Shadow Weaver: Sole Heir Of The Night

Chapter 112: Untitled

Three silhouettes first blasted into the fortified barracks complex sending a shockwave through the building blasting open all the doors and windows.

The moment that happened a dozen others seamlessly flew into the several openings launching into action subsequently.

The goal was to seize and fortify this place as fast as they could.

"Go!!" The cloaked shade member in charge was called Talos, his words carried a wave to strength and eloquence.

His abilities were also in line with sonic, a tempo based skill that increased with the more power in placed into his attacks.

The moment his voice resounded everyone sprang into action some slaughtered the beasts around, exterminating every trace of them, others focused on barricading doors and placing torrents all over the place…

Meanwhile outside in the broader city, 5 figures engaged in a dance of death.

Despite having 4 tyrants fighting against it. The tyrant of rune city still held a very firm grip over the situation of the battle.

"White dazzle" master white barked as he suddenly shattered into particles of light each acting independently and striking directly at the deamon.

"Haaaaa, little shit!! Why did you kill yourself?" The horse type deamon neighed then suddenly disappeared from where it stood initially and sped away.

The deamon was most adapted to running away as fast as it could. That was the reason this fight was taking so long. It was extremely elusive.

"it took the bait!!" Suddenly master black barked as a chilling cold over took a particular area in the sky.

The deamon stood there, but didn't react, not because it didn't want to. Rather because it just couldn't.

The ice zone that had just been used against it had a sliver of the concept of time, not just retarding movements, but also the speed with which one moved.

In the far corner of the sky, the instructor from the snowfall family held in his hand an echo, and orb shaped treasure with snow within.

That echo was an echo from the vault of the snowfall family, a clear sign that this family firmly supported the take over of Galafray.

'Hmmm they are smarter than I thought…" the deamon smiled its thoughts running slow. However they were joking If they thought this alone could take it down.

"Yeeeee" from out of nowhere a minute breaking screech resounded from somewhere in the city as what seemed to be a misty light grew from the city area.

The mist quickly spread within a particular area and with a straight line moved towards them in the sky.

"Another tyrant, black with me!!" Master seth noticed the change and quickly adjusted. Breaking away from group to attack the mist.

At this level of power, a single variable in battle could spell the Doom of everyone involved.

The proper response was always necessary.

"Quickly kill the god damn thing before it breaks free!!" The snowfall instructor barked panic in his eyes as he barely held onto the reigned that held down the horse deamon.

"Okay!!" Black did hesitate as he pulled out a long rifle that seemingly came from a dark murky portal.

The rifle soon solidified glistening under the rays of the sun as it charged up.

"Die!!" He cursed, letting out one precise shot aimed directly at the beast's neck.

It connected successfully and burst through it causing the beast to whimper in pain as it's body fell to the ground rapidly.

It was a fatal hit.

"It's vitals are very weak, go help master seth" master black said to the snowfall instructor then quickly descended.

He still hadn't gotten a kill notification so it was clearly still alive. But its vitals were very weak, it just needed one more strike from him to kill it once and for all.

Unfortunately, master black was still quite new to this city and didn't quite know how things worked.

"That's one of my life lines, fucking weapon master!! I'll kill youz!!" Suddenly the creatures voice resounded from nowhere as its body began to rapidly heal.

"Fuck" Master black seeing this aimed his rifle once more at it and let out three shots In quick succession.

However none of them were able to connect as the creature seamlessly disappeared from sight.

"It's running" blacks gaze became dark as he gave chase following the horse deamon throughout the city

Soon though the creature came a halt in an open area where it neighed and struck the ground severally with its hoove.

"Let's go for a ride haaaa" the creature mocked flicking its tail as suddenly the entire city started to shake.

About 12 kilometers infront of the city, a quick sand hole suddenly appeared from out of nowhere, sucking sand into it. The hole slowly expanded for a good few seconds as maw became visible from it.

Roar!!!

Suddenly a gigantic sandworm as large as the city raised its head. Chains arted to its sides and attached directly to the city. Soon the part of the city previously submerged in the sand started to emerge as the city was pulled out and dragged across the sand.

"What the fuck??" Master black cursed as he looked at the mischievous look on the horse deamons face.

" welcome to Rune city, death awaits you" it neighed then sharply disappeared from view running deeper into the city with a look of mad excitement.

Back in the barracks, the shaking of the city brought several rooms to the ground and everyone looked in horror at the city sized sand worm in the sky.

If they didn't know better they would think this was an illusion….better yet, a dream,.

But realty was reality.

They were on a moving city.

"Everyone take cover, this is going to be a bumpy ride!!" Someone said laying flat on the ground beside a street. This was earthquake protocol, but this was more than an earthquake.

And everyone wanted to survive.

Time passed

"Whats the situation on the moving city?"

In the sky above orbit, a small council of leaders was being held in a secret room.

Two weeks ago when the exploration team lead by one of the vice Regents reached rune city. They had expected a fight.

A massive one infact

But no one, I mean no one expected that from the depths of the cities soil, a demi-god creature would suddenly raise its head and drag the entire City along with it.

It was far from what they had planned for, and the worst thing was? They couldn't interfere.

A strange forcefield had suddenly been erected around the city that stopped anyone above the rank of star weaver, limiting their ability to send in reinforcement.

As for the Grand Regent himself? He had nearly lost his life trying to kill that thing.

It was the worst situation all over the planet.

"We've been able to contact a few students from the institute, but not a word from the tyrants. They say they are fighting all day" one of the reporting officers said.

Rune city had become a very glaring spectacul that the rest of the universe seemed to enjoy laughing at them about. Even Weavetech had stopped instigating them just to laugh at them.

"It's obvious sir that the enchantments in the city is what's protecting it from your abilities. We just need to damage those enchantments well enough to allow you kill it." One of the vice regents, an elderly gentleman that looked to be older than master seth spoke. His voice carrying confidence in inkouss abilities.

It wasn't that inkous was weak, the enchantments on that city were just too strong.

"Easier said than done" Inkous laughed self deprecatingly.

The city wide enchantment was probably placed there by the god of their world. The Red God. Even he couldn't break it, how could the kids currently trapped In the city do so?

"There's also the matter of the gorge in the middle of the dark sea"

Someone else chimed in diverting their attention to another problem they were facing. This planet was a helllish landscape of trouble and death.

Whilst in Rune city,

"Oh, it's your turn today" a manly voice resounded a tiredness indescribable tinged in it.

"Yes master" Enzo smiled bitterly and he brought forward a pack of healing supplements and dropped them infront of master white.

It wasn't until the city starter moving that they realized its true nature and what they were up against.

From the buried side of the city, thousands of ungodly created rose from the dark corners and swarmed towards them.

They didn't just attack humans though, they attacked their fellow corrupted, killing all in sight.

However one thing was good here and it was that creatures didn't attack humans thar were weaker than them. They only fought those at the same rank or those who had gone out of their way to provoke them.

This also meant that all the tyrant class fighters from the institute were constantly fighting against everything that roamed in their general direction.

It was an exhausting sight to watch them fight all day and night.
