was a reason why the Saradon Family hadn't been able to do anything to this ooze and had no choice but to seal it.
Even with their alchemy skills, they hadn't been able to find a way to suppress its immortality.
That was the true power of this ooze.
No matter how one tried to take it down, they wouldn't be able to do so because it would be able to regenerate infinitely.
So in the end, the only thing that the monsters could do was watch as they were being swallowed by this pile of ooze.
