Dante moved towards his chair and took a seat once again with a sigh, and he smiled as Risa brought a tray with a coffeepot and some cups. Risa poured out three cups for the three men in the room, and she took one of the cups and handed it to Dante with a reverent grace before moving to stand behind Dante's seat. Dante took a sip of the coffee and smiled. It was perfect, as always. Fredrick was still waiting for the explanation from Dante, and Dante put his cup aside before he finally gave Fredrick what he wanted.

"Well first, I think you need to understand what the twilight world is…"

The sound of gunshots echoed through the region like fireworks, and the bright yellow glow of a growing flame lit up the region and cast large shadows over the building! There was smoke rising from the burning remains of the Bellegrini warehouse, and the residents of the lower region of the Fourth District could be heard shouting as they all scrambled to get as far away from the flames as possible! A few streets away from the burning warehouse, a gunfight had broken out between the gangsters working under Silas, and the Cleaners of the Lucas family.

There weren't a lot of people who could claim to be on the same level as a Cleaner. Although there were many gangsters who were very capable of pulling a gun to kill someone in the underworld, there was a very big difference between the ability to pull a gun and the ability to dominate in a gunfight! And although the gangsters working under Silas were more than capable of pulling their triggers, they were nowhere near the Lucas Cleaners when it came to the art of war!

"Alpha Team, on me. Beta Team, move in from the west. Gamma, take to the streets and clear out the runners."

Philip's voice came out rapidly through the comms as he gave orders to the members of the Cleaners! Philip had once been a part of the military, and he had fought in various wars in Afghanistan, so it was obvious that his mannerisms from when he was a soldier would bleed into his actions as a gangster! And even though a lot of the Cleaners weren't used to the military orders the first time they heard it, they had been working with Philip for long enough now that they were more than capable of following his orders without any issue at all!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Philip shot three bullets towards the men who were fleeing at them! He hit two of the men in the head, and the third bullet slammed into a pipe at the side. The burst sprayed water across the air and provided enough cover for him to charge forward! Philip knew that this mission was a test from Dante. Even though Philip was older than Dante and he had been the one leading the Cleaners before Dante took over, Philip was also sure that he was nowhere near the level that Dante was currently. Philip was a good fighter, but he knew he would definitely lose to Dante in both combat and leadership. So right now, Dante was trying to test Philip and see if it was really okay to leave Philip to lead the Cleaners while Dante takes the mantle as the head of the family. Philip had been against the idea of being a gangster when he first joined the family. As a former soldier, he had been fighting against people like the Lucas family, so joining them went against everything he stood for, but after staying with them for so long, Philip had found a family in these people, and Philip knew that he had never been happier than now that he was in the Lucas family! So Philip swore that he would prove himself! If Dante was using this as a test, then Philip was going to do everything in his power to ensure this mission was a success! He would drag that bastard Silas by the fucking tongue if he had to!

Bang! Bang!

Philip dashed through the cover produced by the fog and unleashed two bullets towards two men who had been blinded by the water! Another man at the side tried to shoot him, but Philip grabbed a knife from behind and threw it with pinpoint accuracy into the man's forehead! Philip grabbed a fourth man from the side and he slammed the tip of the gun into the man's stomach and shot him three times in the stomach! Gunshots came from some men who were trying to get Philip, but Philip turned the man he had just shot in the direction of the incoming bullets and he used the man's body as a shield as he ran toward the shooter!

"RARRGGHH!!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Philip released even more bullets towards the man and it wasn't long before the other Lucas Cleaners finally caught up to Philip, and they helped him take out the men!

Bang! Bang!

One of the Lucas family men was taken down when someone suddenly showed up from the upstairs balcony and Philip told all the men to scatter as he saw that the man up there had an automatic rifle!

Ratatatatatata!

The man started to shoot while shouting like a madman! He wasn't even aiming at anyone or anything and he was just trying to cause as much damage as possible to everything around him! Philip clicked his tongue as he counted down the time it would take for the man to run out of ammo, and he was already planning to run out once he heard the click of the empty barrel, but just before he could hear the click, Philip caught sight of a man running behind the man on the other side of the warehouse!

'Silas!'

Philip immediately recognized Silas and he shouted out for his men to cover for him! The Lucas family Cleaners quickly began to unleash an impossible number of bullets on the various other gangsters in the warehouse, and Philip dashed out from behind his cover once he saw the enemy gangsters ducking for cover! Silas was running towards the door on the opposite side of the warehouse and Philip immediately knew that the bastard was trying to escape! Silas was moving too fast for Philip to try and shoot him, so instead he grabbed another throwing knife from behind him and threw it in Silas' direction! The knife flew straight toward Silas, but due to the distance Philip wasn't able to aim perfectly, and it allowed the knife to shoot just beside Silas' head! But this was exactly what Philip had been waiting for!

Philip stopped and pointed his gun at Silas since he knew that the knife would make Silas stop as well! Philip couldn't shoot Silas while running but he didn't have any issues shooting him if he stopped! And the moment Silas turned around, Silas's eyes widened when he saw a gun pointed right in his direction!

Ratatatatatatat!

Silas jumped to the side quickly to avoid the rain of bullets and grabbed his pistol and a knife from behind him while leaning back against a pillar! Silas couldn't believe that things had already escalated to this level! Even without seeing any symbol or colors on the people that were attacking them, Silas already knew that these had to be the Cleaners of the Lucas family. Silas had heard that they were very similar to some of the most dangerous armed forces in the military, but he hadn't believed it since he had never faced off against them before! But now he had no choice but to accept that the rumors had been right. These fuckers were like damn Navy Seals!

'And I heard a large explosion outside just now. It came from the northwest, and that's the same direction that the Madam's warehouse is in. Dammit, if the Madam hears her warehouse was blown up, it'll be my fucking head. I have to kill these bastards and go make sure the goods are still intact! I already called for more backup, but at this rate, we'll all be dead before they arrive!'

Silas grit his teeth in anger as he listened to the bullets striking the pillar he was hiding behind! The rain of bullets continued for a few more seconds as Philip tried to push Silas into a corner and Silas waited for that unmistakable click that showed the rifle was out of bullets before he dashed out from behind the pillar and ran straight towards Philip! Philip's eyes were narrowed in concentration when he saw Silas coming towards him and he quickly dropped his rifle and pulled out his pistol and knife from behind him!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three shots echoed through the room as Silas tried to take Philip out, but Philip was too fast and he dodged it and unleashed three shots of his own toward Silas!
