Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 242: Welcome to Divine Dojo Hell

Garion clapped his hands sharply.

"Alright! Stop complaining and get ready!"

Dozens of disciples flinched like soldiers reacting to a commander's shout.

Garion lifted his hand and pointed at a crate beside him.

"Drink your [Demonic Creatine]."

A collective groan filled the hall.

"AGAIN?!"

"MY TONGUE IS STILL NUMB FROM YESTERDAY!"

"MASTER, PLEASE HAVE MERCY!!"

But they could only go and take the supplement bottle.

And now that all 450 had officially changed their cultivation paths... It meant they had already joined the regular God Gym routine.

Valtor chugged his in one go, screaming instantly.

Seira's eye twitched as the burning spread through her throat.

Mersha simply nodded. "Still warm and tasty."

The outer disciples, however...

"HOT!!!"

"WHY IS IT LIKE DRINKING LAVA?!"

"MY VEINS ARE GLOWING! IS THIS NORMAL?!"

"HELP, SENIOR BROTHER RYNAR, MY TONGUE IS NUMB!"

Rynar smirked. "Yup, normal."

Rynor slapped someone's back. "Congratulations, you're one of us now."

Garion waited until the screaming settled, then raised his hand again.

"Good. Now listen up."

He gestured around the enormous divine chamber.

"Not only was the cafeteria upgraded. This hall, both the old training hall and the old learning hall, was fused into the new [Divine Dojo]."

Disciples looked around with wide eyes.

Garion continued.

"In this hall, you can learn and train your body at the same time."

He pointed left.

"That's the library. Floating books. Auto-organized. They teach you everything from anatomy to mana theory."

He pointed right.

"That's the cadaver room. Don't scream. You'll still be using it."

Half of the disciples did scream anyway.

He pointed forward.

"Every machine in this dojo is also brand new, and each one has an auto function, meaning it auto-adjusts to the PERFECT weight for each of you."

Everyone froze.

"…Perfect… weight?"

"That sounds wrong."

"That sounds VERY wrong."

"M-Master, please explain."

Garion turned around and walked toward the center of the dojo.

"No need to explain. You'll feel it soon."

The disciples' faces turned pale.

Valtor clenched his fists, excited. "I LIKE THIS!"

Seira sighed deeply. "…Of course you do."

Mersha tilted her head. "If it adjusts to our strength… doesn't that mean it gets stronger the more we train…?"

Arden nodded from the side, calm as always. "Yes. Exactly."

Every disciple shivered.

Garion smirked without looking back.

---

Dahlia stretched her arms and wandered toward one of the newly upgraded machines.

"This one," she said, tapping the bar proudly, "is basically the squat machine. I use it all the time."

The disciples gathered around her, curious and nervous.

Valtor leaned forward excitedly. "Senior Sister, test it! Show us!"

Seira crossed her arms. "Let's see how this 'auto-adjust' works."

Mersha nodded with sparkling eyes. "Go, Senior Sister."

Dahlia smirked. "Alright then. Time to see what this Divine Dojo is hiding."

She ducked under the glowing bar, placed it across her shoulders, and took a deep breath.

"Okay… squat."

She lowered her body smoothly, and her expression stayed relaxed.

The disciples watched closely.

"How is it, Senior Sister?" one asked.

Dahlia stood back up, blinking."…It's light."

The disciples gasped.

Dahlia shrugged and went down again.

"See? Easy," she said with a confident grin.

But then... when she went for a third squat, her smile vanished.

"Huh?"

She lowered herself again and felt the sudden shift.

"It just got heavier."

Seira raised an eyebrow. "Maybe you're imagining it."

Valtor smirked. "Or you're getting weak."

"Shut up," Dahlia said, going down again.

THUD.

She froze halfway.

"WAIT. WHY IS IT THIS HEAVY NOW?!"

Valtor burst into laughter. "Hahaha! Senior Sister's dying!"

Seira frowned. "This change is too fast…"

Mersha tilted her head. "The bar is glowing more."

Dahlia gritted her teeth and slowly stood up.

"Okay… now it's heavy."

She looked at Arden desperately. "Why?! It was light a second ago!"

Arden was totally unfazed. "Most likely…"

He pointed at the machine's side panel. "That was the automatic warm-up phase."

Dahlia blinked. "Warm-up…?"

Arden nodded calmly.

"Yes. While you were doing your first few squats, the machine analyzed your body while warming up. Once your body was warmed up, it automatically increased the weight to your optimum training level."

Dahlia looked down at the bar and squeaked, "OPTIMUM?! THIS FEELS LIKE LIFTING A HOUSE!"

Valtor roared, laughing. "HAHAHAHA! DIVINE DOJO IS BRUTAL!"

Seira nodded slowly. "This auto-adjust system is… terrifyingly efficient."

Mersha raised her hand. "Does it get heavier again if you get stronger?"

Arden smiled. "Yes. It updates every set."

Dahlia's eyes widened in horror.

"EVERY SET?!"

Arden nodded. "Correct. It will always match your improvement."

Dahlia nearly collapsed. "Oh great… there's no cheating anymore…"

Garion appeared behind her, smirking.

"Exactly. Get stronger or get crushed."

Every disciple shivered.

Dahlia finally stood up straight and pointed at the machine like it betrayed her.

"This thing… this evil machine… is going to destroy me."

Garion laughed and then turned toward the smallest figure in the room.

"Mersha."

She blinked and pointed at herself. "Me?"

Garion nodded and motioned with his hand. "Come with me. I want to ask you something."

Valtor looked confused. "Huh? Why her?"

Seira narrowed her eyes. "She didn't do anything wrong."

Mersha just nodded nervously. "Um… sure, Master."

She followed Garion as he walked out of the Divine Dojo and went to the cafeteria.

Mersha looked around, confused. "Um… Master? Why are we here? Are we… eating again?"

Garion shook his head and gestured for her to sit. "I want to ask you something important."

Mersha sat down obediently, legs swinging slightly.

Garion crossed his arms. "About the supplements. Tell me the truth. How is the effect?"

Mersha thought for a moment, tapping her chin. "The effect is very good. My muscles feel stronger. My mana moves faster."

She paused. "The side effects are… a little bad. It burns. A lot."

Garion nodded. "And the taste?"

She smiled. "It's not bad. The bitterness is normal. I had worse in my clan."

Garion chuckled. "Right. But for others, the taste is terrible."

Mersha nodded politely. "They cried."

Garion smirked.

"That's the point. The terrible taste motivates them. If they drink something that painful, they'll train harder so they don't feel like they wasted that suffering."

Mersha tilted her head. "Ah… so it's psychological training."

"Exactly."

She looked around again. "So… what are we doing here now?"

Garion leaned closer, eyes shining.

"Mersha."

"Yes, Master?"

"I want you," he said slowly, "to help me improve the supplements."

Mersha froze.
