From a safe distance, Zyros watches as Dunstan steps out of the Storm chambers; after waiting for a few minutes, he continues moving to the Storm palace.
"Why is everyone here?" Zyros muttered to himself and double-checked on the number of gods present in the Storm chamber. "Not everyone."
Storm glanced at Zyros and rolled his eyes. "I'm not surprised to see you." He had been expecting Zyros and Zinnia, but the other gods—he had thought that they would ignore his Ghuoit trying to assassinate Lucian.
Zinnia stepped forward, her arms crossed over her chest as she held a questionable look on her face.
"Dunstan is going to figure out that something is wrong once he notices that a lot of you are missing from your palace."
Caspian snickered; he was the 3rd strongest amongst them, and the only reason he was in Storm's palace was simply because of curiosity. He didn't care much about if Lucian was assassinated or not; he only wanted to know why Storm went as far as using a celestial creature to kill a simple human.
"If you didn't want us to know, you should have put in effort to hide your secrets from us." Zinnia said. Although if Storm had messed with the holographic screen displaying the players, she would have noticed, it took a lot of magic to be able to deceive all the gods watching the players, and for this particular reason Storm didn't bother trying and put all his focus on making sure that Dunstan didn't figure out his secret.
"I'm acting based on Faye's vision." Storm thought back to Faye's vision and snorted at it. "I don't get what her vision is about, but she said that it isn't going to be good for us if that kid survives. So I'm doing everyone a favor they didn't ask for." He smiled.
"Does Dunstan know about Faye's vision?" Zyros asks, glaring at Storm. "The reason why I saw Dunstan upset earlier is because he doesn't approve of your actions, right?"
Eldric chuckled, "That guy is always angry."
"Zyros. What makes you think that I will act out on my own?" Storm asked, "Dunstan knows that I'm trying to kill that human boy; he gave me permission to do it after listening to Faye's vision."
Caspian laughed; he could tell that Storm was lying.
"Don't tell me you all are gathered here because you want to stop me from killing one insignificant human." Storm asks in a sharp tone, raising one brow up.
"Insignificant, and yet you failed to kill him on your first try." Thalric mocked. A smug smile on his face. "Later I will find out from Faye what this special vision is about; I'm sure it's just nonsense that's being misinterpreted by an idiot like you." He stepped out of Storm's chambers.
"I'm in support of your decisions to kill that human boy." Zinnia smiled up at Storm, and then her eyes swept over to the others' presence. "I'm sure that no one here cares about if you murder him or not. So we are all in agreement."
"It's wrong for us to hold a meeting and come to an agreement without Dunstan." Zyros said in irritation, his fist clenched in anger as he turned to Storm, "You said that Dunstan knows that you are trying to kill Lucian, so you won't mind if I ask him."
Zinnia stopped Zyros and seized him. She frowned when Zyros struggled against her grip. "You are going to stay with me for some few days, at least until Storm is done with what he wants to do."
"I knew it." Zyros gritted out, "You are lying." He tried attacking Storm, but he couldn't move because of Zinnia.
Storm smiled mischievously at Zyros's display; he didn't feel bad for Zyros.
Zinnia didn't want to use her ability against Zyros because it could easily be copied.
She tied Zyros and locked him in her chamber before returning to Storm.
"I wonder if Zyros's rank is going to go up after Lucian is dead? He would be able to cultivate his ability." Orion chuckled as a thought passed through his mind: "If that kid is part beast and part human, then does that mean Zyros's ability will become forever stained because of beast magic?"
Zinnia and the others laugh.
"Those disgusting dirty creatures." Cyrus added.
"Zyros's rank will move up once the kid is dead." Caspian voices out in a serious tone that stops the others from laughing. "Let's admit it, the human kid has potentials to be as strong as us. After his death and Zyros's ability returns to him, Zyros will have an unlimited copy ability; he might surpass me and you, Zinnia." Caspian smiled at the annoyed look on Zinnia's face as he continued, "Little Zyros, once he becomes strong, we won't be able to bully him anymore. And if he decides to take revenge; no one is going to stop him."
"There is no way that is going to happen." Storm's voice came out uncertain because there was a high chance of Caspian's words being true.
"It doesn't matter; Zyros can never be stronger than me." Eldric defended in a prideful tone.
"Zyros isn't the revengeful type." Orion chuckled, "And how can you ever think that a lesser human has the potential to be as strong as us? What nonsense." Orion shook his head and left Storm's chambers.
'Nonsense…huh?' Caspian smiled at his thought. He had a feeling that Storm's plan to kill Lucian would blow up in his face because of Dunstan.
Dunstan wasn't easy to deceive; if he was, Caspian would be number one among the gods.
"I can't wait." Caspian muttered to himself and laughed evilly in expectation of Storm's failure.
Storm glared at Caspian; he hated his eerie presence. He didn't think someone like Caspian deserved to be among them as a god.
"Don't bother yourself about him." Zinnia said in regard to Caspian, "He's not going to tell Dunstan." Although she kept her voice steady, she couldn't stop herself from thinking bitterly about Caspian's words. The possibility of something like Zyros becoming stronger than her because of a human boy was absurd.
