Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 213: A terrifying existence in the second layer of space

His voice softened.

"That woman is Your mother, Melissa."

He paused, collecting himself.

"Alissa, you should already know this. But I will say it again for Grey's sake."

"Melissa, your mother, is a member of the Dragon Clan hidden within the deepest layers of space, They are a different race from humans and are extremely powerful. Only a few in the entire starry sky even know their clan exists."

A complicated smile touched his lips.

"I met her on a remote planet by sheer coincidence. We traveled together for years, fought side by side, and eventually, we fell in love."

"That was how you were born, Alissa."

But then his expression darkened.

"However, the moment she conceived you, disaster struck."

"The Dragon Clan found us."

His tone grew cold and heavy.

"Your mother was not just any dragon. She was the Dragon Lord's daughter, one of the strongest prodigies to ever exist in the clan. A once in a trillion genius, blessed with a bloodline purer than even the ancient Dragons recorded in their ancestral halls."

"She ran away from the clan to explore the universe. But when she gave birth, her suppressed aura leaked out. The Dragon Clan instantly locked onto her location."

Wang Lin clenched his fists.

"The Dragon Clan is proud and ruthless. Above all, they are obsessed with bloodline purity. To them, humans are an inferior race."

"And Melissa, someone they placed infinite expectations on, had committed the greatest taboo imaginable."

"She eloped with a human."

"She gave birth to a half dragon child precisely with that said bloodline."

His eyes dimmed with old pain.

"They took her away by force. They hunted me. They hunted you, Alissa."

"I fought desperately, but I was only one person. Their numbers were endless and their power overwhelming. I was gravely injured."

"And in my final moments of consciousness, I saw a small blue planet in a forgotten corner of a remote galaxy. With you in my arms, I fell toward it."

Wang Lin took a slow breath.

"When I woke up, my Origin Source had acted on its own. To keep me alive, it completely sealed itself. And with it, all my cultivation, laws, soul power, and my memories."

He looked directly into the camera.

"The Origin Source is the core of a high ranking evolver. If it seals itself, the user becomes no different from an ordinary human."

"That is what happened to me. I lost everything."

"The only thought left in my mind was to keep Alissa safe."

"I wandered the outer ring of Nova City until I finally made enough resources to obtain Federation citizenship. From there, I lived as Richard, just a man trying to raise his daughter in peace."

"Then, a few months later, I started having dreams."

His brows furrowed.

"Dreams of something falling from the sky. Again and again. Like a warning, a premonition forced upon me."

"And one day, as I was returning from work, a streak of light descended from the sky. My body moved on its own and I ran toward it uncontrollably. And in that crater, I found a baby."

Grey's stomach tightened.

"The baby was covered in blood, grievously wounded, barely holding onto life. Yet its vitality refused to fade."

"That baby was you, Grey."

Grey lowered his head slightly.

'Of course.'

'Why would I have a normal background?'

"I brought you to Nova City's hospital. After hours of emergency surgery, the doctors managed to save you. From that day on, I raised you as my own son."

Wang Lin's voice softened.

"Grey, even after my memories awakened, that truth never changed. You are my son. I love both of you equally."

"Blood or not, family is family."

He paused, his expression shifting.

"And now, I must leave Blue Star."

"I have regained fragments of my memory. Your mother is still imprisoned in the Dragon Clan's forbidden region. I must return to Canglan Star, restore my peak strength, and bring her back."

"I may not look like much right now, but in my generation, I stood among the strongest. Your mother cannot remain trapped any longer."

His face turned grave.

"Before I end this message, the two of you must listen carefully."

"Blue Star is not what it seems."

"I sense the power of the Chaos Seal on this planet, a legendary seal that is said to have sealed something powerful. But its location is concealed and someone extremely powerful most likely hid it here deliberately."

"Additionally, the entire Blue Star is surrounded by a barrier, an artificial seal of astonishing power. Whoever created it is far beyond anything this planet can handle."

His tone dropped another note.

"And outside the barrier, I sensed countless powerful corruption fields and life force. And worse, there is a terrifying presence lurking within the second layer of space which is a higher spatial dimension from our three dimensional world, travelling in that plane of existence is far easier when you are travelling across the starry sky."

"I believe it might be a true abyssal being. A pure one that is directly linked to the abyssal lord."

"Right now, it is being held back by Eterna. But for how long, I do not know."

"Do not attempt to leave Blue Star through the second layer of space unless you achieve major succession in the Law of Space. And even then, proceed with extreme caution."

"I must return to Canglan Star. I must fully heal my Origin Source. That is the only way I can intervene in the disaster slowly approaching this planet."

"But do not worry. I am not abandoning you."

"I will return. I will bring your mother out of her prison."

"And I will take both of you back to Canglan Star, where we can finally live in peace."

The projection flickered, and his final words echoed with unwavering warmth.

"No matter what happens, remember this."

"Grey, Alissa, you are my children. I love you both. I will miss each and every second I am out of this planet. These few years were the best time of my life."

...

"To think my father is actually a protagonist." Grey was stunned.

Everything he explained so far felt like a protagonist template.

And look at the guy. He was obviously very handsome and even managed to bag a dragon girl from a top clan.

He was also one of the strongest in his generation and still under fifty years old. There was no need to say much.

This father of his was utterly powerful beyond words.

But Grey was also worried. If this guy was a protagonist, it meant he was a walking trouble magnet. He already had the Dragon Clan on his ass.

Maybe going to Canglan Star with him might be a bad idea after all.
