10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 161: Eliminating Gabriel

The Hydra, a giant purple creature with several vicious serpentine heads roaring to the heavens, slammed its spiky tail against Rosa. She rolled forward, escaping the impact site and then struck one of its heads, slicing it off from its body.

This sight greeted Aegon when he arrived at the location. He wasn't surprised by Rosa's performance, as the Hydra only looked scary, but was the easiest to kill in this game.

Well, except for the normal creeps.

'Now then, let's kill you first.' Aegon thought, glancing at Gabriel trying to catch up to him.

All of a sudden, he changed his trajectory and ran towards Gabriel who swung her staff forward in response. A flutter of yellow birds crossed the distance rapidly, surrounding his area before diving down.

"Winter Veil!" Aegon muttered, as his surroundings blurred because of mist forming all around him. Small frost particles blocked the flame birds before dissipating along with them.

He didn't reduce his speed in the slightest as Gabriel once again launched a giant pillar of Phoenix flames at him, barely leaving him any place of escape.

'This should be her strongest attack for now.' Aegon guessed, as they had killed minions to level up before. 'Still, she probably has some more things in her arsenal.'

He didn't dodge the pillar. Instead, he slammed his feet down heavily, muttering, "Crystal Step!"

Wherever he passed, a glassy film-like frost formed beneath on the ground, making everything slippery and slowing down people. But for him, it increased his speed even more.

However, that only brought him closer to the pillar, which confused Gabriel but he just smiled and punched down, shattering the glassy film.

His cold voice rang around.

"Infinite Ice Wall!"

A thick ice wall jutted out of the ground on his command, growing upwards as if it wouldn't stop till infinity. Its coldness turned the surrounding temperature lower, even affecting the Snow Domain, as if it stirred awake because of it.

The pillar of Phoenix Flames impacted the wall, as if a meteor had struck, leaving behind cracks, but nothing else happened. The walls grew infinitely, so the newer parts outgrew the damaged ones.

Aegon didn't feel happy about his accomplishment, as he just calmly analysed his situation before going around the wall to dash forward at the Princess once again.

'My mana pool depleted so quickly with that.'

The Princess had her jaw dropped to the ground in shock, as she couldn't even react to him properly. But he knew she must have something prepared if someone managed to get close, so he simply stopped a short distance away and smiled.

His hand raised as he muttered, "Last of my Mana pool for you. Ice Prison!"

The air solidified into a fractured cube of ice around Gabriel, as several ice spikes jutted out from its inner surface, intending to skewer her from all sides.

Just then, a translucent shield burst out of her gown, protecting her from the spikes. It also brought her back to reality, as she asked, still reeling in shock, "What is this ice?"

"Surprised?" Aegon grinned, as he clenched his hand, trying to crush her shield. "It's a perfect counter to my Eternal Flames, so I thought it should work against Phoenix Flames too. Guess I was right."

His ice wasn't just any ordinary ice. It formed from the Mythical Rank Ice Mana Circulation Technique, something that didn't even exist in this world. It even countered his Eternal Flames, so he knew it would work.

Gabriel's gaze towards him had changed by now. He couldn't recognise the emotions in her eyes, but it surely replaced her arrogance, as she said, "You're a monster who shouldn't exist."

"Unfortunately for you and many others, I do exist," Aegon said, clenching his hand into a tight fist, as the spikes tore through the shield, crushing Gabriel from every side.

As she turned into particles, Aegon thought, 'She's a tough opponent.'

For any normal 5-Star Mage or even Knights, she would be a nightmare. Her title of genius was justified, but sadly she met Aegon as her opponent, the man who carried counters to everything in his arsenal.

'Fuck!'

Aegon's instincts tingled as he hurriedly dodged to his right, barely escaping sharp shots of five knives aimed at his vital parts.

He cursed his luck, as his body felt weak after so much fast movement against Gabriel. He couldn't even use any spells anytime soon.

He thought about using his Soul Cultivation, but discarded that thought instantly and withdrew a set of rainbow-coloured flags. He threw them towards the Hydra and in the next moment, cold metal pressed against his neck.

Aegon had already sensed the incoming attack, but let it be because of other important matters.

Just like that, his head slipped off his neck, as he felt a sharp pang of pain assaulting his mind. In the next moment, he found himself stuck in his starting point with a timer ticking before his eyes.

The barrier was up and would only lower once the timing was over.

He sat down and asked, "How is it going, Rosa?"

He didn't get an answer for a while. Instead, he received an announcement in that same monotonous voice again.

[The Snow Domain has killed the Hydra.]

"Haha!" He laughed, as his plan had worked. His sacrifice wasn't in vain.

The flags he threw were carriers of a Rune Formation. A barrier Rune Formation to be exact. Making portable rune formations was toug, more so because only a RuneMaster would know where to place them properly.

Those flags dug deep around the Hydra, creating a barrier around it which imprisoned Rosa along with the Hydra. But that was fine too because his goal was to keep the enemy's Jungler away from the Hydra.

Now, the Hydra was slain by his Jungler and they gained a lot of EXP, gold and even a shield.

He was Level 4 now, which meant he could bring out fourty percent of his strength. And he was different than others, as all of his Pathways were affected by the seal but that also meant his leveling up resulted in a much greater power up.

He smiled, clenching and unclenching his fist, "This is fun. Didn't think I would actually enjoy fights."

In a few seconds, the barrier was off so he took a step forward and shouted, "Conquer the Ash Domain!"
