Chapter 173: A Marriage Proposal...Again?

Aegon could understand a little about Morgan from Luna's explanation. It wasn't the first time he was meeting a magic enthusiast, and his experience with all of them had been... quite something.

People called them by other names, like Magic Lunatics, for a reason. They were crazy about Magic and their desire touched the line of severe obsession.

So, he could understand Morgan somewhat.

He massaged his forehead and asked, "Does that last technique of mine fascinate her? Cause I can't use it again and again."

"No! That technique isn't magic. It might be achievable with Magic, but it wasn't Magic. I have desires to study it, but I know it is out of my league," Morgan spoke calmly once again. "What caught my attention was your Meteor Fall."

"Huh? It's just a Rank 4 Spell and if you want, I can give it to you." Aegon still couldn't understand why she seemed so excited about this.

"Clearly, you don't realize how interesting this is, Aegon Valeria Augustus," Morgan's smile once again turned deranged, as she stood up and laughed, spreading her hands.

"That Spell was modified, I could feel it. No way that's the power of a Rank 4 Spell. It doesn't end there. You even modified it to add those weird flames too. All while being a 3-Star Mage. This is what the epitome of Magic looks like, so I want to learn how you do this."

"O-Oh! You noticed it?" Aegon was a bit taken aback by her enthusiasm.

Morgan suddenly closed in on their distance, as she smiled face to face with him, "Of course, I did. There is no way the Spell accommodates those flames otherwise. How did you modify it? Which Sphere did you shift? Which Runes did you add? Where..."

"Back off!" Rosa's displeased voice interrupted her, as she pushed Morgan back.

Morgan didn't mind it, as she cleared her throat and returned to normal. Then she said, "So, do you like our proposition?"

"You really don't want to compete?" Cali asked, glancing at Luna. "It'll be fun and I'm sure Little Gon can help you even without this."

"Yeah, I don't mind." Aegon nodded. "I love magic, so exchanging pointers with House Freyja is actually helpful for me too."

"There's no need for that," Luna shook her head and said. "We aren't strong enough to face you, neither do we have brains like House Ares. We'll definitely lose, so it's better you save your energy for later matches."

"Indeed! If we're losing, then we want to lose to the top House," Morgan said in agreement. "So, can I conclude that you agree to our proposal?"

"Uhh, sure!" Aegon nodded after a bit of hesitation. "I'm also grateful to have the opportunity to work with you and House Freyja."

"People like you are always welcome," Morgan smiled and said. "And if you wish, we also have many beautiful girls."

Aegon turned speechless, not by her words but the two piercing gazes on him. He cursed mentally, 'How is this my fault?'

Fortunately, Luna came to his rescue as she said, "That's a forbidden zone, senior. Our Aegon is very gentleman like and has decided to dedicate his life and everything to the girl of his dreams. Whenever he finds her."

"Ohh! That's surprising!" Morgan exclaimed lightly, pushing her glasses up once again. "I heard he's a womanizer."

Aegon choked on his breath, as he asked in annoyance, "What the hell? Who said it?"

"Rumours. People say you have many women who you might wed to repopulate the House Valeria and spread True Valerian blood." Morgan explained. "Is that not true?"

"It is not," Aegon sighed, rubbing his forehead. "If the girl is giving her everything to me, then why should I be the hypocrite and spread my everything to multiple girls? That's cheating on her feelings."

On his sides, both Elara and Rosa seemed to melt as they smiled, before noticing each other's looks and glared at each other.

"Admirable! Will you become my mate?" Morgan asked, once again throwing everyone's mind in chaos. "I promise to dedicate my life to you just like I've done to magic. We can explore the realm of mysteries together till we die."

Aegon took a moment to understand that... someone had asked for his hand in marriage once again. Weirdly enough, he could see seriousness in her eyes which made him speechless.

He shook his head in response and said, "No! I'm sorry, but this is impossible."

"I see. That's a hard reality I have to face," Morgan nodded in understanding, still very calm. She placed her hand over her chest and said, "People lie a lot."

"What do you mean?" Xavier asked, amused by this whole situation.

"People say rejection hurts the most, but it's very minimal. Not comparable at all to the times when my experiments fail," Morgan replied, patting her chest. "Still, thanks for considering my proposal. I shall leave to cry for my rejection."

She bowed slightly and added, "See you later."

With that, she left the room, leaving everyone in stunned silence. Only Luna was eating pancakes with amusement dancing in her eyes.

"She's... something," Elara muttered after a while.

"Definitely!" Luna chuckled softly and nodded. "She spends way too much time buried in Magic, so her brain works a bit differently, but she's really kind and takes care of everyone well. She requested this also because of me, because she overheard me saying I don't want to fight you all."

"She's simple-minded, but that also means she doesn't think much before showing her kindness," Aegon said, guessing her personality.

It wasn't hard, as Morgan wore her personality on her sleeves. And Aegon had high experience dealing with such straightforward people.

"Yes, so don't think too much about her and her marriage proposal," Luna let out a chuckle thinking of it. "Anyways, I should also leave now."

She ate one more pancake before standing up and giving a thumbs up to Aegon, "Little Gon, your Pancakes are the best as ever. I love them."

"Thanks for the praise. I'll cook a celebration meal if we win!" Aegon smiled and said.

"Then, Good luck in beating everyone," Luna said.

Then, she gave everyone a hug including Rosa who was a bit weirded out before leaving the room.
