With the arrival of the second powerful corrupted the situation within the city drastically changed, and at a rapid pace. The being that held the northern section of the city naturally felt its presence as soon as it entered the city. Knowing that it decided to launch an all out assault on the two factions holding its domination back.

Waves of monsters rushed forth, drowning the ruined castle in twisted figures as they scrambled over the rubble to find the foe they had been unleashed upon.

The other sides naturally responded to this act, sending forth their own wave of beasts to hold back the tide.

A furious battle was suddenly reignited within the ruined city. All three sides eagerly tearing into each other as they battled for supremacy. Yet the strongest members did not engage just yet, they stayed back and awaited for an opportunity to arise that would allow them to make their move to strike at the other 4th tier creatures that opposed them.

It was to this situation that Violet and her party dashed into.

They had been heading slightly south, attempting to reach the source of the beast lords presences. Yet when they heard the sounds of furious combat break out in the center of the city, they decided to detour slightly to see what was causing this fresh and furious outbreak of violence.

The remains of a wall that once protected the central castle acted as a small hill, acting as a broken facsimile of the Great Wall that still somewhat surrounded the city propper. Granted this inner wall was no where near as grand as the behemoth that was the outer wall.

Still enough rubble remained to act as a great location to observed the happenings of the central area, which was now an active battlefield.

The party arrived atop this rubble hill and bore witness to the carnage below. Hundreds of beast and monsters of all types waged a war. Twisted monsters surged forth, uncaring of any strategy or attempts at defence.

The were as likely to attack their own brethren than the beast that actively opposed them. The monsters themselves seemed to somewhat resemble ants, just with too many limbs jutting out from their body's. Dosturbing tentacle like appendages emerging from their backs, ending in razor sharp claws tore into anything that got in their way. The pitch black carapace like armour that covered their bodies undulated and shifted, the tentacles growing and shrinking back into it at will.

The beasts in the other hand came in a variety of different shapes and sizes, they mainly consisted of 5 separate groups though. Each group loosely working together, yet clearly not out of a prior friendship but necessity. These groups were: giant weasels and ferrets, Dire rats, Oxen, an assortment of flying beasts and lastly earth wyrms.

Violet assumed that each of the groups of beasts was subordinate to one of the beast lords.

The last group however is what caught Violet attention, and finally confirmed her suspicions about that odd mana signature that she felt. A pack of storm touched wolves prowled around the outskirts of the battle, never truly taking a side and attacking either side. They worked as the conductors of the battlefield, aiding one side the moment the other got the upper hand, only to immediately turn around and attack those that they aided the moment their help was no longer needed.

Violet couldn't decide if she approved or hated their strategy, it was devious yet brutally effective. For out of the three sides the wolves were clearly coming out on top with ever exchange.

Taking a moment to take in the scene that was playing out before them the party stayed silent as they tried to figure out what they should do. They all knew that a fourth force, or perhaps reinforcements for the monsters was soon to arrive. So they knew that if they wanted to make an impact they needed to do it quickly.

Luna who had been in her beast form let out a low growl before she spoke into their minds. "We slaughter the monsters, if the wolves come for us we slaughter them too."

Violet glanced at her companion, she wholeheartedly agreed with the sentiment, but slightly worried for Luna. She had become much more… aggressive? Ever since her evolution. Violet understood that she was being impacted by her more bestial nature, but didn't have time to comment on it at this time. For time was something that was of short supply at the current moment.

"Let's go then." Was all Violet said instead.

As so the group of four, that consisted of two fourth tier Lost Species beasts, a dragon and her new companion charged down the rubble towards the battle. Violet opted to arrive from the sky, so pushed off with her large wings and leapt into the sky. From there she coated her body in a layer of void as she raced towards the side of the monsterous ants formation.

Luna dashed down the uneven terrain without slowing down for a moment, her agility more than enough to handle the rubble with ease. Ice coated her fur, her tail gaining a razors edge to it as her claws extended and radiated a biting chill.

Susan opted to jump onto Rhyana's back, the two of them choosing to fight together as a single unit. Susan acting as support and ranged damage, whilst Rhyana dealt with anything that got too close to them.

At the same time, both Violet's and Luna's presences suddenly unfurled in all of their glory. Accompanied by a mighty roar that shook the ground itself. A wave of pressure enveloped the entire battlefield as the Void Dragon decended upon the momentarily stunned monster ants.

All of the beasts currently involved in the battle were third tier creatures, whilst both strong and numerous they were no match for the might of a fourth tier being, let alone two of them. As such the monsters suffered catastrophic losses in meer moments of the two arriving.

A barrage of void bolts and spears tore into the hord from the center of the mass, whilst ice erupted from beneath their feet from the side. Icor flew like rivers as the two companions unleashed their considerable might.

The cadence of the war promptly being shattered with their arrival.
