Everything that just occurred happened in just 5 seconds, even before he was able to decapitate Adam's head and seal the coffin.

An unexpected voice rang out and made him startled.

Soren felt a shiver down his spine, the person whom he thought was immobilized began to rise like nothing happened.

Suddenly before he could do anything he was encased in a thick and hard layer of crystalized ice rendering him immobile.

"Before I deal with you... I must seal this damn coffin."

Adam brought out a device filled with immense mana from his inventory and threw it towards the coffin.

When it came into contact a surge of mana erupted around the coffin, it got covered in huge layers of thick ice sealing it completely.

The seal was reinforced with spatial energy for good measure.

"—We... failed...—"

"—For now... we shall...—"

"—Fall back... we shall...—"

The whispers died down as the coffin was once again sealed and nothing would break it for now.

"I spent around 10'000 points for this darn seal... it was necessary though."

While this was happening Soren was in a dilemma, he couldn't breakthrough the ice that was trapping him in one place.

It wasn't like the previous power he was exposed to, no matter how many calculations he ran in his head.

He couldn't find a way to breakthrough this ice and escape.

"Impossible." He muttered.

Adam turned his body towards him and flashed a wide grin.

"Oh? You don't think you had a chance do you?" Adam said with a chuckle.

"All those calculations, all that planning... only do loose once more."

Adam walked towards Soren, the wound around his neck has already healed and the poison was rendered null in just a few seconds.

"As you can see." He said while showing him his neck.

"You can't kill me, even if you had the chance."

"And you should've wondered what happened to my armor, but I guess you were too busy winning to realize this."

"H-how?" Soren asked, his eyes were still wide in disbelief.

"Oh? What happened to your mechanical voice?" Adam asked mockingly. "Well if you know..."

He released his mana which displayed the power of an A-rank awakened, however it was far denser and more pure than a standard one.

"Y-your an A-rank how!?" Soren shouted.

"Ah! Your intel didn't reach that far huh?"

Adam said as he walked closer to Soren, he summoned his sword from his inventory as it hummed with dense mana.

"Now... I was growing annoyed with the cultists and these games... and you had to piss me off as well." He said with a grin. "Now I'm going to torture you and you'll tell me everything I want to know."

"I'll never talk!" Soren spat.

"Oh I don't really care about that, all I want is to relieve my pent up frustrations and your the perfect target."

Adam didn't give him another chance to answer as he raised his sword and sliced off his arm clean off.

"ARGHHHHH!!!"

Soren screamed at the top of his lungs, his arm was cut and landed at his side while still encased in ice.

"Don't cry now, we're just getting started." He said as he cut off another arm.

"ARGHHH!"

Soren screamed in pain and he gasped for air.

"I-still won't talk." Soren said defiantly.

"We'll see about that."

Adam summoned his system screen and purchased ten high grade potions, capable of regenerating limbs.

He forced Soren to drink the potion which healed his injuries and regenerated his lost limbs.

"See I'm going to cut off your limbs, spill your cuts out, gorge out your tongue, pluck of your eyes until I finish these potions."

"I'm going to torture until I'm satisfied, and after that I'll deliver your corpse to your masters."

Adam said while flashing a devilish grin.

"Be prepared."

'Fuck!'

Adam processed the information he has received.

It seems that prince Cedric has been working on his own private force in the shadows.

Receiving support from the Duchess of the Dragonis family, they've recruited orphans from a young age and trained them.

They've made them into machines and implanted mechanical parts into them.

This took 15 years of work in order to complete and they've finally perfected the process and Soren was a prime example of the fruits of their labor.

Right now they only have about 20 forces but in time they will be able to reach a dozen or even more and all of them were peak B rank and above.

In time they will be able to perfect their technology and be able to make S-rank or even SS rank soldiers.

"Seems like things are getting intense."

Adam said while processing the information, it seems the Duchess and the prince have greater ambitions than expected.

And they've tested this technology on him since he was already a thorn on their side.

And he didn't wonder how they knew his mission location, The prince Cedric would already have known about the mission and decided to act on it now.

"Seems like I have to be more careful from now on."

He said so while Soren on the other hand looked like a lifeless husk, he long gave up on life after the relentless torture from Adam.

There was blood splattered around the chamber and multiple severed limbs scattered on the floor.

"Please... just... kill... me..."

"Hm? Still hanging on huh? Just one last question what are they planning?"

"Inter... racial... competition..."

"Kyrexis... unsealing... academy..."

"That's enough." Adam replied when he heard what he said.

"Adam... death... capture... finals..." Soren said as his last flame got snuffed out.

"I see, it seems like they'll act during the inter-racial competition."

"And both of them are working with the cultists huh?"

"Draconic Summoning: Ignis."

A draconic silhouette covered in red flamming mana appeared right next to him, it opened its maw and let out a devastating breath of fire.

The fire completely consumed soren's corpse and left it in ash, this would prevent evidence of what occured in this area from going out.

"Seems like I have a lot of work to do."

In Prince Cedric's Chambers

Cedric was sitting his his bed chambers while his servants were busy attending to him and he was drinking red wine.

That's when a servant hurriedly rushed to him with a crystal communication orb.

"My prince... the duchess as contacted you."

"Hm? That woman? Maybe Soren has completed the job."

Cedric picked the orb and what he heard from the other end brought a frown on his face.

"Soren failed, Adam is still alive."

The whole room was silent for a moment, but this time Cedric didn't lash out in anger.

He took a deep breath and drank the whole until the was nothing left in his glass.

"No matter. It was just a test, he shall fall in the competition."

"All plans have reached their final stages, a few months from now our whishes will be fulfilled." .

Back To Adam

Adam was finishing off his duties by making sure that all of the cultists have been delt with, that's when the whole at scene it the chamber shifted.

We was no in a long corridor of castle, and at the end of it was a large golden door.

He felt drawn to it and began walking towards it, upon opening it he found a beautiful woman standing next to a dragon statue.

She had the same yellow-golden eyes and silver eyes as him, her aura commanded respect and he couldn't even gauge her level of power.

The woman then turned towards him, she looked at him with a longing gaze filled with sadness.

She flashed a smile while walking towards him.

Adam couldn't move, even if he wanted to he couldn't but felt like the woman wouldn't cause any harm to him.

"You have grown so much..." She said while caressing his cheeks.

"Ever since I left you as a little egg, you've grown to be a strong dragon."

"I'm proud of you, my child."

Adam was confused, the woman he was starring at looked familiar to him.

He instincts told him that's where he belonged and that there was no warm that was about to befall him.

"Who are you?" He asked.

The woman flashed a small smile filled with sadness and looked at him directly.

"Ah yes, I guess you wouldn't recognize me... I'm sorry for not being in your life but I'm here now." She said.

"My name is Valerie von Athelion...and I'm your mother."
