Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 186: Naledi Vs Ogaba(1)

Naledi stood up and took to the skies. From the distance she saw an army approaching. The others appeared around her.

When they sensed the aura of the person Infront, they tensed. She turned to look at them.

" Speed up the evacuation." Aira shook her head. " We're already going as fast as we could.

The teleportation formation cannot handle a larger load." Naledi's sword appeared in her hand.

" Then I'll hold them back, you retreat." Cat growled in protest. Naledi looked at her with anger but cat didn't budge.

Naledi's eyes softened, " Please." She whispered in a begging tone. Cat knew her friend best.

She had never seen her friend like this before. She was caught by surprise but she listened.

" Fine I'll go, but you better come back." Naledi smiled and nodded. They all turned and flew back to the city.

The evacuation proceeded. Naledi flew towards the army and stood a few hundred metres Infront of them.

The army stopped marching. The red skinned giant took a step forward. " Interesting, how could such a young world give birth to some one of your power?"

She pointed her sword at him. " Leave or don't blame me for what happens next." The man gave her a strange look then laughed out loud.

His voice shook the air and pushed back the falling snow around him. " I can tell you're strong.

While I can't tell the exact grade of your vessel, I can feel it must be high. If you had more time you might've posed a threat to me.

Unfortunately, your realm is still too unstable, you will not win. Surrender peacefully and I swear to spare your life.

And if you serve me well, I can ensure you live a good life." He licked his lips as his lecherous eyes scanned her body.

She felt him undress her with his eyes and disgust bubbled inside her. However she didn't act, not yet.

She needed to buy time but how, she had never been the best at talking, especially when angry. She was glad Cat wasn't here or she would've attacked this red skinned bastard by now.

" How could I surrender when I don't even know who you are or what you want?" He started laughing again.

" I am the great warrior Ogaba of the orc race and I'm here on the orders of the Boragg to conquer your world.

Now, introduce yourself female warrior." Naledi looked contemplative. " Before that, may I ask why you want to conquer our world, how would that benefit you."

He scratched his head, " I do not understand, we conquer because we're orcs, conquering is what we do."

" I see, so there's no tangible benefits to you conquest, merely the pleasure and satisfaction of it."

" We get slaves and land, I believe." Ogaba wasn't exactly sure. After all even though they have conquered multiple worlds, they still live in a desolate land of death.

He knew they enslaved others but he couldn't see any other benefits. He believed there were but he was too dumb to figure them out.

' He's as dumb as he looks. I need to keep him talking to buy more time.' she looked at him with a smile.

" To send you to conquer an entire world, you must be very impressive, truly a manly orc." She said flirtatiously.

She had never flirted with anybody but Alex. It felt disgusting but she had to. She knew men like this.

As long as you stroked their ego, you could get them to do anything. As expected, he smiled happily and started flexing his muscles.

Naledi was about to continue when a short grey skinned man came closer to the orc and whispered something.

Aira had told him about these guys, apparently they were called Xnodals and they were a slave race of the orcs and were also smarter than orcs.

The orc's face changed and scowled with rage. " Are you tricking me? To buy more time for the others to run?"

He asked in a deep voice filled with killing intent. Naledi wanted to continue lying but her own pride stopped her.

Not to mention she really had no idea how to flirt, she knew if she continued she would mess up in two words.

So she dropped the act. Her aura changed and became sharper. Unable to use any of her abilities or image, she could only depend on her body.

" Enough games human, surrender or die." The orc roared. In response she pointed her sword at him.

" Come, you ugly beast." He growled, being called a beast was infuriating to him but to be fair, Naledi really thought they were members of the beast race with their horns and all.

Ogaba took out a flaming axe and lunged at her. He left afterimages in his path, his steps cracked the ice below and he reached her in a blink of an eye.

His massive flaming axe dropped on her, she jumped to back to dodge. The axe shattered the ice below and sent ice fragments flying everywhere like bullets.

Before Naledi could react he appeared behind her. ' So fast' she thought. The axe cut through the air intending to cut her in half.

She flipped and it passed right below her. The wind pressure from the swing pushed her back hundreds of meters away.

Although Naledi had a divine vessel, she was still human. The only reason she appeared to be stronger and faster than most of her opponents was because of her pure essence.

She could use her incredibly pure and dense essence to buff her physical stat, it's like wearing a suit of armour made of energy.

That makes you faster, stronger and more durable but her actual body is still much weaker.

Now unable to use her essence without damaging her soul, her physical limits were showing.

She was much weaker than this orc physically. As soon as she touched the ground he appeared Infront of her like a red blur.

The temperature around him was so high the snow turned to rain and the ice below started melting for hundreds of metres around them.

However she had noticed something, although he was strong, he was just a brute. His attacks packed a lot of power but they were simple and lacked any art.

As the axe came for her neck, she crouched allowing it to pass above her. A few strands of her hair were cut off and burnt into ash.

While crouching she swung her sword and spun on her knees and appeared behind him.

He stood still and looked at his leg. A sword wound had appeared there. The wound was frozen preventing him from healing fast enough.

Although she couldn't use her essence, her vessel itself was still incredible cold and each wound caused by it freezes over.

She grinned, she was about to attack when a mountainous aura pressed on her causing the ice below her feet to crack.

" Interesting, it seems I underestimated you." She tensed and tightly clasped her sword.

His body started steaming. The snow and the ice melted forming a pool below him.

The pool also started boiling. " Body Art: Fiery God Form." His body flickered and he disappeared.
