The whole world at that point fell silent.
It wasn't because there wasn't any sound, but it was because this was the kind of silence that came before absolute annihilation.
The mana was freezing midair and even the dust didn't move. The corrupted energy was recoiling, it was like its instinct was screaming at it that something far more worse was being born.
Adam was standing near at the center of all of this, his knees were trembling, and his fists were clenched so tightly that blood was dripping from his palms.
Veyra's body was laying before him.
It was broken. Still. Her breathing was getting lower and lower by the second.
If nothing was done she would die in just a minute, the attack done to her struck her deeply.
"System..." Adam finally spoke.
[Yes Host?]
"Use my points to buy the phoenix potion from the system shop, a high grade one."
[Understood Host]
[-30'000 SP]
[High Grade Phoenix Revival Potion Purchased]
The potion materialized out of thin air and it was full with mana, one could see its worth even from afar.
Adam gently lifted up her head and made her drink the potion.
"Please drink it, even if you drink a few droplets you'll be fine." Adam said weakly.
Veyra who was slipping into unconsciousness heard a voice calling out to her, and felt something pouring down her throat and she instinctively gulped it down.
The response was immediate, fire began to engulf her whole body and it wasn't the violent kind but it was warm.
Her injuries were healing in an instant, her broken bones, lungs and internal injuries.
After a few seconds the process stopped and Veyra's breathing was now back to normal, she didn't wake up and immediately fell unconscious after drinking the potion.
She was stable and she was safe now, looking at her sleeping body and her torn clothing Adam bought a jacket from the system shop and covered her exposed upper body.
Even if she was now fine and alive something within Adam had already shattered.
It didn't crack, it didn't fracture.
But it shattered—into pieces that were so small that would take time for them to be put back together.
***
Adam screamed, and that scream was no longer human.
You couldn't even say that was a scream but a roar from something that could bring calamity upon the world.
The roar was raw, it was ancient and it was layered. It was as if countless voices were roaring through his throat all at once.
His mana erupted from his body like in a violent pulse, the mana didn't expand outward but it was collapsing inward.
It composed all around his body with terrifying density, the ground was cracking beneath him, spiderweb like cracks were racing outward for hundreds of meters.
The corruption was fleeing and the air was screaming.
Adam's spine was arched backwards as his body was convulsing violently, his bones cracked but not from breaking, they were reforming. His muscles swelled and were reshaped, his fibers were knitting together into something that was far denser than ordinary flesh.
His heartbeat was thundering like war drums.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
And each beat was sending ripples through space itself.
He was already in his partial dragon form, but now they began to expand and grow.
With a deafening crack, his skin split open, and it wasn't from gore, it was from radiant destruction. More scales burst forth and they layered over one another with perfect symmetry.
The scales weren't glossy and they weren't even reflective.
They were absorbing the light itself, they were matte black, ancient and also absolute. And along the edges of each scale they ran with faint crimson lines, they were like magna flowing through the cracks in a dead volcano.
His arms were elongating, and his joints snapped and reset as his fingers were fused and sharpened into massive talons that were capable of rending mountains.
His legs were thickening, they were planted into the earth with a titanic force, his toes reshaped into clawed pillars that were sinking meters into stone.
His already visible small wings expanded, they began colossal wings that were layered with obsidian scales and were reinforced with glowing crimson membranes. And when they were fully spread, they blotted out the sky.
The whole wind died and the gravity was warped.
The air was bending around him in reverence or even fear.
Adam's jaw was elongating as his skull was being reshaped, his teeth now sharpened into rows of serrated fangs that were forged to tear gods apart. His mouth was now glowing from within, it was fire, or even ice, but in a void-like radiance, it was where multiple elements were churned violently together.
His eyes, they were no longer human.
They were burning with a primordial gold, slit pupils that were cutting through reality itself. Anyone who met his gaze felt their souls avert their eyes instinctively.
His horns grew into massive, jagged obsidian horns that were curved backwards, they were etched with glowing runic patterns that were older than language, and even older than the world itself.
And when he exhaled, his breath alone was crystallizing the air and scorching the ground simultaneously.
That mana was was pouring off him was no longer than of a Peak A-rank even before his mana reserves weren't that of a normal A-rank but now, it was no longer measurable.
It was an ancient authority.
It was a pressure that crushed people's knees into the dirt, the one that shattered barried and even died the corrupted beings to instinctively bow down or flee.
The corrupted cultists, Jake, Eryndor and High Priest Corvex felt it first.
Their minds were screaming and their bodies refused to even move.
Their connection with the Outer Gods was wavering, it was as if something older and far more dominant had just laid claim to the battlefield.
Even Duke Bazel, an SS-rank powerhouse, was broken and kneeling, he could only stared in horror as his lungs refused to even draw a single breath.
"What... have we done..." Corvex was whispering in pure terror. "We unknowingly unleashed a calamity."
Adam no, the Dragon Sovereign lowered his massive head towards the battlefield itself.
And when he spoke, the sound didn't even travel through the air.
It was resonating directly with their souls.
"You almost took something important from me... twice."
"You're bleeding my world... tainting it with your presence."
"And now... you shall be erased permanently."
His wings folded slightly and the ground beneath him was collapsing entirely, they formed a massive crater as his presence alone was crushing the land.
His obsidian scales were glowing even brighter, the crimson veins were pulsing like they were a living heartbeat.
This wasn't simple rage anymore.
This was judgment itself.
And at this very moment, the would would remember—
The Primordial Dragon has now awakened.
And nothing that standing before him, his enemies wouldn't survive what came next.
***
The dragon envoy and the other two dragons felt it, they didn't want to disturb anything and were watching everything play out.
The council told them to do so, so that they world would remember that dragons were above alone.
But now things weren't going according to plan because of one person:
Adam.
The one the felt the dragonic presence coming from.
"So he truly was a dragon." Ardyn said. "And now he transformed into his dragonic form, I'm afraid the plan has failed."
"So what should we do now." Kyria, his sister asked.
"Nothing," he responded. "We watch how everything plays out... and we'll report to the council after."

Deep Within The Land Of The Dragons.
The dragon emperor stirred, he felt it, the rage, the anger and sorrow coming from Adam.
They had a blood connection and each time he exercised his power. He felt it deep within his soul, the pain and sorrow.
"My great grandchild..." He said. "I feel your pain, your sorrow... no more. I shall no longer sacrifice my family just because of mere words from the council. I'm coming my child."
He spread his massive forth and tore through his cave and flew deep in the sky and disappeared.
His most trusted servants and aid followed, they didn't respond to the council and didn't answer to them either.
When their emperor moved they went along with him, and now that the emperor's kin is in deep sorrow and about to loose himself.
It was time to act.
****
Council Of Elder Dragons.
"The emperor has moved." The head elder said. "It seems, he no longer cares what the council says."
Another elder who didn't agree with the councils ways said. "It's to be excited, we forced him to watch his granddaughter her only family die. And now that her child is known do you think he was going to let it happen again?"
The whole chamber fell silent, they couldn't comment on anything she said but they knew it was true.
The emperor didn't act that time because he thought it was for the good of all the dragons. But after his granddaughter died so did his trust for the elders.
The Head Elder spoke again. "Rules exist for a reason—"
"Bullshit!" Zoey, the elder who spoke against the Head Elder shouted. "To Hell with this council!"
"Zoey, watch your language!" Another elder chimed in.
"Go suck a dick your old fart I'm done with this farce of a council." She said and she also flew off following the emperor.
The whole chamber was silent after Zoey left.
"So, what do we do now." Another elder asked. "We can no longer exert out influence on the emperor or the royal family. Our control is slipping."
No one said anything as they were all in deep thought.
"Contact Ardyn," The Head Elder spoke. "Tell him to capture the dragon, we'll use him to manipulate the emperor. What can a mere young dragon do against Ardyn with hundreds of years of experience?"
The whole council agreed, they couldn't kill Adam unless they wanted the emperor to erase them.
But soon they'll learn that they've greatly underestimated him and it would cost them dearly.
***
Back to the battle with the entity.
All of them felt the rise in power and the draconic presence.
And the entity who was partially sealed in the crack also sensed this.
It underestimated the powerhouse as they mixed in some ancient seals in their law attacks.
"Seems like my plan failed," It said. "But now I know who the heir is and he must die!"
Its presence roared as multiple tendrils burst through its body and passed through the portal it created towards where Adam was.
The powerhouses were preoccupied with holding down the entity that they couldn't afford to help.
"What should we do?" Asked Duke Caelthorn. "It went after the dragon boy."
"Nothing," Emily spoke. "It won't succeed, since 'He' felt, and Adam already has her essence."
"Who are you talking about?" Duke Dragonis asked, clearly interested.
Emily just smirked. "The dragon emperor must be coming, he won't let his great grandchild slip away after losing his granddaughter afterall."
