Ved created avatars and made them leave the minor world. They spread out to all part of the world.

He was trying to find a way to break through his bottleneck. Unfortunately he couldn't take human form so he couldn't live in the cities.

However with his clones and stealth trait, he could closely observe his subjects without being discovered.

He didn't reveal himself to anybody, not even the leaders of those cities. He knew if he did they would fawn over him.

Time passed, he got to see Goldi from afar, the old man was really successful, he was adorned in gold chains and rings with beautiful spirit crystals.

He even had one of the modern runic tech car invented by a Chinese formation master through combining science with array formations.

The beast race didn't have this kind of technology yet so it was extremely hard to get hold of due to the lack of trade between the two races.

Ved understood how expensive it was, it already costs 1000 heaven grade essence stones amongst humans, even more so amongst beasts.

It should be mentioned that a mortal grade essence stones was equal to 1000 USD in his past life.

And 100 mortal grade essence stones make 1 earth grade essence stone, 100 earth grade essence stones make 1 sky grade essence stone and so on.

And Goldi probably had to use over 10 000 heaven grade essence stones to obtain it. While Ved had more wealth than that, he was the king so it made sense.

But for Goldi to make it through his own effort in only a few decades was impressive and it seemed his effort paid off.

His will was much denser, although not at the level being able to create an image it was much denser than before.

He would probably be able to break through in a few decades or a century. However the one who surprised him the most was Pulse.

The rumours were true, her music really could heal the soul. Ved felt relaxed listening to it, his mind and thought became clearer and he was not even the target.

Her will had also grown much denser than before, infact it had even surpassed Goldi by a little.

Everytime Ved saw her play, he could see a faint image of a harp behind her. It was too faint to see but his soul sense was much stronger than hers so he could see it.

They were not the only ones, the queen of spiders Arich was much stronger as well. Unsurprisingly her path was one of seduction and control.

Which made sense if he thought about it, she wasn't made to fight on the front lines, her body wasn't really strong for a beast, she was more of an army leader type.

So a lineage that allows her to control others like a marionette suited her best. She too had grown significantly stronger than before.

Even her four children had all reached rank 4, even the youngest was at the peak of rank 3 now, just short of breaking through.

Ved watched his people grown and prosper. The mortality rate amongst the beast race was significantly lower, he was happy to see the fruit of his labour.

However he still didn't feel the barrier weakening. He had no clue what needed to be done so just he spent the entire decade wandering the world.

It has been 10 years, the day she was supposed to meet him was drawing near and she was very excited and nervous.

Even though they spent an entire year together and he showed no signs of despising her, she was still nervous, after all both of them had changed, a lot.

However unbeknownst to her, a mistake she made 10 years ago was about to change her plans significantly.

10 years ago. After Naledi left the minor world, she was too excited, so like a teenage girl after her first kiss, the first thing she did was rush to tell her best friend.

She told Cat everything, at first Cat was surprised, then got excited for Naledi as well, Cat knew more than anybody how much Naledi loved Alex and how she blamed herself for his death so this was great news, even though she was still confused.

They started talking about the topic excitedly, too excitedly. She even told Cat about their promise to meet 10 years later, discussing what she should wear and everything like she was going on a first date.

The two of them didn't notice a maid listening to their conversation. That maid disappeared shortly after.

And now, the day was drawing near. Naledi left her seclusion and went to her room. Even before she could shower and change clothes Cat rushed in, reeking of strong wine.

She didn't even knock or greet her even though they haven't seen each other in months. Although Naledi was in seclusion, she would occasionally come out for a few hours to eat and bath.

" So, have you decided what's you going to wear?" Naledi turned her head" Who is it?" She asked looking at the door.

" Oh it's Cat, well come on it." Cat ignored the sarcasm. Naledi smiled, she wasn't surprised, her friend had a very thick skin.

" Good morning to you too Cat and no, I haven't decided." Cat looked surprised. " Really? Why? You had like 10 years to choose and the date is only a few days away."

Naledi replied with a tired voice. " First of all, I spent most of that time cultivating and secondly." She opened her closet which only had two pairs of shoes, a single dress and a few sweatpants and t-shirts

" Wow, that's all the clothes you've got?" Cat asked with surprise in her voice. " Yes, these are the only clothes I've got but it's not like you're one to talk, you only have short, tight gym clothes. You walk around in a sport bra every single day."

" Yeah but I'm not the one with a date now am I?" Cat stood up and looked around the closet, " We should probably go shopping, I know, let ask Siri, she's really good at this stuff." Cat said excitedly.

Naledi looked offended, " hey, I can go shopping by myself, I have style too you know?" Cat giggled, " Yeah right." Naledi showered and then they went looking for Siri.

At the same time, a group of people were working around a river, amidst these people was a very handsome man whose body oozed with power.

" My dear old friend, I can't wait for your arrival." The man whispered to himself.
