Adam just stared at him, seeing his regenerative capabilities he was a little on guard. But he knew, Jake was going to die by his hand today, and he didn't care about the consequences.

"It seems like I need to do this before I fight you." Adam said as he took out the box from his inventory.

After taking out the box and looking at it's context, he saw a heart. Well it was half of it inside the box, it was still pulsating with energy.

That's when his system reacted.

Adam's body was full of energy right now he felt like he could deal with those two even more easily than before.

He looked at the inheritance his mother left him, not only was it a powerful skill but also another sword that was of EX Rank.

The energy from the heart also boosted his power tremendously and he felt he could breakthrough to S-rank now if he wanted to.

But Adam decided not to do so. He wanted his foundation to be unshakable. He wanted his stats to reach at least two thousand on all categories before he attempted to reach S-rank.

He wanted to be significantly stronger upon entering the realm of the powerhouses, he was now also exposed people and most of them being important figures knew that he was a dragon.

In order to combat or even escape these people, his strength must be at least at a certain threshold so he would be able to escape if things got too though.

Adam looking at his abilities smirked, he could deal with Jake easily before but he wanted to make his sense as agonizing as it could be.

Jake felt the change that occured from within Adam and felt a sense of dread, but his pride and his recent power boost made him not think clearly. "That minor power boost won't save—!"

But before he could say anything Adam was already near him. "Just shut up and become a pack."

BOOM!

An uppercut was landed on his jaw that launched him towards the sky, he coughed up black blood and was flailing mid-air.

"DAMN YOU!" Jake screamed his dark aura flared as the shadows started stretching forming makeshift wings that haunted his ascent.

He took out his sword from it's sheathe and it was coated with corrupted mana and his launched a vertical slash towards Adam.

"Die!" Jake shouted.

Adam looked at the attack with a expression and uttered:

"Severing Slash" A single slash was made it the air and met with Jake's attack severing it instantly.

"Impossible—!" His words were caught once again as the slash met with his body severing his body in half, dark blood spilled from the air and the corruption struggled to reattach themselves.

Adam just watched him with a blank expression waiting for him to heal, he then turned towards Eryndor and the horde of monsters. "You'll say there, you pointy eared bastard."

"What do you say?" Eryndor turned towards Adam, his ears and face was flashed red with embarrassment and anger. "How dare a mere lizard tell me a prince what to do—!"

Adam just stared at him and closed his fist, both him and the monsters got encased in space and could've move an inch, their voices and howls couldn't be heard.

Adam turned his gaze towards his friends. "Don't worry, I'll finish this quickly," and then turned to Jake who finished healing. "I'll make sure his suffers before dying."
