Chapter 85: Dunstan is watching

The holographic screen floating in front of Dunstan only showed Thorin and his team.

'That's not right.' Dunstan thought and then tried to use his magic to change the content to Lucian.

Another screen appeared in the air, displaying Lucian and his teammates, sleeping.

Dunstan frowned at the image; there was nothing wrong with sleeping, just that the way and manner in which they were sleeping had been the same for 3 days. It didn't make sense. At this moment, Dunstan realized that the screen displaying the players in his chamber had been tampered with.

"How many of you dared to go up to my chamber and tamper with the screen displaying the players?" Dunstan glared at the other gods that were gathered together in an open courtyard in the middle palace.

There was a middle palace in the heaven realm where the gods left their chambers and palace to gather together, most times to watch the game together or just simply to associate with the others.

Storm lowers his head and uses Thalric's body structure to hide himself. He had stopped letting so much rain fall in Hlasked because he didn't want Dunstan to suspect him.

"Don't watch the game alone." Orion lifted his wine to his lips and took a sip. "Come and watch with us." He said with a secret smile because the screen they were watching on had also been tampered with by collective magic; that way, Dunstan won't be able to pinpoint who was messing with the games.

Dunstan gave Orion a cold stare.

'Scary,' Caspian thought as he minded his business by turning away from Dunstan. He didn't join those who were brave enough to mess with Dunstan's holographic screen; he was just sticking around to watch how everything is going to blow up on Storm's face, along with the others who had helped him.

"Where is Zyros?" Dunstan asks. Not everyone is present in the middle palace, but he was starting to realize that he hasn't seen Zyros for a while.

"Zyros is in his chamber, watching the game." Zinnia lied in a calm tone; Zyros was still locked up in her chamber. She hasn't been torturing him but has been trying all sorts of ways to get Zyros to change his mind, even seduction, but nothing could work against Zyros.

"I don't know how many of you are involved in this, but I'm warning you, don't you dare change the content of the game again." Dunstan voiced out in a strict tone.

Storm scoffs to himself; it didn't matter what sort of punishment Dunstan would give if he was ever caught one day. Dunstan couldn't kill him or any of them; he wasn't allowed to.

'As long as I killed Lucian, I win,' Storm thought.

"Why are you so angry?" Thalric asked in a bored tone, "There are just a few humans remaining; the game is almost over. You got pranked a little. What is so bad about that?" He shrugged.

In a flash, Dunstan appears in front of Thalric, startling him in his seat. Storm also flinches back in surprise.

Dunstan moved his gaze at the two, studying them. He knew the game was almost over; he didn't need to be told. Something was going on behind his back; he could feel it. There were a lot of people involved, but how many? If he could just find two or three, then he would be able to figure out what was going on.

"Are you the one responsible?" Dunstan asked; the expression on Thalric's face gave him his answer. Although Thalric wasn't responsible, he knew who was. "Keep quiet all you want; I'm still going to find the truth."

"Of course you will." Zinnia gave a cruel smile. Lucian's situation wasn't about if Dunstan would find out; rather, it was about if Dunstan would be able to find out on time.

The tense atmosphere in the air begins to lessen after Dunstan walks away.

"You guys shouldn't push your luck too much." Caspian suggested, and he threw a grape into his mouth.

"Why are you here?" Zinnia questioned in an annoyed tone. "You aren't interested in helping out, but you always run your mouth. Why can't you just be silent like the others who don't care?"

"This is a free zone for everyone." Caspian said in a loud voice, No one had claims to the middle palace. "If you want to chase me away, then I guess I will have to go to Dunstan and let him know why you insist on chasing me away."

Storm let out an exasperated sigh, "Just let him do whatever the hell he wants. We are going to have to be extra careful from now on, since Dunstan is already alerted that we are messing with the game behind his back."

Eldric chuckled, "We are only giving you little help because it's sometimes fun to see Dunstan angry. You are the only one messing with the game, not us, so if caught, you and Faye are going to take the blame for it."

Orion snickers. "Dunstan is going to make them wish that they were dead."

"I won't let that happen." Zinnia lied after noticing the fear in Storm's expression. She still needed him, and until Storm had done what she wanted, he was still useful. "I will find a way to convince Dunstan that you were acting based on everyone's goodwill; that way you and Faye won't get punished."

Storm couldn't fully disregard his fear for Dunstan, but with Zinnia's support, he was sure that he had nothing to be afraid of. 'I'm going to make that kid wish that he had drowned in that river.' When he made his Ghuoit return, they all thought that Lucian was dead until they saw once again that he was still alive.

"I can't send my Ghuoit after that kid if Dunstan is watching."

"All we need to do is disregard Dunstan's words and keep tampering with the screen that displayed the game, right?" Zinnia asked with a mischievous tone.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" Caspian asks, his voice full of warnings.

"Make sure you don't fail this time, Storm." Zinnia stated coldly as she ignored Caspian.
