From Blade To Spell

Chapter 110: Namek

Elisa walked up to the door and pressed a faint blue glowing stone embedded in the wall beside it.

As she did, the door opened smoothly, and she stepped inside, saying, "Most of the time, my grandfather isn't home. As for my parents, they work as adventurers, so they rarely stay here."

Viola, curious, asked, "Elisa, which adventurer group did your parents join?"

Elisa replied with a smile, "The Roaring Wind Group."

Viola's eyes widened in surprise. She couldn't help but exclaim, "The Roaring Wind Group! Ah, I should've guessed!"

"They're famous, especially for Miss Emile, a peak Tier 1 Wizard known for mastering the rare healing spell, Greater Heal."

"With that spell, she can not only recover injuries quickly but also dispel negative effects."

"And there's a Tier 4 Master Archer in the group too, his shooting ability is terrifying. I just don't know his name."

Elisa smiled again. "Well, my father's name is Namek. He's the master hunter you're talking about."

Aaron quietly memorized the names, filing them away in his mind.

A few minutes later…

Aaron followed Elisa down a stone path illuminated by glowing crystals embedded in the ground.

He passed a garden filled with small trees and blooming flowers. Tiny birds nested in the branches, and a pond shimmered nearby.

Though it was night, the soft glow of the crystals revealed enough to hint at the luxurious lifestyle within.

The group soon reached the manor, and Aaron was struck by its size and elegance.

Elisa took the lead, opened the gate, and said, "Please come in."

Aaron walked in with Viola, glancing around and remarking, "Your house is very big… and quite rich."

Elisa smiled. "Lord Aaron, many people compliment it, but your words are just precise enough."

Just then, footsteps echoed from the left. They turned to see a middle-aged man with wheat-colored skin, a mustache, and robes.

Elisa's eyes lit up. "Father! You're home!"

She rushed forward and embraced him.

Namek hugged her back. "My precious daughter, how was your trip to the Barren World?"

Elisa smiled. "It was easy. Father, I want to introduce someone, this is Lord Aaron, and this is Big Sister Viola. They'll be staying here for a few days."

Namek looked at the young boy his daughter called "Lord." The moment he saw Aaron, he felt a terrible sense of danger, as if this boy could end his life in an instant.

He had never told anyone,  but years ago, he had attempted to integrate monster bloodlines into his body. Though the attempt failed, he gained two abilities:

Zoomed vision (up to 3x)

Danger perception, which had saved his life many times.

With a solemn expression, Namek bowed and said, "Lord Aaron."

Aaron was confused by the gesture. "Mr. Namek, you don't need to bow to me."

Seeing Aaron's polite demeanor, Namek relaxed a little. "Please, come take a seat. We're preparing a barbecue, would you both like to join us?"

Aaron's eyes lit up with interest. "Of course."

Namek smiled. "Great. Please wait a few minutes, I'll prepare everything."

He turned to Elisa. "Please take Lord Aaron and Miss Viola to the guest room. I'll make the arrangements soon."

Elisa nodded. "Okay, Father."

She led them to a room on the right. "Lord Aaron, Sister Viola, please take a seat."

Meanwhile, Namek headed to the backyard, where his wife Emile was starting the fire.

She had fair skin, blonde hair, and wore a white cloak.

Namek approached solemnly. "Emile, our daughter brought a terrifying guest."

Emile looked up. "What terrifying guest are you talking about?"

Namek took a deep breath. "Remember my danger sense? The one that saved us many times?"

"In front of your father, I always felt there was no chance to escape. That same feeling… I felt it from the guest our daughter brought today."

Emile gave him a look. "So that's all? I thought something serious had happened. Forget it, go make the preparations. I'll bring the guests."

Namek scratched his head. "Okay then… maybe I'm just anxious."

He began chopping dry wood, set up a few more wooden seats, and prepared salads to go with the barbecue.

Emile soon reached the guest room and found the group chatting.

She smiled and entered. "Elisa, how are you?"

Elisa rushed over and hugged her. "Mother, I missed you all."

Emile chuckled. "Okay, enough hugging, there are guests."

She turned to the others. "Lord Aaron, Miss Viola, please come with me."

As they walked, Aaron said, "Miss Emile, I heard you're a rare healer in Mosten City."

Emile shook her head. "Lord Aaron, you can't call me rare, there are many healers in Mosten City."

Viola chimed in, "Come on, Miss Emile. Even I've heard your name. In the outer city, there aren't more than a hundred healers like you."

Emile smiled. "So, Lord Aaron, do you want me to heal anyone?"

Aaron rubbed his head awkwardly. "Nope… I was just trying to start a conversation. But it seems I'm a bad talker."

The trio laughed softly at his honesty.

As they reached the backyard, Aaron saw Namek chopping something, and watched him with curiosity.

Elisa gestured to the seats. "Lord Aaron, Sister Viola please take a seat."

Aaron thought for a moment and asked, "Elisa, do people drink wine here?"

Elisa tilted her head, puzzled. "What is wine?"

Viola, Namek, and Emile also turned to look at Aaron none of them had ever heard the term before.

Aaron considered for a moment. "Have you heard of ale?"

Elisa nodded. "Of course, Lord Aaron. It's a common drink—terrible taste, but it contains alcohol, so people get drunk after drinking it."

Aaron smiled. "Wine is similar to ale, but it's rare and precious, smoother, richer, and often aged for flavor."

Elisa searched her memory, but found nothing resembling wine.

Seeing this, Aaron reached into his Inventory and pulled out a bottle of wine.

The others stared at it with curious expressions.

Aaron examined the bottle, it had no label, just a simple cork sealing the top.
