"What is up with all this commotion?" – asked a prisoner before moments later the prison doors opened, fallowed up with several people being thrown into the cell by the golems.

"FUCK! HEY! LET US GO! LET US FUCKING GO!" – shouted the beastman soldier who was stripped of his armor and weapons.

"It won't work. These things aren't really living people." – said the beastman prisoner.

"!?"

"Wait, other people?" – asked confused female human knight.

"…Yeb….. Royal…. Noble?" – asked beastman prisoner.

"Noble…. Was… We rebelled after Duke Ash had betrayed us." – replied nervous the human soldier.

"W-what is this place?"

"Can't you tell? Dungeon." – said the beastman prisoner.

"And this is a prison."

"Toilet is there."

"And food here comes regularly…. Enough to keep us all in proper shape."

"B-but why! Why were we captured?!" – asked female human knight.

"And what is up with this dungeon?!"

"Beats me." – replied beastman prisoner.

"You met him, right? The 6 armed one…. He seems the one who rules this place….. And the only reason why he doesn't kills us outright is simple."

"He has uses for us."

(According to these soldiers, they were rebels.) – thought Thauma as it was sorting through informations it just obtained from captured soldiers.

(The Noble faction betrayed their own soldiers and willingly sent them to their death... But why?)

When you think about the dungeon you usually think of a cave like structure that stretches far where at the end you met a ruler of the dungeon.

But that only applies to the low rank dungeon that are still young.

As the dungeon grows, they will be able to mutate, change forms and become something new.

Some dungeon will just end up extending itself even further.

But some dungeons will end up changing their nature and shape.

The cave could end up being transformed into a forest, a snowfield or even volcano.

Sometimes it won't be just in a form of a path, but instead a large territory where you have to traverse the terrain unlike just going forward in a single path.

There are also cases of the dungeon being enlarged inside, making it so for example 1 kilometer outside could be even up to 5 kilometers on outside.

Days and night cycles.

Edible fruits and drinkable water.

Buildings, roads or even castle like constructs could be inside.

As the dungeon growth, so does their nature.

But as the dungeon growths, it needs new organs.

Dungeon heart.

When the dungeon growths and matures enough, it will able to create "Dungeon Hearts".

The dungeon expands my claiming the territory around it, fusing it and combining together. It like veins.

And once the dungeon reaches the certain point of growth, they will evolve, creating a new organ called "Dungeon Heart".

This organ has multiple functions and meanings.

First thing first, it is not exactly like a core of the dungeon, but instead a space.

This space will not allow the dungeon to growth further, but it will also provide additional miasma.

This is something that each dungeon will need to make in order to expand their power.

However, these is a problem.

This space cannot really operate without somebody.

Like the dungeon master is the other part of the dungeon core, something needs to be the other part of the Dungeon Heart.

And that is the creature that the adventures call a floor boss.

With the help of the Dungeon Heart, a powerful and mighty monster can be born to guard the location.

And depending on how the dungeon is formed, these monsters maybe the gate keepers that blocks off the passage for the intruders.

"Huh….. What about the Noble faction's forces? Are they coming?"

"No." – replied soldier.

"We have yet receive any word about reinforcements coming."

"By the looks of things they had abandoned this territory completely."

"Okay. What the actual fuck." – said the human knight.

"Sir?" – replied confused soldier.

(First they were dead set on protecting this place, even if it meant sacrificing their own soldiers for nothing…. And now they are just giving up like this?)

"Purple and... Wait. Mowiorano kingdom!?" – said surprised knight.

"If it wasn't for the hunting squad looking for the remains of the Noble faction, we wouldn't had even spotted them."

"They want power as do we, unlike the Royal faction."

"With the Royal faction forces being heavily splitted between for locations, even a kingdom with weak military like Mowiorano can now deal a lethal blow to the Royal faction."
