"Among the things that we would need before we start to move to that location are our levels, skills, weapons, and the items that we are carrying. Also, if it is possible, I would like you all to have a sub-class that suits you the best," I said, observing their faces, while they nodded at me. Their eyes, pondering about something, they stared at the empty space in front of them,.
Having a sub-class is actually going to be a big boost. But honestly, the better the subclasses, the harder and longer it takes to obtain them. Especially for the rare classes. They have quite tricky conditions regarding how one can obtain them. I pondered before looking at Trisha and G, who were already working towards their Sub-Classes, before turning to Blaze, Link, and Raven.
"Did you three decide on any subclasses?" I asked.
If there was something that they wanted, I would tell them an easy way to get it. Otherwise, I could suggest some subclasses that would be good for their skill sets.
"I was thinking of something that would suit my [Spearman] class. Given my best skill is throwing, is there any class that can help me maximize that?" Blaze asked, pondering deeply about his class.
So he had decided to completely focus on a throwing-based class, huh? Well. I had already anticipated something like that. I thought of presenting two options that would suit him.
"There are Javelin-Throwers that might suit you. Or if you can do the hard work, there is also a rare subclass known as Atlatlists. As far as I know, they work with spears and have good throwing directed skills," I said, making him nod before opening up his system and using the forum to find out more about this subclass.
The forum was a good place to learn about a lot of Rare Classes and even a few Unique Classes. Just that, that's all it was limited to. If you wanted a good Unique Class, Sub-Class, Weapon, Item, or anything above that in the Epic or Legendary category, you would need to venture it for yourself.
However, if one really wants to succeed in Arcadia, other than those who are particularly skilled, one needs to do at least this much to stand out from others. Sadly, even I didn't know of any unique subclass or legendary subclasses.
My previous subclass, Archane Walker, was something I had chosen to maximize the potential of my race, Dhampir. Though since I haven't chosen that race this time, I think I should also try to figure out a class that can maximize the time-related abilities that I was aiming to get. I pondered about my sub-class, which I was going to choose.
"What do you think is best for the priest?" Link asked as he looked at me, slightly embarrassed.
During one of my in-between sessions, Link had asked me if there was a way he could be more useful to the party. In the fight against the Witch and the Devil, all he did was just watch. And he didn't like how useless he felt back then. Even the viewers were quite harsh with their comments, pulling down the already low morale of his.
Still, being a streamer and a partner to one for so long, something like that wasn't enough to cull him. Instead of focusing on the negative, he focused on the things he could work towards.
When he came to me at that time, I told him to improve his skills and levels first, since the best thing about a priest is his skill set, and the most they shine is against the undead or creatures of the night. In fact, priests were the easiest to reach a high point, given that they can just upgrade their skills by healing the NPCs or even players.
Because it was going to be a high-class later, it was pretty much obvious that the devs would balance it to be a weak class in the beginning.
"A Sub-Class for a priest, huh? I think you are asking the wrong question. Priests themselves are a versatile class that can evolve according to the skillset they have. You can get healing enchantments, pick up a weapon, and become a battle priest. If you want to know about the best subclass that would suit you, it is better to ask just what kind of gameplay you would like to play." I explained and then asked, making him ponder for a few seconds.
He turned to others around him.
Looking at Raven and then back at me, he knew that he couldn't catch up to us. Even Blaze was barely able to support because of how good his battle intuition is, and how he was only focusing on that aspect.
Trisha was a pure support class, while G, the newest member, was a range unit.
He pondered for a few more seconds before answering me,
"I would like to become a pure healer who can support all of you. If possible, a buff-type healer."
"A buff-type healer? Hmmm… while there are many sub-classes, I think the most that would suit you would be a Rear Arcanist," I answered, giving it deep thought.
Arcanist, as a Main Class, was a huge mana-based damage-dealer class. But when it came to the subclass, there were two focuses. A Vanguard Arcanist that had most damage-based abilities and a Rear Arcanist that focused on the passive abilities of the class.
It had three main abilities.
One was to provide passive buffs or debuffs to the parties or enemies, as an added effect, to the already cast spell.
The second was to use a few skills like [invisibility] and [Mirage] to hide their presence.
Lastly, a base buff of 20% Total Mana Points.
While it wasn't a Unique or Rare by any means, this subclass was somehow pretty impressive if paired with a good Main Class like priests, healers, mana archers, or even a few melee classes that worked with enchantments.
Link nodded as he too began looking through the forum about that Sub-Class. Meanwhile, I turned to Trisha, who had been keenly observing up until now.
"How much inventory space do you have right now?" I asked since she was going to carry most of our items throughout the whole quest.
"Currently 60," she answered, at which I nodded. Once she reaches level 20, her carrying capacity should increase to 100. Plus, she should gain the [Desperate Call] skill, which allows one to use all the abilities and the stats from the weapons carried in their inventory for 10 minutes.
The only downside of that skill was its 7-day cooldown; otherwise, it could have been the most overpowered class in the entire Arcadia.
"All right. I guess, then the first priority is to level up. Hmmm. Let's aim to reach level 20 for now," I said as I decided that with that number, we can be barely coordinated enough to challenge the throne.
With that said, I then began moving deeper into the forest, the area where adequate and strong monsters usually spawned. That was honestly the best way to level up right now. And also our skills, too.
