MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 114: Travel: Day 3

Perhaps we were in luck, or was it just a good amount of preparation that we did not encounter even a single monster throughout the night?

Indeed, there were a few that were sighted at a distance, but none were curious enough to get closer to the wasteland beyond the forest. Perhaps it was a deadland where the number of monsters was lower, or maybe the wasteland itself warded off monsters.

That was something I didn't know, but was genuinely happy about. This saved a lot more of our items and weapons that we can now fully utilise once we reach the Temple.

As the first sunshine pierced the horizon and the dark night slowly turned brighter, I saw the dark wasteland becoming more visible again.

[Directional Clairvoyant Scroll]

Using the scroll, I then recalled the image of the temple, the path I had taken before, and saw if it indeed worked or not. Will it read my memories and give me direction? Or will it just be a dud? I had to find that out for a while now.

Much to my surprise, I then saw a thin red line forming on the sand in front of me. It went far into the wasteland, guiding us to the place where I had once been before in my past life.

Now this is interesting. I thought as I looked at that line with a serious, narrowed look.

Honestly speaking, I more or less believed that it would not work like this. I guessed that something from the past, unless of course, it's related to my regression, I won't be able to connect it again.

For example, using my memories to get my class or get familiar with the Angel of Time, whom I had once met. Or perhaps even try to see if those entities, related to time, would remember me. But that was just a wishful thought that I had placed at the back of my mind.

But now…

Is Arcadia related to my regression? I recollected everything about the whole thing once again. From the start, where Charles had shot me, or perhaps even before that, when I got the [Time Seer] class.

But in the end, I could not reach any conclusion whatsoever.

I mean, I did indeed have a lot of knowledge about the game and that class, but on the other hand, my knowledge of that particular gun that Charles used was extremely limited. Other than its colour, size, and shape, I honestly knew nothing about it.

Except for the fact that it had many bullets, but the last one was used on me. I recalled what Charles had said to me at that time.

Whatever the case may be, this whole thing just got a whole lot more important than before. Even if I was going to take it with utmost seriousness before, now I have to see it as if my entire life depended on this quest.

"Boss?" Blaze asked, a bit concerned as he saw me standing there for the past few minutes, not saying a single word. Snapping out my thoughts, I turned to him and then to the others who were observing me with a similar gaze.

"It's nothing. I just recalled something important in my real life," I answered before adding," let's go. We need to reach the destination before dusk."

Walking into the wasteland, I then guided the rest of the party members slowly through the red line. Honestly, I had no idea how far the temple was or when we would reach it. However, if everything were the same as the last time, we would most probably reach the location within 10 hours at most.

"Boss," this time Link got closer to me, with a subtle look, he then continued,

"The money from the video and the stream would come on the 7th of next month, but we still have many gifts and subscriptions on the paid videos. It totalled about $72,000 right now, and as we had decided before, I wanted to ask about the method to transfer it to you. Will it be the same as the last time for item exchange, or should we transfer it to your bank account?"

An amount like that would be helpful in recruiting the rest of the members of the guild. I thought before saying,

"Keep that money with you. Once it's collected enough, I will explain the rest of the details."

My next target was another Damian White, living 3 cities away from here. He was a 34-year-old red-haired man who ran an orphanage that functioned on donations.

There was also a Charles Richard working in the same city, though on the opposite corner of the orphanage. A young kid who couldn't afford to study and was forced to get into labour from a young age.

While meeting them is indeed important, I don't think I would need to exclusively help them from the front. I can ask Ciana to help the kid get admitted into the Orphanage, while also providing some money to get him a few neat clothes and books.

As for the orphanage itself, I could just ask Blaze to send all my money to that orphanage and do a slight promotion of the stream. It would be a win-win situation for all.

"Actually. If the amount reaches over 100,000$ before the month ends, just inform me, and I will then task you and Blaze to do something for me. I think it would be good for your stream too," I said as I found this idea genuinely good.

As for meeting them personally. I could do it after the donation. Perhaps a few days later. I concluded with a deep thought.

"Sure, boss," Link responded before returning towards Blaze and discussing what I had just said.

Hmmm. If it's that city, wasn't there a famous tourist spot nearby? I then pondered if I could get mom a vacation once I earn enough to travel. I think it would be nice to do it. Especially during the time between the exam and the results.

I think we have a two-week break. I mumbled as I began thinking more about the places to visit and things we can do there.
