Over the past 60 years, beast cities have sprung up all over the world which brought about an era of conflicts.

Human leaders were terrified by potential of these rising cities and sought to snip them from the bud which was a mistake.

Ved did not even need to interfere, the beasts retaliated swiftly. Thousands of humans died, villages burnt to the ground.

Eventually the conflicts slowed down but things still aren't peaceful. Occassionally a small scale war between neighbouring cities of beast and human would occur.

Ved had left communication arrays in every city allowing the leaders to contact him or other cities to ask for support.

Over the years Ved had also noticed that humans actually outnumbered spiritual beasts in total population but spiritual beasts had more top tiers.Demonic beasts outnumbered both of them in low rank members by far.

The reason for that was, the higher the grade or rank of a spiritual beast, the less chances they have of conceiving, this was true for humans as well but most humans were still mortals or very low rank.

Demonic beasts were different, while it was true for them as well it was not as severe. A rank 4 demonic beast had a higher chance of conceiving than a rank 2 human or spiritual beast.

For that reason they reproduced like rabbits making their numbers much higher. However there were very few high rank demonic beasts.

Which made harvesting evolution points for Ved very inefficient. To combat this he came up with an idea, beast farming.

Ved figured out that feeding high rank beast cores to demonic beasts speeds up their growth and made it easier for them to break through rank barriers.

For that reason it became illegal to consume rank 4 beast cores for those beasts living in cities under his command.

Whenever they killed a rank 4 or 3 beast, they would take it core and feed it to a peak rank 3 beast of the same species.

This way, they would have another rank 4 beast in about 20 years. These farms had spread throughout the world.

As tribute, each city was required to give 100 000 kilograms of rank 3 meat or 10 000 kilograms of rank 4 meat, in total, that was around plus or minus 2 points every 20 years depending on the grade.

They could also pay that tribute in smaller quantities each year but producing rank 4 meat every year was unrealistic, there weren't enough beasts to go around even on sea.

That plus the wild beasts Ved hunted himself, he was able to raise his points to almost 80.

His status screen was looking good, he smiled softly, it wouldn't be long before he evolved again.

Even if he doesn't go out hunting, 3 beasts on the farms were about to evolve into rank 4 within a few months to a year, they were already in seclusion digesting the last of the cores.

The farms were different from the animal farms of the old world. The beasts were just fed the cores and left in the wild, occassionally somebody would go to check up on their progress but they lived no different from other wild beasts. They only had to prevent them from leaving the area.

Ved looked down at the world below, his eyes landed on the huge city below his mountain. This was the first ever beast city built, it started as a tiny village of rabbits and hippos.

An artificial river ran through the city all the way to the lake surrounding the island. There were 4 smaller cities in this minor world.

The eastern Green Mountain City ruled by lady Evergreen, the deer. The Grass Plains City ruled by Bogg, the mammoth. The western Sky Rise City ruled by Zhandou Houzi, the golden monkey.

The South Western Black Wing City, ruled by Raven, leader of the Ravera clan of the ravens.( They used to be crows, changed it.)

Speaking of the Ravera clan, due to their high intelligence they were chosen as the prime advisers of the king, the first daughter of Raven, Avery was chosen as his servant 60 years ago.

It was due to her advice that his rule over the cities in the outer world had not waned over the past 6 decades.

It was also due to her clans talent in array formations that the trial towers were completed within 20 years in every city thus allowing others to access a few lineages without having to come into the minor world.

" My lord, it's time." Avery spoke behind him, she was in her humanoid form. A beautiful dark skinned woman with pitch black eyes and long black hair.

On her back were a pair of black lustrous wings. She was dressed like an office lady in black with glasses.

Today was the first time spiritual beasts from outside were going to be allowed to take the king's trial in the minor world which could give them opportunities to obtain higher grade lineages or even lineages more suitable for them.

While other trial towers existed in their cities, they only had a few lineages and the highest grade was heaven.

However, Ved couldn't allow everybody so they had to have tournaments outside and only the top 10 of each city would be chosen.

Ofcourse the tournaments were divided by ranks or it would be very unfair and rank 4 were not allowed, they would have their own chance later. This was another one of Avery's ideas.

It was to make the other beasts have a sense of belonging which would make it easier for them to be loyal to Ved and create a sense of unity.

Ved welcomed this idea with open arms. With a thought he opened gates to the minor world allowing them to come in.

Beasts from all over the world poured in, each group led by atleast one rank 4. He recognised a few of them, from Australia they were led by Iron fist.

The muscle brain started challenging others the moment he saw them. Unfortunately for everybody he met another muscle head. A rhino king from Africa.

Before they could start fighting however, Nimue intervened. Her aura shook their souls, this was their first time seeing a rank 5 and it terrified them.

They already thought they were the strongest below the king only to find someone even more powerful than the king.

This was ofcourse by design from Avery, to show them the power within the king's grasp. Nimue appeared next to him.

" Will that be all?* Ved nodded, ' Thank you miss Nimue' She smiled gently then left, for the past 60 years she had taken care of him like her own child.

He turned to look at Avery, ' Let the trials begin.'

Ved 3 was flying through a massive snowstorm that stretched as far as he could see. The temperatures were so cold, frost appeared on his scales in seconds, even his breath froze the moment it left him.

' By Hela's stinky breath, this is freakin cold.'
