"STOP FUCKING MOVING ALREADY AND DIE!" – shouted the beastmen duo as they rushed in and smacked the knight golem right in the head, straight up making it fly off its body.

The golem with its extremely damaged body barely walked around, before then finally falling on the ground, collapsing and splitting apart.

*Phew*

"This bastard is finally dead…. Right?" – asked one of the beastmen with hammer as the group stared around the knight golem remains.

"…"

"Nope…. It is dead alright." – said the leader.

"Huh…. That didn't even took a half of hour, maybe even less than 10 minutes? Or even 5?…. If anything, he was as strong as other golems?" – said the mage.

"Hey, you were once adventure, is this normal?"

"No….. It is not." – replied the leader with annoyed expression.

"…"

(Everything is wrong.) – thought the leader.

(All of its physical abilities were as same if not worse than other golems than we had thought.)

(There was also no special ability whatsoever as well.)

(It would make somewhat sense if there were at least other golems here, but this thing was here alone?)

(No matter how you look at this, this guy should not be this week at all.)

"Hey. I know we beaten him and all, but something isn't right here." – said the leader, confusing the members of his group.

"Keep your guard up."

"This guy was 100% not the dungeon master….. And I'm considering the fact that whatever is behind that door isn't where the core is hidden."

Even though the hooded figures had eliminated the "dungeon master", the leader of the group realized that something was off.

He realized that the victory just now was far too easier compare to previous powerful monsters he had hunted down when he was still active adventurer.

He realized that the being that the group just slew may not had been the dungeon master in the first place, but instead an imposter.

But even so, he had a mission.

It doesn't matter how many of his subordinates die.

As long as the mission is completed, everybody will get paid.

But even so, he couldn't shake off the feeling.

The feeling of danger.

However, he didn't stopped.

Instead, he ordered his soldiers to move forward towards the door and get ready.

A place where the dungeon core is hidden.

Or so the group think.

"You two. Like again. Open up the door, but slowly." – said the leader, ordering the two hammer wielding beastmen to open the double door that was right in front of the group.

The two beastmen fallowed the leader command and opened up the door.

But as soon as they did, something like a ball flew out of the gab.

"?"

The beastmen that were the ones opening the door saw something.

A ball like object with four legs sticking out from its bottom just flying right in front of them.

"!?"

"GET- "

The leader instantly realized that the object was definitely not safe…. But before he could give the warning, the sphere exploded, unleashing a explosion that hit everybody near the door.

"!?"

(Explosions?! Magic?!) – thought the panicking leader.

"SHIT! CLOSE THE DOOR! CLOSE THE DOOR NOW!" – shouted the leader.

"!"

The duo of beastmen quickly tried rushing towards the door and closing it, but before they could do it, two more ball like creatures jumped out between the doors and onto the group, before then instantly blowing up and forcing back the two beastmen.

(The hell are those!? Are these creatures blowing themselves up?!) – thought the leader before then noticing something between the doors.

"!"

The leader quickly swung his blade, barely parrying in time a crossbow bolt that flew his way.

"GET AWAY FROM THE DOORS!" – shouted the leader.

"NEW ENEMIES ARE COMING!"

In the panic the hooded people quickly ran away from the door and armed themselves with their weapons as the sounds of something approaching could be heard through slightly opened door, alarming the entire group.

"Mages! Prepare spells!" – shouted the leader as the doors started getting opened up.

As the doors opened wide open, a sound of something marching could be heard coming closer and closer…. Before finally they entered the room.

"Shit."

"I knew it. The guy from before wasn't the boss monster."

What entered the room was the new generation of the golems.

The golem knights.

Alongside there were several other golems, a humanoid type golems that somewhat resembles golem knights, but with much weaker bulkier build and visible lower quality weapons as well as noticeable wooden parts.

"!?"

"The hell are those?!" – asked confused hooded figure.

"Hey! Wasn't the core supposed to be behind the door!? Why the hell there are more monsters instead!?" – shouted one of the hooded figures.

"CAN'T YOU FIGURE OUT ALREADY!?" – shouted the leader.

"That thing we just slain wasn't the dungeon master!"

"It was fake!"

"The dungeon isn't a single floor dungeon!"

"It is maybe multiple floored one!"

"S-shit! What do we do!? Do we retreat!?" – asked panicking beastman with hammer.

"Calm down you fucking idiots!" – shouted the leader.

"Look!"

"Those knight looking golems, they are the same as the guy before!"

"We easily defeated it and we didn't had to go all out!"

"There is only 10 of them in total and others looks like a inferior version of them!"

"Just keep your shit together and keep up the formation!"

The small army of golems began rushing towards the group, which was then responded with the mages firing off their earth and ice magic spells at the golem soldiers hitting them and visible damaging them.

But it did not stopped them.

"!?"

"The hell?! Why aren't they stopping!?" – said confused mage.

"!"

"Look out!" – shouted the leader as he quickly rushed in, blocking a crossbow bolt that almost headshoted the mage.

"!"

(What the actual fuck!? What is with this power!?) – thought the leader as he gazed at the golems and noticed one of the knight golems with crossbow arm reloading his weapon.

(I've barely blocked that just now! Speed and power is much higher than before!)

The leader quick analysis skills started warning him.

After just from one shot from the golem knight, he realized something was very off.

And before long he would find out as the golem puppet soldiers and the hooded figure began clashing with each other.

"Piss off ya wankers!" – shouted the beastmen duo with hammers as they struck the golem soldiers, landing two solid hits on them.

"!?"

"The hell?" – said one of the hammer wielding beastmen as he noticed the puppets getting right back up.

"Em…. Okay? They can take a hit?" – said confused beastman.

"Well, they took damage, so it means we can kill them, right brother?!" – said the second beastman before moments later duo engaged in the fight with puppet soldiers.

"Careful! Something is off about these ones!" – shouted the leader as he rushed to help out the frontlines, only to encounter the knight golem standing in his way.

"Piss off!" – shouted the leader as he quickly swung his sword, but not managing to land a hit as the golem used its shield to block the attack.

"!?"

(What?! He blocked this attack?!) – thought surprised leader who unlike before when he was testing out the golem ability went for the kill this time.

The golem knight raised its sword and then swung it down, forcing the leader to quickly react and block the attack.

But-

"!?"

(The fuck!? The impact is way stronger than before as well!?)

(They look the same, but this guy is nothing like the previous one!) – thought the leader, realizing that the golem knight he was facing was far superior compare to the one that was easily dismasted by the hooded group.

"CAREFUL!" – shouted the leader as he struggled against golem blade.

"THESE GUYS AREN'T- "

"AAAAAAAAAA!"

"!"

But unfortunately for him, he wasn't the only one who found out about the new enemies difference in strength.

The leader quickly turned around upon hearing the screams of his comrades, realizing that the worst is happening right now.

The golem soldiers who were made out of wood and iron weren't exactly fragile or weak, they could stand their ground AND take a hit, while also landing some deadly blows of their owns.

While the golem knights were making their presence known by easily overwhelming some of the hooded figures.

Speed, durability, strength.

All of their physical abilities were much higher compare to the prototype golem knight.

"…"

(Huh…. This is…. This is going far easier than I've thought?) – thought Thauma.

"Fuck! Why isn't it going down!? Die already! DIE! DIE!" – shouted the panicking ice mage as he fired off icicles at the crossbow wielding golem who just used its large two fingered blade like hand as shield, blocking the attacks, before then firing its crossbow at the mage and straight up shooting the mage right in the chest, instantly piercing his heart, taking him down with single powerful shot.

"SHIT! BOSS! THIS ISN'T WORKING!" – shouted the earth mage.

"These monsters are nothing like the ones from before!"

"I can fucking see that!" – shouted the leader as he knocked back the sword golem blade before then quickly counter attacking, landing a soldi slash on the golem torso before it could block the attack with its shield.

"…"

"Shit." – but the attack was nowhere near enough to take down the golem, forcing the leader to quickly back off as the golem knight tried attacking him.

(I've just used sword art now!) – thought the leader as he tried gaining some distance.

(And this guy took it!? I would understand if it was with the shield, but he took it head on and survived!?)

(There is no mistaking it, these guys are far worse than those big golems!)

"FUCK IT!"

"RETREAT!"

"!?"

"Retreat!?" – shouted one of the twin beastmen.

"But we are about to reach the core!" – shouted the second twin.

"YOU FUCKING IDIOTS! LOOK AROUND!" – shouted leader.

"These things are far stronger than ones from before!"

"Not only that, we don't know how many of these are in the dungeon!"

"Even if we were to win this with loses, there is no way we can conquer the dungeon!"

"Just fucking go!" – shouted the leader, ordering a full on retreat.

The hooded figures tried knocking away or keeping in tracks the soldier and knight golems, allowing the group to try and open up the escape path….. But there was a problem.

As the group tried escaping, the round golems suddenly appeared right in front of their eyes, before then blowing up.

The series of explosions caught yet again the hooded figure off guard, confusing, knocking them back or straight up finishing off the injured hooded figures.

"!?"

"The hell they came from!?" – shouted the earth mage.

"!"

"ABOVE!" – shouted one of the hooded figure as he pointed to the room celling, pointing at the walking sphere golems that were attached to the room ceiling.

Few hooded figure tried going towards the exit once again, but as soon as they did, the sphere golems let go and free fallen down, landing on top of the running hooded people and then just blowing them up.

"SHIT!"

"BOSS!"

"THEY BLOCKED OFF THE EXIT!"

"!?"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY BLOCKED EXIT!?" – shouted the leader as he tried keeping the knight golems at bay.

"These bombs things! They are blocking off the exist!" – said the earth mage as he fired off {Stone Bullets} at the puppet soldier that somehow got close to him.

"Then do something about them! I'm already busy on my own end!" – shouted the leader as he was slashed by the double wielding axe golem, hitting the leader in the shoulder and causing him to bleed, but not finishing him off as he quickly used {Sword Art: Heavy}, landing a heavy hit on the golem neck, damaging it….. But not destroying it.

(FUCK! THE HELL IS GOING ON?!) – thought panicking leader.

(Just how did-)

"!"

(Oh fuck! Back then when the fight started!)

(They were acting as distraction!)

(These golems ball things must had climbed on the celling while nobody was paying attention!?)

(But this doesn't make sense!)

(They are using tactics now!?)

(Before they acted even more animalistic than animal monster!)

(This doesn't-)

"…"

(Crap….. It was a trap.) – thought the leader before then getting hit right in the shoulder by the knight golem's crossbow, knocking the man down.

"F-fuck!" – the leader tried quickly getting up, but before he could, he was surrounded by three knights golems.

"!"

"WAIT!" – shouted the leader as he tried begging for mercy…. But the golems showed non as they began stabbing and slashing the fallen leader, reaping apart his flesh bit by bit in brutal fashion…. Instantly killing the leader, the moment opportunity showed itself.

The strongest member of the group was instantly taken down the moment he had fallen….. And the rest?

Trapped.

On one side there was a small army of new golems that had already killed few of the hooded figures.

While on the other end, the end where the exit is located, there was an ambush. A ambush of the explosive spider like monsters that were just waiting to drop on top of the hooded figures and blow them up the moment they try to leave.

It didn't took long for the group to realize what was happening…. Since who couldn't in this blunt situation?

It was a death trap.

And they had fallen right in the middle of it.
