From Blade To Spell

Chapter 111: Barbeque Time

He walked over to the table where Mr. Namek was working and said, "Mr. Namek, could you please hand me the knife?"

Namek handed over the knife. Aaron took it in one hand, holding the wine bottle in the other.

He gently tapped the top of the bottle twice with the blade,

then tilted it slightly and gave a smooth stroke.

The cork flew off, and a fruity aroma filled the backyard.

Emile had already prepared the glasses. She handed one to Aaron, who slowly poured the wine.

He filled each glass halfway and said, "Please, taste it."

The others watched as Aaron took a small sip. Following his lead, they each took a sip.

A sweet-sour taste with a fruity aroma assaulted their senses, and a warm energy flowed through their bodies, gently nourishing them.

Aaron was stunned. He remembered that green-colored items in his inventory meant rare quality.

Could this wine have magical properties?

Emile exclaimed, "Lord Aaron, your wine must be made from exotic fruits! I can feel the fatigue in my body disappearing!"

Aaron smiled. "Well, Miss Emile, I didn't bring much, please accept these two bottles as a gift."

Emile swiftly placed both bottles into her storage bag

and smiled warmly. "Then I thank Lord Aaron."

Namek, watching this, felt a pang of regret in his heart.

Aaron didn't notice, or he might have offered him a gift too.

Emile said, "Lord Aaron, Miss Viola, please take a seat and enjoy yourselves."

She joined Namek in preparing the barbecue.

Aaron took another sip, then turned to Viola. "Viola, I'll need your help tomorrow."

Viola set her glass down. "Lord Aaron, please tell me what you need."

Aaron asked, "Before that, what's the best-selling potion in the market?"

Viola replied instantly, "Mana Recovery Potion, Stamina Recovery Potion, Healing Potion, and Attribute Boosting Potion."

"The last one boosts physical abilities temporarily, but causes weakness afterward."

Aaron nodded. "Which is the cheapest among them, and easy to make with readily available materials?"

Viola's eyes lit up. "The Mana Recovery Potion, Lord Aaron. It requires only five ingredients, all easily found in shops."

"Its cost ranges from 1 to 10 mana stones, depending on quality. Ten sets of ingredients can be bought easily."

Aaron asked, "What's the cost of the recipe?"

Viola smiled. "You don't need to buy one, I already have it."

"I bought it long ago, hoping to refine potions and earn mana stones. But my talent in alchemy isn't good enough so I gave up."

She took out a scroll made from the bark of an unknown tree and handed it to Aaron.

As she did, she noticed Elisa's confused expression.

Viola thought to herself, "Doesn't Elisa know that Lord Aaron is an Alchemist?"

Then she remembered, Lord Aaron's wizard knowledge was elementary level.

That realization hit her like cold water. She even felt her wallet tremble.

For a moment, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Viola sighed quietly, resigning herself to fate.

Meanwhile, Aaron was suddenly stunned

as a voice echoed in his mind:

"DETECTED: BASIC MANA RECOVERY POTION.

DO YOU WANT TO LEARN IT?

YES / NO"

Aaron blinked. When he had acquired the Blood Pills recipe, the system hadn't prompted him like this.

But now, he could learn the recipe directly.

Without hesitation, he mentally said,

"Yes."

A stream of information surged into his mind. On his stats panel, a new entry appeared: Basic Mana Recovery Potion.

It required 1,000 experience points to reach Level 2.

Aaron didn't hesitate. He poured in 15,000 experience points leaving him with almost two hundred thousand experience points.

For a few seconds, he sat with a dazed expression.

In his mind, he saw himself practicing the potion from childhood to old age.

His proficiency increased, his success rate improved, and by the time he was old, he could brew the potion with 100% purity and success.

Meanwhile, Elisa whispered, "Miss Viola, Lord Aaron doesn't know how to use the information scroll yet."

Viola snapped out of her thoughts. She replied calmly, "Lord Aaron, you need to place the scroll on your forehead and channel mana into it."

Aaron, now back to his senses, reached for the scroll, but before he could touch it to his forehead, it crumbled into dust.

Viola sighed. "Ah… looks like the scroll has expired. Lord Aaron, I'll prepare another one for you tomorrow."

Aaron shook his head. "No need. Just prepare me 100 sets of materials, 10 sets of apparatus, and 200 glass bottles."

Viola was stunned. She looked at Elisa, who simply shrugged.

Viola nodded slowly, still confused but willing to follow his instructions.

A few minutes later, Emile and Namek joined them, sharing tales of their adventures.

Time passed in the blink of an eye. The barbecue was prepared, and they all chatted and ate, enjoying the warmth of the evening.

Soon, it was time to rest.

Early the next morning, after a light breakfast, Elisa and Viola headed out to purchase the supplies, while Aaron remained behind, deep in thought about his plans.

He felt confident that selling mana recovery potions

would easily earn him 1,000 mana stones.

But what troubled him was his skill level.

He knew he could craft potions with zero impurities, but doing so might attract unwanted attention.

After some thought, he decided to consult the girls once he completed the first batch.

Meanwhile, Elisa and Viola had already reached the herb shop, where they purchased 100 sets of ingredients.

Next door, they picked up the apparatus kits and 200 glass bottles.

As they walked back, Elisa asked, "Sister Viola, do you think Lord Aaron will be able to create the mana recovery potion?"

Viola tried her best to smile. "I don't know… maybe we'll find out soon enough."

Elisa frowned slightly. "But if Lord Aaron fails, you'll lose at least 11 mana stones."

Viola sighed. "Indeed… that's one-tenth of my monthly salary."

Elisa sighed and muttered, "Let's hope Lord Aaron quits before he bankrupts us."

Viola nodded silently, her expression matching Elisa's concern.

But then she shook off the negative thoughts and said, "Let's not worry about the future just yet. If Lord Aaron succeeds in creating the mana potion, we'll be looking at huge profits."
