Federations reserved time capsule bank
At the top of a banner, written in clear luminous light, a series of words burned bright, a symbol of power and conformity.
The Federation was born from humanity's need to control the spiraling powers emerging from the human race. They had structure, power, and the influence to keep in check all other powers in human society.
Ranked first on earth… The Federation was a hegemon.
"PID," Enzo muttered, seated on a rotating chair in the middle of a large lobby.
One of the Federation's many structured organs was the federal banking system that dealt with time. Previously, this was solely controlled by Weavetech, as they were the ultimate supplier of time.
But with new advances, the Federation was able to form their own systems, not quite as good as Weavetech but good enough.
"Master Enzo?" A receptionist called out to Enzo from a counter table stretching across the entire hall. Immediately, Enzo went to her and spoke.
"I would like to open a time capsule account," he said promptly.
He already had an idea of what he needed from this interaction and what he couldn't get. For example, an average citizen of the Federation could at most open an account with 100 years of lifespan in the Federation…
Someone like him, however, a Starweaver, could store up to 7,000 years minimum. That was a massive gap, but seeing the powers an average Starweaver could wield, it was normal to assume their wealth could reach these levels after several years of work.
It also went to prove one thing. Enzo, as he was, was no longer an ordinary person in societal standards. He was a person of status.
"We have several Starlight Silver capsules out on premium. Would you like to open one? It has a capacity of 10,000 years," the lady spoke in a rather robotic tone, her lines seemingly rehearsed.
From just seeing the colors of Enzo's uniform and the badge, she could tell that he was a Special Programmes student. That usually coincided with rich kids from powerful backgrounds.
Pulling out an account like this was not a strange thing. The affluential loved to be treated specially.
"That one is okay," Enzo nodded.
He wanted something that could store as much time as he could get in the coming future. He had asked Zhou and Mira to sell off the starlight essence they stole from Astoria in a black market while they were gone.
But he needed an account to put his share in, hence not collecting it all this while.
"Okay, fill this form, honorable master." The receptionist smiled and handed Enzo some documents.
After filling it, his account was successfully opened, and he deposited a total of 810 years inside of it, leaving his balance at 310 years on his body.
"Thank you." After receiving his capsule account number, he then stepped away from the reception and sent the number to Zhou through his coms.
He expected his wealth to climb by at least 600 years after Zhou made a transfer.
As Enzo was leaving the bank, however…
"Malvaran."
Suddenly, a familiar voice called out to him, forcing him to stop in his tracks and look over.
"Senior Titus?" Enzo raised his eyebrow as he saw the tall young man walking towards him in a confident strut.
For most students, after finishing their projects, it was the end of the session. They only had to wait for the final results.
It was much easier to be in this state specifically once one was a third year, since their projects were individual.
"What are you doing out here? Aren't you guys supposed to be in Defi?" Titus asked, reaching out to grab Enzo by the arm while simultaneously pulling him in for a hug, a sign of familiarity that wasn't previously there.
"I… had to rush back for an errand," Enzo, feeling a bit unbalanced, smiled, then panned his gaze to the people standing behind Titus.
He knew two of them.
One was Jade, the leader of the Ice Lake Club, and the other was Master Black, his leather black clothing a massive contrast to the current environment.
"Good day, Master Black." Enzo, seeing the instructor, immediately bowed in his direction, showing respect.
Master White had saved him and his family by bringing them here. He owed him a debt of gratitude that he was unsure of ever paying back.
"Hm." Seeing Enzo, Master Black nodded and led the other third years away towards a back street, fading out from view.
"Do you have time? We need to talk." Watching the rest leave, Titus nodded, turned to Enzo, and pointed at a bar far off into the roadside.

"So how's Defi? Heard the Vice Regent finally got that poison witch…" Inside the restaurant, Titus chewed down on a plate of scrambled eggs, his gaze looking around.
That old witch was one of the reasons the Vice Regent was such a hard ass. That thing was one obsession that even the Grand Regent couldn't pull out from his mind.
"You mean Mother Venom Milk? Yeah…" Enzo nodded.
In Titus's time, he couldn't find the witch despite having prior information about her. It was definitely one of the many points of regret he might have had too.
"Yeah, she's a crafty one," Titus nodded, then with a smile picked up a bowl of a carbonated beverage, poured out, and gulped down several times.
"Anyway, what's done is done. Congratulations." Titus added, then with his gaze panned around to look at a table in front of him.
"Wondering why these people are all around?" Titus asked, pointing to the group with his lips pursed.
Yes, the institute seemed much more crowded than usual. It was drastically out of place, yet everyone seemed to act normal.
"Yes, please," Enzo nodded seriously, clearly interested.
"They are here for an opportunity that the institute is currently chasing. This is only the beginning," Titus spoke calmly and with utmost seriousness.
"These people are actually your seniors, alumni of the institute, so you don't need to be too worried. In fact, you can go ahead and mingle if you want a shot at their organization after graduation." Suddenly, Titus smiled and changed the topic as he continued to dig into the plate of food in front of him.
