After stunning the Marksman with the spell [Nemure], something Aegon made himself, he used a Common-Rank Skill, [Mad Charge].
A solid attack landed on his head from the Turret, sending sparks of pain, but he ignored it and slammed into both the Healer and Marksman, pushing them out of the Turret's range.
Using the momentum, he also got out, but by then he got hit twice, bringing his HP bar to only 40%. But he still smiled, as if it was worth it.
As usual, Elara understood his intentions in an instant, striking a set of blue illusory arrows at the Marksman. The man was already stunned twice by Aegon and before he could recover, Elara stunned him a third time.
Aegon felt a little sympathy for him. After all, he hated CC skills the most while playing MOBA games, so he could understand the man's frustration.
'Sorry mate. But you shouldn't have chosen him as companion.'
In the next second, three arrows made of dense blue light, like moonlight, struck deep in the Marksman's chest, killing him instantly as he vanished into particles, leaving the Healer alone.
Everything happened so fast he couldn't even react properly and by the time he did, Xavier cast a slowing spell on him, then bound him in light chains.
"Damnit! My mana pool is so little," Xavier cursed, as he came forward and then began healing Aegon.
Looking over his shoulder, he noticed his light chains disappearing and clicked his tongue, "The spell's effect doesn't last here."
"Rules are rules!" Aegon said, as he put his hand on the ground. In the next second, several chains made out of pure darkness wrapped around the Healer's limbs.
Xavier blinked before muttering, "I hate you!"
"Thanks!" Aegon chuckled, as he stood up and went over to the bound Healer, a lean young man clad in white robes. His face filled with fear gave Aegon a feeling that he was a noble.
Elara stood some distance away, her beautiful emerald eyes keeping a fierce gaze over their surroundings for an ambush. Sensing his gaze, she gave a nod before looking away.
'As strict as ever about your duties,' Aegon shook his head before focusing on the Healer. He crouched near him and smiled, "Hello! Do you recognise me?"
"W-Who doesn't recognise you?" The man stuttered, still trying to get out of the chains.
"Noice! Then do you recognise my friend over there?" Aegon asked, as Xavier joined him.
Seeing his face, colour drained from the Healer's expression as he realised his situation. Still, he remained stubborn as he said, "N-No."
"Bastard!" Xavier cursed, but held himself back.
"Ah! So we're playing that game?" Aegon chuckled, patting the Healer's cheeks lightly. "What was your name again? Patrick, right?"
"Yes." The Healer nodded, though his mouth moved more but they couldn't listen.
"Patrick, dear Patrick. You see, I grew up learning one principle very well. My Opa and Xiu both ingrained it in my bones." Aegon said, still smiling but his cold eyes said something else. "Return ten times what others give us."
[...Host, is that pun on me?]
'Perhaps.'
[I am grateful.]
'No, you're not.'
[That's also truth.]
Aegon stared down at Patrick and said, "If someone shows me kindness, I return them my respect and kindness even more. But if someone dares to become my enemy and harm what's mine, then I'll return it ten times too."
His nail scratched against Patrick's cheek, as the young man shivered visibly. Smiling, Aegon said, "You should have thought twice before laying hands on my friends."
"L-Lies! You're slandering me!" Patrick cried out. "I didn't do anything. You're just targeting me for no reason, even breaking the rules of this game. You don't have any proof."
"Buddy, that's where you're wrong!" Aegon said calmly, but it only frightened the man further. "The most unreasonable woman in this world raised me, so do you seriously think I'm reasonable? That I need proof to do what I want to do?"
He shook his head in disappointment and clicked his fingers, as more chains appeared in the place of the disappearing ones.
"I'm a vindictive person, Patrick." Aegon said, his voice deathly cold. "You should never lay your hands on Aegon Valeria Augustus's loved ones. You'll learn that today. Just like others."
"N-No! Wait! Aegon! Please hear me out!"
Aegon paid no attention to him. Instead, he turned his attention to the sides and said, "Rosa!"
[ON IT!!]
A short man jumped out of the bushes, his speed fast as he closed in on Aegon rapidly. But before he could do so, a figure wrapped in a lightning mantle slammed into him, slitting his throat in two swift attacks.
On the sides, the mage also revealed herself but seeing the scene before her, especially Aegon's indifferent face, she screamed and ran away.
"You traumatized poor girl!" Rosa laughed seeing that and said.
"If your powers are completely useless against someone, even you'll feel terrible," Aegon shrugged. "So I can understand her."
"No, I can't understand because I'll just find another way to kill them," Rosa said, her tone showing how serious she was.
Aegon gave her a look before turning towards Xavier, "You know what to do, right?"
"Yes!" Xavier said, looking down at Patrick somberly. "I'm usually forgiving, but recently, I promised them to change. I can't go back on it."
Aegon smiled seeing that as he turned towards Elara and said, "Keep him company, please?"
"He needs it!" Elara replied calmly. "I'll be here."
"We'll go and conquer the Ash Domain then!" Aegon said, turning towards Rosa. "Let's go!"
With that, the two of them took off, running towards the other end of the shallow stream. It was where the Hydra was going to spawn and also where Cali was.
"Will he be fine?" Rosa asked, losing her usual teasing tone. "You know, he has the softest heart of all of us. He's too kind for this stuff."
Aegon couldn't deny her words. Even if Xavier sometimes liked to pretend, he really had a soft heart and gentle personality. Asking him to take revenge like this was cruel.
"It's his decision!" Aegon replied, trusting his brother-like friend. "He chose this and I'll support him."
Rosa remained silent for a second, before laughing out loud, "Then, I'll wait for the day you support me like this, Aegon."
Aegon's eyes shook, as he turned towards her but she had already run further away. He mulled over her words, realising this was the first ever time she called him by his name.
"You're my friend too, Rosa."
