The woman who came down from the vehicle was named Hayley, and she was the commanding officer of the ninth squad. She was a beautiful woman with a mature older sister vibe that would make most men shy just from talking to her! She had long purple hair that partially covered one of her eyes and dark red cat-like eyes that regarded Jason with curiosity! Hayley knew that they were dealing with something far outside their understanding right now. The monsters that were killing the Lynx were obviously not normal, and with the way Jason was standing, Hayley was sure that he had to be the one in charge here. So Hayley decided that she would put on a friendly demeanour first, and they would only attack if Jason proved to be hostile to them. Hayley walked over to Jason and stopped only a few feet away from him before introducing herself. Jason wasn't able to understand a word she said since she was speaking a different language, but the system easily integrated this new language into Jason's mind, and Jason asked the woman to repeat her question.

Hayley's eyes widened slightly.

"So you do speak Varigan. That should make this easier. My name is General Hayley, and I am the head of the Ninth Squad responsible for protecting the Artemis shelter. We were on our way here to confront the Lynx, but it appears you already have things under control. You aren't from around these parts, are you?"

Jason shrugged as he glanced over at the battle again. The Sovereign was taking care of another Lynx, and Jason frowned slightly as the creature was burned with a massive explosion of fire! What a useless creature. Jason had been on his way towards the Dimensional Tear that would allow him to leave this world when he and Gina ran into the horde of Lynx that were here. The Lynx were ugly-looking, tall creatures with long arms and razor-sharp nails and teeth! They had attacked Jason the moment they saw him, and Jason sent his Legion to take care of them. But Jason had been pissed when he discovered that these things couldn't give him any experience or subordinate boosts since they weren't alive at all! They literally had no soul, so he couldn't revive them. The only thing Jason could get from them was Kill Points, and he could also revive their bodies using [Necrotic Reanimation]. Jason couldn't help but think that they were absolutely useless!

Jason spoke to Hayley in a disinterested tone.

"We just ran into them while we were passing through. We'll be heading off soon, so you can just ignore us."

Jason began to turn around to leave, but Hayley suddenly stepped closer and put her hand on Jason's chest to stop him. Jason looked back at Hayley with a raised brow before looking down at her hand, and Hayley smiled at Jason and spoke softly.

"Let's not be hasty. We're not enemies, and there's a lot more we'd like to ask you. If you don't mind, how about returning with us to the settlement? We'll be sure to help you locate wherever you want to go in exchange for a few questions."

Hayley flashed a smile at Jason, and she waited for Jason to give her an answer! Hayley knew that this exact tactic was something that had worked on every single man that she had ever known. Hayley wasn't stupid, and she knew exactly what sort of effect her beauty and personality had on men, so she had absolutely no problems using her charms to try and get men to do what she wanted! At that moment, Hayley knew that Jason was more than powerful enough to take on every one of them, so appealing to his masculinity was the most sensible thing to do.

Jason looked down at the hand on his chest again, and for a moment, he felt irritation bubble up from inside him. Who the fuck did this woman think she was that she could just touch him whenever she wanted? Jason was about to speak, but before Jason could even say a word, a sudden gust of wind slammed into Hayley!

BOOM!

"ARGH!"

Hayley was suddenly thrown back, and she slammed hard into the ground behind her with a shout! The rest of the military officers who had come with Hayley were immediately on guard, and many of them reached for their weapons! The teenagers who were piloting the giant Zen robots all got into fighting stances as well, and a sudden surge of anger rolled through Haruto when he saw that Hayley had been attacked! These bastards dared to touch his fucking goddess! He was going to kill all of them!

At his side, Rei looked at him like he was a complete idiot. Rei could feel his anger through their mental link, and she just shook her head because she knew that the only reason Haruto was so angry was because Hayley had him wrapped around her finger with her big sister act and large breasts! Haruto was the literal description of a simp who would fall for anyone who was even a little kind to him! Men were so stupid!

But before anyone could attack, they were shocked when they saw a red-headed woman come over to Jason, and she put one hand on Jason's cheek before using her other hand to dust the area where Hayley had touched. Jason still managed to look completely unaffected by the sudden turn of events, and he just smiled when the red-headed woman spoke to him.

"Is everything alright, babe? Did that skank do anything stupid?"

"You could've killed the poor woman."

This was Jason's amused response, and Gina frowned as she turned around slightly to see Hayley getting back up on shaky feet. Gina nodded when she saw this, and she turned back to Jason with a grin.

"Well, I held back as much as possible, so she'll live. But what's going on? Are they trying to keep us here?"

Jason just shrugged, and he gave Gina a basic rundown of what he had spoken about with Hayley. Hayley just wanted him to come back to their settlement with them so they could ask questions, but it was obvious that Hayley was interested in the power that he used to kill the Lynx so easily, and she was trying to use whatever means she could to make him join their side. Gina turned and glared at Hayley! The woman had finally gotten to her feet with the help of one of her soldiers, and she put a hand to her head and raised the other hand to tell the soldiers not to shoot! Hayley looked over at Gina and scowled at her in anger!

"What the fuck was the meaning of that? Do you think you can just attack me and we'll ignore it without retaliation?"

Hayley's face was twisted in righteous anger, and Gina just glared her down while putting her hand on Jason's shoulder sensually. When Gina spoke, it was with the most condescending look that Hayley had ever seen!

"I'd suggest you keep your hands away from other people's men if you want to keep that pathetic life of yours. The next time I catch you trying something like this, I'll make sure you lose more than just your pride, skank."

A light reflected off Gina's hand, and Hayley looked over to see the blood-red ruby ring that was on Gina's finger! Hayley had already been feeling an intense anger surge through her when she heard what Gina said, but the moment she saw that ring, it was like a literal fuse had been lit inside her head, and she had to bite her cheek hard to make sure she didn't lash out the way she wanted! Hayley couldn't believe that this bitch was just throwing her relationship in her face like this!
