10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 162: I Will Take On All Five Of Them

The first clash between the two Houses showed clearly how evenly matched they were, contrary to everyone's expectations. Even if Gabriel's team was filled with Rank 5 players, Aegon's team was matching them despite being lower ranked.

Cali was absolutely demolishing the enemy's Fighter every single time. The EXP lane did the best, as Aegon's team gained a lot of EXP from there.

The only reason she got killed a few times in the following match was because of the Assassin. She was a skilled one, as she relied heavily on her knives.

[Rosa: How is she basically teleporting around? She's too fast!]

"Her knives have a special imprint," Aegon replied calmly. "She probably exchanges her location with those knives, making it appear as if she's teleporting. Well, technically that is teleporting."

He had spent a good chunk of the match trying to understand how her magic worked. As someone who spent over a decade learning basics and had perfect memory, it didn't take long for him to deduce its working.

His team was waiting for that too, so they had been quite passive. Except for Cali, who still hammered down on the Fighter even if she was killed.

Aegon didn't blame her. She already had an inferiority complex because of her situation a while ago, so the Fighter just reminded her of it by his misogynistic views.

So, even if it killed her, she made sure the Fighter died in much more brutal ways. That was also why the enemy's Assassin leveled up quickly.

[Cali: So, we need to keep track of her knives?]

"Yes. She's extremely fast, but only because of those knives. Keep track of them and you'll know where she'll appear. It sounds easy, but she teleports between the knives extremely fast," Aegon said. "Also, she can trick us into thinking this and use other methods, so be careful. Gabriel and this Assassin are our top priority."

[Everyone: Understood!]

Those two were really his only problem. Rosa wasn't strong enough to contend against the Rank 5 Assassin, but she still played her role well.

In a way, Rosa and Aegon were the weak links of his team. But they covered it well.

On the other hand, the Tank and Marksman were busy getting skewered by Elara's arrows. She didn't use many skills or spells, but even her normal attacks were deadly, especially with how fast she delivered them.

In a matter of seconds, she could send a hundred arrows easily at her peak. Even the Tank had to use his enchanted shield to take her attacks and their Marksman couldn't do much either.

Elara and Xavier learned their lesson well from their first kill, so they stayed away from the Tank's hook. Even if he tried, Xavier used his Nerve Arrow to deflect it and since it seemed to be a skill, the Tank couldn't use it regularly either.

Xavier and Elara proved to be a much more detailed combo than Aegon had expected. Even against two Rank 5 players, they easily stood on advantage.

Especially since they knew their places well. Xavier didn't even try to take limelight, and focused on throwing CC at enemies and healing Elara while she butchered down everything like a goddess of death.

Except she looked like an angel.

This was how one of the most anticipated matches went, as both teams fought with their all, taking down each other's turret. But it was mostly just Aegon's team taking down the EXP Lane and Gold Lane while Gabriel pushed on the Mid Lane.

Aegon's team took down the Hydra once more, but the next one Gabriel's Assassin stole it. The following Knight was also taken by them.

Aegon was cleaning the minions, when he sensed a flurry of shots coming at him, so he dodged while preparing for the attack. But then he felt another premonition and his movements suddenly slowed down, letting an anchor grip onto his body.

He was pulled to the side, as a mighty hammer suppressed his movements further. However, his physical stats were higher so he wasn't going to die so quickly.

Just as he escaped the suppression effect and he prepared to counter, a pillar of flames descended upon him from the skies, as if the heavens themselves were punishing him.

The flames didn't kill him. They couldn't kill him. But the Phoenix aspect of them burned his soul, sending a deep coursing pain throughout his being.

'Aghh! So Soul attacks count? Fuck you dead god!'

Just as the pillar died down, the familiar metal blade sliced off his head, making his consciousness return to the base, imprisoned in the barrier.

He sighed, massaging his head and said, "Tank, Jungler and Mage. All three are in the Mid Lane."

[Elara: Just as I suspected. The Tank was taking more time than usual in coming here, but he reached pretty fast there.]

"I didn't even see them coming, so they likely used some invisible charm or artefacts or something. Whatever it was, it hid them and also increased their speed," Aegon said, sitting down.

[Cali: They targeted you personally, huh. I guess even they are annoyed by your versatility.]

Aegon smiled. He had indeed annoyed his enemies a lot. Since his power alone wasn't enough to contend against them, he used his versatility and threw a vast variety of spells coupled with many skills.

Over the years, he had gotten quite a number of skills from the system, not to mention the ones he learned.

His enemies could never be prepared or guess what was about to come for them. Especially since he shared Affinities with way too many things.

"But they didn't target me," Aegon said with a shake of his head. "They plan to end this now."

Right then, the Knight that Ash Domain stole spawned on their base. It charged down the Mid Lane along with the enhanced minions.

"They plan to destroy our base through Mid Lane. They have the Knight to take damage anyways," Aegon said, smiling. "Quite an impressive plan."

[Elara: I'm returning to the Base as fast as I can.]

[Rosa: Me too!]

"No! No! Don't come here!" Aegon rejected immediately and said. "I also plan to end this now. So, push forward and destroy their base."

[Cali: But...]

"No buts. Do as I said," Aegon shook his head and said. "I'll protect our base. From the Knight. And surely from the five of them. Let 'em come and get some."
