Jaxon's punch roared forward without hesitation, a sneer on the corner of his lips, but then,
VROOOOM!
His fist met with nothing but air, as the punch wheezed past Everlearn's ears.
"He dodged it!?"
Jaxon said unconsciously, withdrawing his fist back.
He unconsciously blinked once, and in the next blink, his eyes widened to their max as he found a massive palm inches away from his face.
He moved his head to the side, avoiding the palm, but...that only happened in his head.
Everlearn's hand gripped onto his face, and Jaxon felt his feet dangle in the air before,
BOOOOOOOOM!
A crater appeared in the ground like a spiderweb as a figure smashed into the ground headfirst, blowing the cemented floor into cracks.
The group's eyes widened in shock as they stared at Jaxon, his head half-buried in the crater.
In the next moment, he was raised by Everlearn, who stared at the boy with blood staining over half his face.
Looking into his right eye, he asked,
"If I am trash, what are you?"
Those were the last things Jaxon heard before the sound of air howling past his ear rang out, and in the next moment, he found himself on the road—
PIIIIIIIIIIIIM!
A car horn echoed out, but he failed to react in time, and the bus slammed into him, sending him flying off the road and smashing into another light pole.
"BLEEERRGH!"
Blood burst out of his lips, and he collapsed headfirst onto the ground, eyes rolling to the back of his head.
"Fuck off."
Everlearn said curtly to the group still standing before him, and they chickened out this time, running to the unconscious Jaxon.
'Idiots.'
He mused to himself before continuing on his way.
Unbeknownst to him, just across the pavement, a boy holding a camera was seemingly taking pictures of passing vehicles.
He had accidentally recorded the entire fight and quickly uploaded it to the X-Net.
The title was:
"Human Vs Corer. Unbelievable Win."
Within minutes, it had amassed hundreds of views, sparking an uproar that spread throughout the entire X Academy.
All of this had nothing to do with Everlearn, who returned to his dorm room.
Bringing out his green card, he swiped it and stepped in.
The first thing he did was go to his bedroom and check things out.
He was pleasantly surprised when he saw the wall that had been broken this morning had already been fixed, and there was even a new punching bag waiting for him.
"He really did fix it up, huh?"
"That means I can blow this place up as much as I want,' he mused, wicked ideas forming in his head until,
BEEP!
BEEP!
The sound of his device beeping rang out, and he checked only to find a message waiting.
[{From: Dorm Officer}]
[{Message: Every dorm user only gets a free three-time fix of their room. You have already used one, leaving two. Use them wisely.}]
'I guess that's a no,' he mused silently, shrugging it off before he got out of the bedroom and back to his living room.
Grabbing his bag from under the sofa, he had hidden it there due to the dorm officer's presence.
He still had some materials left, but their quantity was far too low.
Low enough that he couldn't craft the second object he had planned to make.
"I'll need to visit that trash place once more."
"I can't do that tomorrow due to my fusion, but there should be a chance the day after tomorrow."
He mused to himself, collapsing on his sofa as he brought out the cube.
With one tight fold, the nanotech instantly spread out, covering his entire palm as a nozzle formed at its center, crackling with photon energy.
It still amazed Everlearn, and in that moment, another idea couldn't help but snake through his head.
"What if I made an entire armor suit?"
"I'll equip the photon blasters on both my palms and maybe beneath both my feet to gain more jumping momentum."
"Or I could even make a levitating nozzle beneath the feet to achieve flight, and maybe one Ultra large Phton Nucleus on my chest to release an ultimate attack."
"A True Nano Combat Armor."
He mused silently, his brain rapidly working together to piece together how he could achieve that.
'The trash is a good place, but for such a project, I'll be needing good materials."
"After all, just one mistake and I might be the one blowing in the armor before I even blew anything up."
He had good ideas, crazy even, but he was a student. There was only so much he could do.
KNOCK!
KNOCK!
KNOCK!
The sound of knocking rang out on his door, and he turned to it with a raised eyebrow.
'Just who is it this time?'
Still, Everlearn rose, swiping his card and opening up the door.
There he found a familiar head pop up.
"Rosa?"
"Ai yoooooooo."
"What do you want?"
"Waaaah, so harsh. I thought you said we're good now?" She said, and he nodded.
"I did, and we are."
"Why are you here, though?"
"What? Neighbors can't even check up on each other anymore?"
"I'm busy."
"Go check on the other door…" he said, and before he could shut his door, she spoke.
"There is no student there yet?"
"And the other door after that?"
"Still nobody."
"And the other other door after that?"
"There are only the two of us in this corridor. After all, we're the only two in a scholarship program in here…" she said, and he raised an eyebrow.
"What, you don't know?"
"Why else do you think the rooms look shitty compared to the rest of the dorms?" she asked, and Everlearn shrugged.
"I haven't checked out the other dorms, and the room looks good to me."
"It's trash," She replied.
"But the point is, since we're the only two on a scholarship, we're both stuck in this corridor for scholarship program students."
"So, we're the only neighbors of each other."
"I know we started on a bad foot, so how about we start afresh from a neighbor's handshake?" she said, stretching out her hands with the biggest smile possible on a human's face.
Everlearn rolled his eyes before he stepped out of his room, shutting his door closed.
"There's a tracker in between your fingers. You know that, right?"
He answered, stepping toward her, and Rosa unconsciously backed off until her back reached the railing, and she watched him stare down at her.
"A… a tracker? What do you mean… haha."
"Who are you, Rosa?" Everlearn asked.
"And what exactly do you want from me?"
