As more orcs and Xnodals were discovered, battles raged all over the world. Back in Egypt.
Set and Ahmanet fought the group of 3 Xnodals. However the truth was, the fight was two against one, the other two Xnodals were useless.
Set faced the Xnodal leader while Ahmanet toyed with the other two. Their battle shook the dunes of the desert.
Sand rose to the sky like waves and attacked the Xnodal leader. He was a physically weak creature, his race fought by controlling puppet using their mental energy.
Amongst his people, he was considered quite talented which is one reason he was chosen for this mission.
He was able to control two puppets but even so, he was struggling to take down Set. Glass fragments flew at him like streaks of lights.
Giant hands of sands rose from the ground and tried to grab him. His massive iron puppet protected him, each of it punches shaking the desert and sending waves of send in every direction.
The more they fought, the more terrified he got. This world was getting stranger and stranger.
He couldn't understand how such powerful beings could exist in a world as young as this.
Not to mention the essence was pure, too pure infact. As the battle raged on, he made a decisive decision.
To retreat, he would grab his subordinates and use teleportation talisman to run, otherwise they might fall here.
However just as he was about to act, he heard the woman's voice in his ears. " Stop or they'll die." he paused.
He turned to look and saw scorpion stingers pressed straight against his subordinates necks. He thought about running away and abandoning them.
Normally he would have but one of those was his daughter, he couldn't leave her, after losing his wife, she was the only family he had left.
He sighed and surrendered. He knew the terrible fate that awaited him, after all humans were famous for their unmerciful nature.
They were very protective of their own but cruel beyond measure to their enemies. Chains of sand bound his body and he was helplessly dragged away.
----------------------------------------------------------
West of Texas shook, explosions more powerful than any nuclear bomb filled the air, mushroom clouds covered the sky. Sword slashed cleaved the land creating massive ravines.
John, his deputy Sarah and the silver knight fought the orc 3 on one yet the fight was evenly matched for the most part.
John clicked his tongue, " This big fella is more troublesome than I thought." Sarah nodded with heavy breaths.
The knight's armour was now dented with sword marks over it. He felt a pang of pain in his heart. This armour was a very expensive artefact.
He grabbed his claymore with both hands, this was his vessel. Lightning danced around it turning the claymore bright blue.
Sarah's horse neighed and ran around the orc. It left a trail of mist with every step covering the area with a veil of thick mist blinding the orc.
She ran behind him while John fired a bullet at him. The bullet cut through the mist like a ray of light.
However the orc cut it in two, before it could react the two halves exploded on it face sending it reeling back.
However it wounds healed in less than a second. All three of them clicked their tongues in annoyance.
This is how the fight went, they weren't exactly at a disadvantage but his healing factor made it hard for them to take him down.
The orc's sword glowed brown and he swung it down like a guillotine. A sharp sword slash flew at them splitting the ground apart in the process.
The knights swung his own sword in response, lightning flickered as the claymore met the crescent slash.
A shockwave of wind and lightning spread out ripping the ground apart. He was sent flying back coughing up blood.
Had it not been for his armour and soul force he would've suffered a more grievous wound.
John used that opportunity to shoot hundreds of bullets in a split second. They flew at the orc like streaks of lights bending and twisting through the air.
The orc ran around dodging them, they chased after him like honing missiles, exploding behind him like bombs.
He slashed some of them with his sword causing them to explode mid air. The explosions caused wounds to appear all over his body but they healed immediately after.
Just as he jumped to dodge another bullet, a flaming hoove hit him on the chest sending him crashing on the ground.
The perpetrator was a red horse with flaming hooves. This was John's pet, a demonic fire horse.
The fire horse ran back to John. The orc stood up, he was about to attack again when the mist around him surged and twisted, " Mind Prison." He heard the woman whisper.
The world shifted in his eyes, he found himself standing on a large cattle field. He knew this was an illusion but his low mental strength made it hard for him to break out of it.
His will churned and an image of a black one horned orc briefly appeared behind. The illusion broke but before he could react, he found himself bound by a lasso.
The lasso glowed gold, " KNEEL." a voice shouted in his head. His knees hit the ground, he felt like a mountain was pressing on him.
He gritted his teeth and tried to use his will to break through, however this ability was a bit special.
It targets your mind directly, it was a battle of mental energies, while it's possible to break through using will, it was much harder.
Your will would have to be significantly stronger than your opponents. While his was strong, it wasn't much stronger than Sarah's.
Then he found a gun pointed to his head and s sword to his neck. He tried to stand up. " Ah ah ah, I wouldn't do that if I were you big guy. If you move,my finger might just slip."
----------------------------------------------------------
Another fight ended on another part of the world. Pulse and Goldi who were currently on South America defeated two orcs and captured them alive.
The fight was more gruesome than expected, they had to rely on Pulse's frequency ability to disrupt their regeneration ability.
The two of them were covered in their own blood as well but they were happy, information from these orcs would certainly be more valuable than one from the Xnodal.
" That shitty brat will have to thank me now." Pulse said with a grin. Goldi sighed, " That's the king of beasts you're talking about you know?
But you're right, that bray will certainly have to compensate us for this. My old bones and heart can't handle things like this, I almost died."
As more orcs and Xnodals were defeated and captured, the humans and beasts relaxed a bit, at least those who didn't know these were just scouts, the real threat was on it way.
Naledi on the other hand was probably one of if not the most anxious person on earth right now. The dreadful feeling never left her, it just grew worse.
She had evacuated over 60 percent of the population. Unfortunately the teleportation array had a limit on how many can use it at once.
She was blowing through essence stones like water but she didn't have time to care about money right now.
As the people were evacuating she stopped and her body shook. She looked east, " He's here." She whispered.

Note: Sarah's weapon is not a whip,it's a lasso. Also to those wondering about the measurement of time, yes, all worlds share the same time measurements,it will be explained later why that is.
