10x Rewards: Becoming Invincible With My Sign-in System

Chapter 165: Miracle Invoker

"She's good with her hands. The amount of training required to reach such agility and accuracy is admirable."

Arthur nodded in acknowledgement at Elara's display of archery.

"I'm sure she'll be happy to know Marshall Arthur praised her," Theon said, smiling. "I heard it's rare to get compliments from you."

"It isn't. He just talks less while being on duty, so it feels like that," Liliana said, staring deeply at the giant screen. "That boy is also pretty good. Has good battle IQ, I would say."

"Indeed." Amon agreed. "Actually, he worked the hardest of them, except the princess maybe. His talent isn't that good, but he wants to keep up with monsters like Aegon and Calista. Impressive work from him."

"Now that's rare coming from you," High Duke Lannister said, giving him a side glance. "I might have to keep an eye on him then."

"I'm more interested in Aegon's conversation with the Princess," Amon said, rubbing his chin. "What did that brat do?"

"Nothing sane for sure," Liliana answered, smiling faintly. "Your dear disciple raised him. Surely, he inherited her pranking habits."

"Don't remind me," Amon instantly lost his smile. "That lass once changed all of my monocles with fake glasses. Can you imagine the audacity?"

"Haha!" Arthur laughed out loud. "There's definitely more to it, so out with it."

"I'm not telling," Amon then ignored them and said, "Looks like they're about to fight."

As the battle started, Rovan—who had been silently sitting beside them till now—muttered, "That flame..."

"Phoenix Flames," Liliana finished it and asked. "They aren't real, are they?"

"All Phoenixes are dead. Here at least," Rovan shook his head and said. "But there are still some places with their flames burning still. This isn't True Phoenix Flames, just a replica made through Affinity with Phoenix."

Just as he was about to say something, he saw Aegon using his Eternal Flames, and his eyes widened in surprise. "What are those flames? Why didn't Young Master mention anything about them?"

"They burn eternal," Amon said, adjusting his monocle, excited. "What a peculiar way of cutting the Concept of End. A masterpiece. Who even created these flames and how did he tame them?"

"With this, he isn't at a disadvantage at least," Theon said, genuinely happy for Aegon. "But it's still not enough to win against her."

"By the way, are you fine with her insults?" Lannister asked Arthur.

"It's children's matters," Arthur waved his hand and said. "If I began to beat kids for speaking against my family, what face will I have left?"

"You have any face left?" Liliana asked with no change in her tone.

"You know, it's really creepy when you say such stuff with your flat tone," Arthur sighed.

"What? I was just joking. Shouldn't you be familiar by now?"

"Then don't joke. You're scary with your jokes."

"And he's dead!" Theon commented, shaking his head. "He really had to say all that stuff before Cali?"

"Her talent is very good, but why does she give me Xiu vibes?" Liliana asked, confused.

"Because she looks up to my dear sister-in-law a lot," Theon answered.

Then, they watched as Aegon took down Gabriel before dying in the Assassin's hands.

"That ice..." Rovan frowned. "I seriously need a talk with Young Master."

"Blocking Phoenix Flames is impressive, but why are you so concerned?" Arthur asked, confused.

"If this ice was used by a 6-Star Mage, even my Vhagar would have failed in getting past that ice," Rovan answered, still concerned. "And it's familiar to me. If it's really that, then we need him at Mount Cereberion as soon as possible."

"The ice is that important?" Lord Lannister couldn't help but shift closer, hearing the discussion.

"Blocking a Dragon's Flames isn't something just anything can do," Liliana answered for him. "Also, you're missing the point. You should question how he is alive."

"Huh?" Rovan got confused.

"Actually this explains everything," Liliana said, narrowing her eyes. "He must have Awakened this ice at his Awakening, so the Dragon Queen herself came to help him with that."

"Wait! You..." Rovan's eyes widened in shock, so did the others who sat around them.

For more than a decade, the mystery of Heaven's burning remained unsolved. Everyone knew it was related to Aegon and the Dragon Queen, but nobody could understand what truly occurred back then.

They could only form guesses, like Aegon awakening something forbidden.

Hearing Liliana's deduction, however, they were convinced she was right. If the ice was really capable of blocking a Dragon's Flames, then it was entirely possible that it went out of control during awakening.

There had been records of a higher-ranked Affinity suddenly shooting to its full potential during the awakening.

"Then, even she couldn't deal with it using her normal flames," Rovan said, fidgeting in his seat. "She had to use her Divine Dragon Breath. What is this ice?"

Arthur tapped on the floor, glancing at the High Dukes. "I hope this stays here."

"Are you threatening me, Marshall Arthur?" High Duke Lannister asked.

"If it comes to my family, I don't mind threatening anyone," Arthur said, releasing his aura of Rank 8 Knight.

"Keep it to yourself," High Duke Lannister settled down in his seat comfortably and said. "Besides, I like that boy. So you can rest assured."

Other High Dukes also nodded in agreement.

"Forget that," Liliana said, still having a thoughtful look on her face. "How is he alive?"

"Huh? Didn't you just say Dragon Queen helped in his survival?" Theon was even more confused.

"Lord Theon, you should know more about balance in this world than anyone here," Liliana said, turning toward him. "Tell me, can those Eternal Flames and this ice coexist?"

Theon froze, as he just realised the problem here. His head snapped back at the screen where Aegon was now killing minions and then helping his teammates.

"Now that you mention it," Amon's smile turned into a grin. "How did he manage to balance them? Not to mention his various Affinities? It doesn't make sense. Did the Dragon Queen give him some blessings?"

"No, that's impossible!" Rovan instantly denied it. His gaze toward Aegon turning somber. "Even she isn't capable of something like this. I honestly thought I knew him well, but now he feels like a stranger. Just how did he accomplish so much?"
