Jaden looked at Zaria with a puzzled look and questioned, "Contractee of the Fairy of Space?"
Zaria opened her mouth in a perfect O while her eyes shone with unspoken understanding, "Do you know about all of the realms?"
He gave her a confused nod and raised three fingers before responding.
"The mortal realm," he folded one finger, "The dream realm," the second finger, "The shadow realm," and lastly the third finger.
Hearing him, she heaved a deep sigh as she hit her head with an open palm.
Seeing her acting strangely, he furrowed his brows and questioned in a doubtful tone, "Did I say something wrong?"
Zaria shook her head, her expression somewhere between exasperation and pity. "No, you didn't say anything wrong."
She continued, "There are three more... The spirit realm, The banished realm, The mental realm."
'There are more than three realms?' He thought.
Seeing the confusion that painted his face, Zaria let out a hot breath as she clasped her hands together and continued with a smile of ecstasy, "L-let me explain all of the realms to you.
The dream realm is where the nightmares are born; it is a semi-physical realm, which means it can birth both physical and spiritual entities.
The mortal realm is simply where we have been living since the dawn of time; it is a physical realm, so it only births physical entities.
The shadow realm is where the shadows of the dead go to enter the cycle of reversion: the shadows break into mana, which then flows in all realms. It's neither physical nor spiritual.
The spirit realm is the realm where the fairies and the Heavenly tree exist; it is a spiritual realm.
The banished realm is a realm we don't know much of, and even surviving there is considered impossible, as it's ravaged by chaotic storms.
Lastly, the mental realm or realms are those that exist within our mind: it's basically a zone of enhanced understanding. Over the course of history, we have seen many of them, like the realm of swords, the realm of spears and many more."
She said all of that in a single breath, breathing heavily with a wild, euphoric smile once she finished.
Jaden looked at her with eyes that screamed: WTF?!! At the same time, he focused on her words.
'So... the [Epiphany Zone] is similar to a mental realm? How interesting...' He opened his lips to question her, but suddenly a soft voice called out to them.
"How long are the two of you going to stand at the doors?"
Jaden and Zaria turned towards the voice, which appeared to be coming from the inside of the classroom.
Just as they turned, the tall door opened by itself, and their eyes fell on a woman who had a crafty smile tugging at her lips as she looked at both of them with her vibrant red eyes that looked as if flames were dancing in them.
Her fiery crimson hair was tied into an elegant ponytail that draped over her right shoulder.
She wore a black shirt with red gem buttons and flame-like embroidery that looked alive as it covered her slender waist and ample chest. A red and black checked long skirt that hid her knees with a pair of black combat boots. An open black padded jacket completed her outfit.
She was just as beautiful as the other arcane knights.
Zaria suddenly bowed and apologised loudly, "I-I am sorry, Miss Kathrine."
Kathrine gave her a faint nod and shifted her eyes to Jaden and asked, "Are you not going to apologise? Student, whatever your name is."
Jaden also bowed and apologised softly, "I am truly ashamed for being unaware of your presence, Miss Kathrine."
A vein throbbed at Kathrine's forehead, but she drank her anger and spoke with a slightly irritated tone, "Get in."
Both of them looked at each other and gave a short nod before stepping inside. Right when they stepped inside, a cheerful voice resounded within the classroom.
"Jaden!"
A smile appeared on Jaden's face as he looked at the right corner, as well as the owner of the voice, Arden, who sat at the last third bench with Jamie and before them sat Navin.
He shifted his gaze to the left, where the benches of females were and found Selina and Shelly sitting at the first bench. He gave a soft smile to both of them as he walked towards Navin's bench.
Zaria sat beside Shelly, offering an embarrassed smile, met only by Shelly's usual indifference.
The sound of a crunch echoed within the classroom as Selina looked at the broken pen in her hand.
'Who is this bitch to walk with MY Jaden?' Thought Selina while keeping a calm act on the surface.
Shelly nudged her, a faint frown—no wider than a fingernail—creasing her face, "Is there anything troubling you, young lady?"
Selina turned her head towards her and shook her head.
"No, it is nothing."
Jaden sat beside Navin and gave him a hearty smile, but before he could say anything—
Kathrine clapped once, her voice cutting through the air.
"Attention, everyone!"
Hearing her, all of the students, including Jaden, focused on her. Kathrine gave them a nod and clasped her hands behind her back as she paced the slightly elevated platform for the teachers.
"Most of you must be thinking about what the section S0 is? Its full name is Special Zero. In simple terms, it's a section created for those who have displayed great physical results." She paused.
Hearing that, Jaden frowned in thought.
'How would they even evaluate our skills without knowing what had happened within the dream realm?'
Seeing the look of confusion on the faces of a few, Kathrine's eyes sparkled as she continued, "Some of you might be wondering how it's even possible to evaluate your skills? Well, the academy thinks that returning alive from the dream realm after a year is enough proof of your skills."
